This makes so much more sense than the old wrapping technique where one side always ended up funny looking and feel thin. Please carry us along to your next relaxer appointment so that we can see the process :D
This is a blast from the past for me Charisse. I'm a 60 year old woman with hair down to my fanny. My hair is almost as curly and frizzy as a black woman's hair. When I was about nine, there was a commercial on our black and white TV where a black woman showed how to wrap hair around her head. That's when I started wrapping my hair to help make it more manageable. This was the 60's. I also knelt down, put my hair up on the ironing board and ironed it with a real iron!!!!! Thanks for the info as there are many women of all nationalities with severely curly/frizzy hair.
charissechristine23 I'm confused about the ends though because you cant give your hair that turn with your Charmeuse satin scarf or Silky Wrap. That don't seem possible for laying your ends down UNLESS you just brush your ends down after applying the clips so that they lay down.
I put my straight hair in a high ponytail on top of my head, then i roll the ends with a flexi rod. in the morning when i take the flexi rod out and comb my hair down my hair and it comes out soo voluminous
oh my word!! Saw this video a week ago and I must say, this the best youtube hair tutorial I've seen. HELPED SO MUCH not to mention how well it works compared to the "other wrapping way" Thanks!
I stopped wrapping my hair all in the same direction because one side of my hair unwrapped perfectly during the take down while the other side made my scalp feel tender; I would comb it down in the opposite direction after wrapping and it wouldn't fall properly. I love wrapping my hair by using this method.
DenayTheDiva Same issue I would have until I started wrapping my hair like this a few weeks ago. I'd always have one side of my edges so perfectly smooth and the other side wouldn't be as nice.
Awesome, this was super, super simple. Since my hair is shorter, I inserted my clips starting below the crown and going downward. I just have a wrap cap (instead of a full scarf). So I left the clips in, wrapped my hair and I'm able to sleep perfectly fine. Thank you!🤗🤗🤗
Just want to thank you for making this!! My hair is natural and when I straighten it and wrap it in the circle it comes out bent up and creased and weird lol. Can't wait to try tonight!
I like this method so much better than the old traditional way of wrapping! Which is damaging to edges. This way is so much more comfortable and gives the exact same results
You've actually taught me a new method. I can never do it in the traditional way because my hair in the crown always come out messy. Thank you and your hair looks so healthy
Seriously, I struggle with wrapping. Crossing over hair was a light bulb moment. Why haven't I been doing that! Lol I just wrapped my hair with no issue and removed clips at end. Thanks for this. So glad I watched your video tonight. Lol Now to not be a rough sleeper. Thanks again. Can't wait to watch more videos. Finally mastered a wrap.
I have curly hair and I do this before I go to sleep with damp hair, and it works sooo good thank you for this video! It saves me so much heat and stress
fantastic! I have really thin hair (my complexion is kind of palish mediterranean, I'm Italian) and especially now that I cut them to a medium lenght they tend to get curly at the ends at night and I don't like it at all! But now I know how to do. Thanks
I never understood how to keep my hair straight when sleeping! I have an undercut so I find the others of wrapping hair (all in one direction) tricky. This is perfect and i can keep my middle part! Thank you!
This method makes sense to me and easier. I can’t stand the other way cause no matter what it keep falling down and drives me crazy. You have a new subbie ❤️
I needed this video.. Wrapping my hair made my scalp really sore when taking it out n i hated the way it looked afterwards.. All i need is some clips! By the way your hair looks really healthy! loving your videos/vlogs from The Bahamas ♥
You and your hair looks gorgeous!!I'll definitely try this method when I grow out my haircut! I always hated the traditional method because I never got it right! And brushing your hair to one side every night can cause thinning on one side.
I've done this method and every morning my ends are krimmped... And it never stays flat but I hate the original beehive wrap bc it makes my edges sit up on one side but the other is layed and Slayed. It's like I went against the grain on one side.
This video helped me so much . I'm 12 and I just got my hair permed and I never wrapped my own hair before.this may have taken a little longer but it was worth it thank you so so much! I wrapped my own hair for the first time tonight thanks to you.
So glad you made this! Definitely gonna start trying this technique, seems a lot safer & not as harsh on the head as the usual wrap one way technique. Thank you hair guru lol
Awesome! I'm definitely going to try the cross wrap, because I've never been able to get the regular hair wrap down. Thanks for sharing!! New subscriber.
I’m gonna try this tonight cause my scalp has been so sore on one side since I’ve been wrapping it this past week. My hair looks so great but I can’t do the soreness. Hopefully I get the same sleek results with this method
Nice and simple! I love it! The next time I wear my hair straight I am going to try crossing it in the back like that and using larger clips (bobby pins are a paaaain)
Thank you so much for posting this video. I’m now going to start wrapping my hair like this. I don’t know what I was doing wrong with the old wrapping method, but the middle of my hair started breaking off, and my hair has also become very thin. Although my hair has grown, the middle of my hair has broken off and my once same length hair, is now uneven, due to the breakage in the middle of my hair. Thank you once again for this video. 🙌🏾🙌🏾💝💖💝
I used to wrap my hair like this and it was long and healthy... then started to wrap my hair around and now my hair is breaking at the edges and shoulder length. going back to cross wrapping!
I use dry wrap method, wrapping hair around the crown of the head. I've found I don't like my hair in the groove behind the ear all night. Causes a bend in the style at that point when I comb in the morning. Seems your method would be preferred if you want more volume the next day. I don't start getting volume until the 3-4 day after a fresh press. I'm not relaxed.
Nice hair and information ... I have natural hair and use a satin scarf when sleeping. Great video about protecting our hair charissechristine23! Hugs, Ms. M
This might work for me...my hair is very fine but dense, and easily damaged. I've been trying to find ways to wrap my hair at night, because I think that's where I get most of my damage, but every other wrapping technique requires you to wrap your hair all the way around one side of the head, and my fine hair would never stay put, even in a scarf.
I'll try this method next time I get a wrap too! Instead of wrapping it because one side does look flatter than the other. What made you choose this method? If you don't mind me asking :)
This makes so much more sense than the old wrapping technique where one side always ended up funny looking and feel thin. Please carry us along to your next relaxer appointment so that we can see the process :D
susanna john Yees!
Yes I'd love that! Please do Charisse!
This has been the easiest wrap method I've seen! Thanks for sharing!!
sub for sub?
Agreed!!!!! I will try it on my wavy hair!!! 😂

I love this method because it’s less manipulation than the traditional way which requires constant brushing. Thanks for sharing!
I use the exact same method. Works great every time
JourneyTo WaistLength its quick I love it!!

+Kandi Yams see.. I thought about that too but your hair is still undamaged then it's all good
Do you do this with your curly hair?
I put my straight hair in a high ponytail on top of my head, then i roll the ends with a flexi rod. in the morning when i take the flexi rod out and comb my hair down my hair and it comes out soo voluminous
Just one flexi rod or several? Thanks
just one. it also works best when you have fresh flat ironed hair :)
Cool will try it. Thanks for replying
rich jean DEF trying this!

Me too! I've been wrapping my hair in the same direction for years & now one side of my hair is thinner than the other side. I'll try this method.
That was my issue too! Hated the tenderness!
I experience that too , I wonder why it's so tender after
Do you have clip? I have not imaged the way you do yet, thank youuuuu
thank you so much for this, usually it takes all of my family to help me wrap my hair but this was quick and easy just for me
Awesome, this was super, super simple.

I absolutely love your technique! It's simple, quick, and still gives the look needed to wear it down the next day. Thanks for sharing your technique!
Hi. This is the easiest and quickest wrap method I've seen so far. Love it. Thanks for posting.
Just want to thank you for making this!! My hair is natural and when I straighten it and wrap it in the circle it comes out bent up and creased and weird lol. Can't wait to try tonight!

thank you so much I tried so many other wrap styles without success this is the ONLY one that worked
You've actually taught me a new method. I can never do it in the traditional way because my hair in the crown always come out messy. Thank you and your hair looks so healthy
This is way better for our edges❤
your hair has grown so much charisse i love it! middle part really suits you too
This is the first hair wrap I’ve actually been able to recreate. Can’t wait to see the results! Thanks for sharing ;-)
I'm not even relaxed and I watched, simply because I love watching your vids! Lol

Haven't thought of this method. I just posted my straight hair routine and I may try this out !
im definitely gonna try this method to prevent one side looking totally different than the other if you wrapped it all one way
thank you thank you thank you! so much easier than the traditional way and way less tension on your hair!
باتشا المغربية أو العملية 😂 فينكم ا لمغربيات😍😍

Thank you! After watching multiple videos on RUclips your version was the easiest for me.
Simple and straight to the point! Love it. Thanks for posting

Thank you. I have been trying to wrap my hair and my hair would keep falling but this method I did soo easy ❤️😭😭

CandaceVon TheMua. Did you ever find a solution to prevent krimmped ends?
Ashley Ann thank you, I will try that!

OMG this is so smart y have I never thought to use hair clips to hold my hair in place. Wow this video just saved me litteraly 10 min at night now.
hi could you post a link for the hair clips please
You are the best because I was trying to fix my hair but I couldn't so I just had to search up something and you helped me a lot thank you
i really like this method! i have to try it!
This is perfect. I could never do it the old way. Thanks
Loving this method never tried it before
Even though those things don’t seem tight, they construct blood flow to the head and cause headaches. Especially the stretchy ones

Interesting technique!..I've never seen it done that way before :)
TwoLaLa it s a morrocan technique
Soo much easier and less painful! Thank you! And end to my always raggedy hair!!
O jeito mais fácil que aprendi até hj! Thank you
Really helpful and straight to the point. Thanks.
This looks so simple! Thank you dear! 😍
Your skin is looking so good
I love this video..very simple especially for me I have slipped discs in my back and couldn't do it the other way
It's literally nighttime and i got that fresh new perm and i needed to learn the wrap so i wouldn't do the same mistake
Thank you so much I am definitely going to try. I was always finding ways to keep my hair neat n finally I HV found out.
I use dry wrap method, wrapping hair around the crown of the head. I've found I don't like my hair in the groove behind the ear all night. Thank you!! This method helped me SO much!! Very simple & convenient❤😀
Nice hair and information ... I have natural hair and use a satin scarf when sleeping. Great video about protecting our hair charissechristine23! Hugs, Ms. M
This was a great video! I'm going to try this method under my hard hat!! Thank you!
Your hair is everything! 😻😻😻
You're really good at explaining. Great vid!
I love the intro😂 and the easy technique too☺️
Your hair is super pretty!
Do you moisturize and seal every day?
I'm so glad I found your channel. This is great. Thank you for sharing!
Love this!! I've never tried it that way!
Omg your hair grew so much! What are you doing to it?!
31 years well 19 years of combining my owm hair i never got this down thank you
Thank you I used this for my daughters straight hair!
Can you please post a updated makeup for glasses video? Pretty please? I love your videos a lot.
I am Hispanic but I straighten my hair & I am going to start wrapping my hair each night
does anyone else get a wierd dent in their hair when they do this?
Take the clips out?
The only way I can actually wrap my hair.. thank you!!!!
I've never seen this methood before it looks soooooo much easier then the way I was taught
This was incredulously helpful! My Betty Spaghetti strands appreciate you!!!
Makes so much sense. Great method
Simple yet so helpful thanks!
my mom used to do it to me wheni was chilld 😊 and i still do it even when my hair is wet
I got this same scarf from sally's and i love it
I wore this style of scarf last night, but it had come off by the time of my awakening.
You saved my life sis! Thank you soooooooo very much
It works doing it for years ❤️
I think this method will work better than the other way because my hair always puckles. thanks.
hi charisse!i find your technique really easy, thanks! by the way where do you buy your head scarf? :)
That hat though charisse, wear from ? Cool wrapping technique .. I've never seen it done this way .
I'm glad I found you. I've subscribed because I've loved what I have seen so far. Smile!
