On July 3 and 4, the 24th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Council was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. CGTN Stringer took to the streets of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala, to learn about people's impressions of China and their expectations for future cooperation between the two countries, both of which are members of the SCO.
Kiran Kumar K., an assistant professor at the Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation, said that China's growth rate over the years has impressed him the most. Besides, a student named Amina Reem V.P. spoke of her interest in the concept of Yin and Yang in Chinese philosophy, saying it means there is a balance between the good and the bad.

The only problem is that india-china border or the line of actual control(lac) is not defined
There are two lac , one is Chinese perception and one is Indian perception we are just saying let us sit on the table and discuss about a single lac

"But china says that leave it for the future generations" - this wasn't true. Zhou En Lai in 60s offered to India 1st PM to resolved the issue once and for all but was rejected completely. In the interview wt domestic media, India's PM revealed his fear of the opposition parties would exploit the issue by accusing him of "selling" India's land to China.
That's the bitter truth, can easily fact check.

except the border issues, i don't think there are any problems between 2 countries.. be it in terms of values or cultural sharing, I definitely prefer east more than west. I hope both countries will improve in mutual tourism and industrial co-operation aspects.

I see that the people are all from the state of Kerala. So obviously the approval rate for China is going to be 90 percent. The opinions and perceptions of Indians on China differs from region to region. But broadly speaking, North India is pretty much Anti-China, while South India has a favourable view of China.
south indians are open and international in outlook. north indians are parochial and provincial.
Reason is north India has faced attacks for more than 2000 years , Invansion,now Pakistan and china so automatically people living in North of India knows more about that , but for South Indians, they don't faced what north has faced,so basically they don't have any anger against china and Pakistan

@@supersayaaain. what a cop-out of an excuse to explain north indians ’ insular mindset. Russia was forever facing attacks and invasion from major european countries and amerikkka since day one, even up to today. China was invaded, colonised and carved up into parts by its european and japanese colonizers for a century. But you wouldn’t call both China and Russia provincial, would you? in fact, the Russians and Chinese are some of the most well-informed well-travelled well-educated and open citizenry in the world.
