      Thanks, I started all this just using RUclips as a place to store a few videos of various football stadiums. 8000 subscribers later it’s almost a part time job🤣, I still have plenty to go at when here comes to an end, there is over a year left at the Etihad and Old Trafford should be having something done to it by then. Wrexham and Stockport will also be smaller expansions to follow and of course the demolition of Goodison Park will create a lot of interest.

    I’m sure it’s been measured over and over but that northern barrier fence looks way to close to the stadium considering the amount of fans will be leaving that end and from the western stands aswell, there’s only one side of exit unlike goodison where people leave going in all four directions

    • @cp-overview

      Gary: the distance between the stadium brick facade and the future fence is about 10 m halfway along and slightly larger at the NW end. For reference that is the width of a 3-lane motorwayand that is the smallest concourse width on this site and so much larger larger than the minimum at GP.
      There are absolutely NO entries or exits for Home fans anywhere along the North Stand and Stewards and Security will not be allowing anyone along that route as it's the preserve of vehicles and a few Stadium Staff such as Maintenance, Security and Medical staff.
      There will also be NO vehicle movements one hour either side of the match and only a restricted vehicle movement, by special authorisation, 2 hrs either side of the match.
      The couple of thousand Away Fans will only be walking about 10m under the overhang at the NNE corner and most likely within that 1 hr timespan.

      Jurgen: I don't know this for sure but my guess is as follows.
      I very much doubt that the sand in the water channel, which was dredged from the Irish Sea, will have been taken directly to the pitch area as that sand will be way too salty for a verdant green 'lawn', even with a soil layer on top and it may also be the wrong grade of coarseness/fineness.
      The sand for the pitch will at least need to be 'washed' or treated sand, even IF they HAVE recycled the sand from the water channel.
      My guess is that was why the sand was dug out at the southern half a couple of weeks ago, with the roadway across the northern end of the channel maintained in situ for quite a while, so that the sand could be taken to a specialist facility to treat it before it returned in some prepared form.
      In comparable light I suspect the sand on the pitch will be a little more yellow-brown than the greyish-yellow-brown in the channel (the salt will make it seem greyer).

      Would make financial and environmental sense to recycle the sand from the water channel for the pitch.

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 12 дней назад

      Jurgen: Before pumping in sand at the start of the project, they had to cap/close the valves and pipes through the southern Isolation Bridge, which previously allowed the freshwater in Nelson Dock (from the canals and beyond)(Darker blue water) to migrate into BMD and Sandon Half-Tide Docks that were seawater/saline (blue-green water).The valves that let that happen to a greater or lesser extent before, to allow the natural order of gravity from freshwater to sea, have inspection manholes on top of the south Isolation Bridge.
      To maintain that order without letting Nelson Dock flood, they've been pumping water from Nelson Dock, and the dribbles that permeated to the BMD bedrock in the Water Channel (hence you can see some water level detectors and pipes inserted in the water channel sand still), along the edge of the West Quay to a large blue tank at the northern end where the water is aerated before then being pumped into Sandon just north of the 'dam' before the northern Isolation Bridge.
      So, in summary, 1) Nelson Dock to the south is Freshwater. 2) The BMD Water Channel will be saline/seawater at worst, brackish at best, as a result of the Sandon seawater from under the northern Isolation Bridge being diluted by some freshwater from Nelson and all the groundwater from BMD 3) Sandon Half-Tide is definitely seawater/saline and 4) the Mersey Estuary is also saline/seawater but often carrying a whole lot of sediment so it's a murky brown, more often than not, depending on the seasons.

    Do you know how wide Everton way is and how many engraved tiles/ slates there is to lay?, also will the internal deco be started after Everton take delivery and is there any chance they'll invite you drone pilots back?

    • @cp-overview
      @cp-overview  12 дней назад +1

      I imagine the internal decorating is a mixed effort, my understanding was that Everton and sponsors would be doing specific areas relevant to branding etc and Laing o rourke would do the rest before handover.
      I hope we get to go on another tour near the end but that really is up to Everton/laing o Rourke, I know a second bunch of droners are going on a tour soon so there will be a lot newer footage of inside coming soon.
      I presume the Everton Way will be as wide as that section that has been left, I have no idea how many exactly but know they did sell out both phases. I have one and apart from the email saying my stone was confirmed I have heard nothing else about it.

    A new, sexy neon signage intro to the video? The clicks and "whoosh" have gone in the bin?
    PoI's:
    1) I'm not sure why you thought it'd be easier to spot the spotlights with the shortest perspective possible. You should look diagonally across the pitch area from just over one corner to see them. However, ironically, which made me laugh, you missed that you had caught the group of 5 at the SW corner here at 6:21 mins (halfway up the screen to the left side).
    2) Re the sand, I don't know this for sure but my guess is as follows.
    3) At 8:17 mins you can see the colour (dark-grey to match the panels on the Mansard Roof) of the screed that will be continued across the concrete roof from under the barrel-cladding profile here and is due to be applied to the rooves on all stands. The screed under the barrel-cladding curve has been there for months. You can see also that they have 'painted' the floor in the plant area on the roof of the NW Corner, at 8:58 mins in the dark-grey, which you can see past the galvanised platform for the air-conditioning plant.
    4) Unlike the lights along the barrel-cladding on the East Stand these on the West Stand have not yet been linked with electrical wiring and conduits.
    5) I won't repeat the explanation about the different water content here, as you have it right, Colin.
    6) At 12:35 mins we can see that LoR have dug some shallow graves for Moshiri and other directors in between the '+ shaped' wind baffles! 😉🙃 Perhaps for benches or some other furniture?
    7) At 14:10 mins, the left and central pairs of double-doors are for entry to the retail Shop, which actually stretches right across the whole of the glass frontage of the first floor up as well. the right-hand pair of double-doors are the access to the escalators up to the East Stand Hospitality Lounge(s).
    8) Great spot about the removal of the Northern perimeter fencing. Strange. That'll be an interesting "watch this space" feature.

    • @cp-overview
      @cp-overview  12 дней назад +2

      I had an email from a fellow droner saying someone has copied your intro but the truth was i had originally copied it from somewhere and added my logo in so i could hardly put much claim in for its rights! so decided to create a new one with my very limited skills and refusal to pay for an editing program!
      On the sand debate i also doubt it is being re-used for the pitch, it would indeed have to be filtered etc and surely would be more cost effective to just use the correct one in the first place.
      Something to add is there was originally a 10 week window for the waterway to be dug out which commenced on the 24th July so we are now coming to the end of week 7.
