I chose "she's in great shape", "no deal", "looks comfortable" and I still got Cloud's 3rd outfit (did all side missions). I think it depend on if you agreed with Johnny or not in the beginning.

Basically you ignore Sam and johnny. If you even try the coin toss or meet johnny Madam M will not give you the side quest. you still do need the 3000 gil massage though. At least thats what my buddy did to get the third dress. I did Sams missions and got the second dress.

I got Tifa’s exotic dress (it’s actually my favorite one) Aerith’s Red dress and Cloud’s blue corset. I didn’t realize there were more sidequests and such, but I liked his look overall.

@Jelly Bean What happens if you mix up the choices? Say for example, I still talk to Johnny and call the coin flip for Sam, but I also do the luxury course for the massage.

The choices other than the hand massage don’t matter much, I got Cloud’s 3rd dress by doing all of the side missions and getting the most expensive hand massage. 🤷🏻♀️

same here, i didn't choose heads or tails i said "no deal", and said the person i was looking for "is a great fighter" just like you i went with the expensive massage.
I got Tifa’s mature dress, Aerith’s middle dress ( I gave up on the jankier side quests) and lastly Cloud’s amazing purple Princess Peach dress 😂 the girls looked lovely but Cloud in that dress made me giggle in ways I didn’t know was humanly possible
You don’t need to answer the question about Tifa with the response “She’s good at the books” or pick heads. I did the opposite and still got the 3rd Cloud dress
yeah, I picked "she's a great fighter" and no to the coin toss, and I got the 3rd one, perhaps it only depends on what massage you get, I picked the 3000 gil on first playthrough and got the 3rd, and 1000 on 2nd play through getting me a different one... just a hunch but if I pick the poor mans choice 100g and get the third that should prove my theory

Cloud’s dresses actually depends on the side quests and johnny’s incident in chapter 9
I picked the 2nd option for Tifa and no to the flip and got 3rd dress.
Tifa: My fave dress is the exotic one but I would probably pick the mature one because it's closer to the original dress.
Aerith: Similar to TIfa, my fave is the long pink dress and I actually even prefer the first, cute dress to the red one, but I would still do the red one for the sake of it being similar to the original game.
Cloud: My fave is the second dress, it's very gothic and I love that and honestly it's a mix between that and the third that I think looks more like the original. I GUESS the last one but it's a bit too light of a purple whereas the second is a darker one? I dunno. xD
Tifa's Sporty Dress is the BEST, she is so GORGEOUS

I was sooo close. I chose one incorrect thing with Sam (but got everything else right) so I didn't get the best Cloud dress

I got the exotic dress for Tifa. the fancy red dress for Aerith and the blue dress for Cloud first time around. and yes I agree that we need more outfits. so many games have forgotten about alternate costumes. hardly any games do them anymore.

Errata:
Massage and Cloud's answer to aerith's dress will not affect the dress. Massage is just for comic proposes and the answer will affect who you will meet in Aerith's Garden (Aerith, Barret or Tifa)

I'm not sure how much the choices on Cloud's dresses really matter. I'm seeing a lot of different results in the comments. But what I did: Tifa is a great fighter; No Deal for the coin flip, 'It matter what I think?' on Aerith's outfit, and the Standard massage. This got me Cloud's best dress. I think it's just more important that you have to do all the quests.
I unlocked the “hardest” one to get for Cloud without knowing anything about it.. i failed the Coin with sam i picked tails, but I did talked to Johnny including discovery quest and did all the quests and got mostly greats in Honeybee
I also got the 3k massage
I'm not sure the coin toss with Sam matters to the outcome, regardless of what you pick, you always lose. Choosing heads or tails will result in Sam winning with his trick coin showing the opposite choice of yours. The third option will let Cloud skip and Aerith will pick something, but you still lose anyway.
I got the best Cloud dress but
- I picked tails,
- got the middle massage (didn't have enough money at the time)
- said Tifa was a good fighter,
- got mediocre reaction to the dance
so maybe just completing all missions matter?

-did the normal massage
-got a pretty good reaction to the dance
I did all these things and still got the best Cloud dress. So it's more likely gauged on completed quests
I appreciate the video. Never would have found clouds outfits without it. First time I went through I got the normal purple dress, Areths red dress and the leopard print dress for Tifa

I’m pretty sure cloud’s dress relies really hard on the spa session, seeing as it had no other use in the game, and there are only three options. I picked most expensive and got the luxurious one w/ purple.

First time around I got mature Tifa, red Aerith and “Princess” Cloud. Had no idea there were choices until I saw the trophies afterwards. Got Princess Cloud by answering Tifa is a good fighter, choosing Tails on the coin toss and the luxurious hand massage then completing Madame M’s missions which were assigned. Also found all Johnny discoveries that were available in this route. Can’t remember what answer I gave to Aerith’s question though.
I still got Cloud's third (supposedly best) dress based on these decisions:
-On Sam's coin flip, I chose to not take the bet
-I Paid for the luxury hand massage
-When Aerith asked about her dressed, I answered, "It matters what I think?"
-I completed all the side missions, including the one with the bandits

Glad I watched this video. There is no way I would have found them without knowing what to do. Maybe only Tifa’s, because on subsequent playthroughs I would have picked different dialogue options anyway to see if they changed anything, but definitely not the thing with Aerith. I’m a completionist. I can’t leave a side-quest undone. I want to be one of those players who finds everything without looking at guides, but considering how big games are these days, and how specific and unhinted at some quests or trophies are to unlock, I don’t see how you can get all trophies without looking at guides. Anyway, now I know that I have 2 more playthroughs to go through before finishing the game, not just one, which is fine by me. This game is an instant classic.
I got the blue dresses for Cloud and Tifa first. I got the really pretty red one for Aerith first too, but I really like all of hers and Tifa's. I retried the chapter today and got the other quest, but since Aerith was in the same thing I abandoned it. I'll keep these steps in mind 😋

I got clouds best dress in my first play through. But we did very different things. I did all of johnnys events, told Sam tifa is in great shape, and told Aerith “it matter what I think?” While buying the luxury course.
I wanted to make sure Cloud wore something to match Tifa’s outfit like he said he would when they set up their celebration/night on the town during the “Alone At Last” mission. So I got Tifa’s mature dress and Cloud’s purple bodice dress so they’d match. Cloud’s dress choices and Tifa’s dress choices are coordinated in their design to refer back to that mission/scene. Just gotta get the right one.
@5:55 I didn't do any of that except for talking to Johnny at the arena & the Luxury massage and I still got the price of thievery quest.
At the end I got: Mature dress Tifa, Red dress Aerith, and Third dress Cloud.
I did the same and got these results
for that cloud side quest I picked: when first meeting sam I picked "she's a good fighter"when he ask who im looking for, no deal (when sam flipped the coin cause your gonna lose anyway cause it's same side), 3000 message(I think this one is important because M shows interest in cloud's reaction) and "looks comfortable". looking at it it look's like not playing into sam's games and getting into M's good side will affect the side Quest because with those choices I got All of the side quest.

This one trophy of unlocking all dresses is really close to stopping me from going for the platinum trophy
Holy god, talk about lucky! Cloud's third dress was my FIRST one! No guides or anything, I just so happen to play the game in exactly the right way
My first playthrough had sporty for Tifa, the red dress for Aerith and being somewhat of a completionist, and randomly going with Madame M, I stumbled on the special third dress for Cloud.
On the first play through of this on the PS4 and PS5 versions of FFVII Remake, I got the mature dress for Tifa, the red dress for Aerith, and the middle dress for Cloud!😊
I did the Johnny sub events and still received the Madam M sidequests. I don't think ignoring them is necessary to activate those quests. Moreover, I chose the standard massage as well (though I did save beforehand to see all three massage cut scenes). Also, watching that clip of the bandit clearing side quest makes me think I was underleveled for this section as I had a lot less HP and was doing quite a lot less damage on them bandits.
For my first (and thus far only) run, I got the Sporty Dress for Tifa, the Trailer Dress for Aerith and the third fanciest dress for Cloud. Also, that entire Honeybee Inn sequence was delightful. Just wish the dance minigame wasn't involved. Also, doing well with the minigame rewards you with a trophy.
As with many others here I chose different options and still got Cloud's third dress.
"In good shape", Heads, "How much?", 3000 gil, paid attention to Johnny.
My (untested) suspicion would be that it's related to doing the sidequest related to the guardian angel of the slums, since Price of Thievery is obviously connected to that one.

And the plain, black dress is my favourite for Cloud

Thanks bro! i heard from the internet the names of the dresses and it was all backwards i wanted the blue dress for tifa too but picked sporty was still great n got aerith the red one and was gonna get cloud the purple becuz how crazy his hair looked but got the 2nd one cuz i didnt know about this alt quest def gonna do it all on my second playthru on hard mode!

to be honest, I got my favorite outfits on my first try: Tifa sporty, Aerith the last one and Cloud also the last one.

I'm not actually sure you need to jump through all these hoops for Cloud's white dress, I got it on my first playthrough and all I did was complete all the sidequests and get the luxury massage. Definitely made some different conversation choices from the ones in this video (the ones I made were "tails" and "it matter what I think?"), at least.
What I did was
1. Picked Tails
2.1000 Gil hand massage
3. Did all side mission's
Result: I got the white dress with cloud having a tiara. My first playthrough

I felt old, but If you are like me, the mature dress option and the two hardest dresses to get for Aerith and Cloud are basically Reimaginings of the old outfits

first playthrough, got the third "harder to get" dress for cloud. Had no idea it was the rare dress for him. I didn't even pick any of the dialogue options you mentioned in the vid, but somehow still got the sidequests given to me from madam m, which was confusing cause a walkthrough said i would get them from sam but he gave me nothing haha.

My first play through I got tifa exotic. Aerith the really nice red dress with fireworks and for cloud the pink dress with crown.
I think to get the hidden missions in Chapter 9 for the third Cloud dress you only need to pick the most expensive hand massage option. Her dialogue after mentions he now has his hands all ready for fighting which unlocks a new arena fight and a quest against the collapsed expressway goons.
My first playthrough on the PS4, I got Tifa blue dress, Aerith red dress and Cloud blue and black dress. Upon replaying it on the PS5 I got Cloud in the Silver dress - I had no idea about the other alternatives for Tifa and Aerith haha

I just finished my first playthrough this past Monday, and I realize now that I indirectly got the most convoluted and complex dress for Cloud lmao. I didn't know there was a difference until now, but I'm glad I don't have to follow all of those complex steps for his part of the trophy LMAO

Just finished the game today and found out about the dress choices. Got the third dresses for Aerith and Cloud and stuck with the mature dress on Tifa and tbh, it looks the best on her. The other dresses look meh so I'm glad I got the nicer ones.
You don’t have to pick the luxury massage to get the hidden missions. I picked the 1000 Gil, said comfortable, and said tifa was in shape and still got them
My favorite dress for cloud is the blue and black and for tifa it’s a tie between the exotic fit and the sporty, and for aerith I love the red one

I got the 3rd dress when I put tifa was a fighter, so I don't think that matters too much. Definitely doing all the side quests and through Madam M.
So will need to wait for pc version moods to actualy fight in those dresses :D

I got Sporty first time for Tifa, I really like her Exotic though. As I wanted to complete all sidequests, I got Aerith's red dress, though I kinda like the second one more, I think it suits her better. As for Cloud, I only got the main side quests for chapter 9 (the ones that allude to the original on how you got Cloud's dress) and missed out on the two extra ones for Madame M, so I got the blackish-blue dress for Cloud, which I like the best anyways.
The Sam interaction for cloud's dress - I didn't pick good with the books (I think I picked the fighter option) and I picked "it doesn't matter" for the coin flip. I still got the 3rd dress.

I didn't complete all the quests to get the question from Tifa so I wondered which dress I would get & I got the mature dress. As for Aerith/Aeris I got the red one for completing all the quests, & for Cloud I got the blue dress so now I know what to do in order to get the other choices for Tifa & Cloud thanks to this video when I beat the game & unlock chapter select.
I got that third dress for cloud first try by accident. I did everything this video says but I told Sam Tifa was in great shape. That’s not a requirement.

Thanks for this on my first play I actually got the exotic I did the special mission so I guess that’s why I got the crown dress for Cloud and I completed all side missions so the red dress I wish I saw Tifa in the blue dress tho ☺️
I got the red dress for Aerith, spotry dress for Tifa and the blue dress for Cloud, and I'm happy about all of them. Too bad that to unlock all the quests you need to spend a lot of money though, I don't like that since I'm always broke ahah
I got Exotic dress for Tifa, red dress for Aerith, and second dress (for doing all the non-secret missions) for Cloud.
I chose tails with Sam, got all the secret quests and did all of Johnny's interactions, still ended up with dress 3 so I don't know if selection matters other than completing the side quests Nd telling Aerith she looks comfy for that set.
I got Clouds third dress the first time I played without a walkthrough. I didn't know there were so many specific steps to get it. I must have just got lucky.

First time around I had Tifa in sporty, the red dress for Aerith, and Cloud in the blue and black dress.

For the cloud dress I'm pretty sure you just have to pay for the 3000 massage which I think gains you access to the collesseum fight since I did everything else different that requires choice excluding side quest completion
