- 🇬🇧 At March 17th, 2024 I was visiting once again the Retro Season Start at the furniture store Hofmeister in Bietigheim It's one of the biggest classic car meetings in the region. So have much fun to watch some great classic cars.

🇩🇪 Am 17. März 2024 fand wieder der Retro Saisonauftakt beim Möbelhaus Hofmeister in Bietigheim statt. Es ist eines der größten Oldtimertreffen der Region. Also freut euch auf eine Menge klassischer Fahrzeuge. Ich stehe mit dem Veranstalter in keiner Verbindung - ich erstelle diese Videos alle als rein privates Hobby.

Thanks a lot Brian! The red Opel at 10:06 is an Opel Ascona Cabriolet. These are very rare because Opel actually didn't build them. There were a few companies doing this conversion. The Opel Ascona C or Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2 was pretty popular as saloon and hatchback. But nowadays like a lot of the other bread & butter vehicles (like also my Audi 80) the most people have forgotten about it but when they're seeing one they will get in talk with you because suddenly they do remember. The Right Hand Drive by Vauxhall and Holden was also built as an estate - in Germany we didn't have the estate. In Australia it's the Holden Camira JB - but Holden did quite a lot in optical changes especially on the facelifts.
The Camira had a bad name in Austrailia think it had a crappy engine...and front wheel drive.....
@@briansdiecastthailandstoth6747 That's also one reason why the Ascona C doesn't have the big popularity as a classic - you can get them still pretty cheap. But also the same complaint about the engines and especially the front wheel drive. If I'm remembering right it was the first Opel with front wheel drive.

Hallo Ralf, ich danke dir fürs Zuschauen und Kommentieren. Hast du einen Favorit bei den Autos? Oder vermutlich wie so oft - und es früher auch Dimi des Öfteren geschrieben hatte ... wo soll man anfangen, es ist fast schon einfacher zu sagen was einem weniger gefällt, wobei auch die einem gefallen. Seine Kommentare vermisse ich schon. Vor allem wenn ein grünes Auto dabei war 🤣

@@SevenWelt Vielen Dank, werde ich haben. Habe ein verlängertes Wochenende ... werde am Donnerstag erstmal mein neues Alltagsauto zulassen. Mal sehen ob ich morgen noch ein Video zu meinem aktuellen Daily mache, bevor ich den weg gebe. Und was steht bei dir an, wieder eine Ausfahrt mit dem Landy?

5:58 den Fiat fand ich schon immer klasse!
Der Fiat X1/9 hat mir auch schon immer gefallen - finde ich auch heute noch toll. Wenn man bedenkt wie rostanfällig die sind, ist es schon wirklich toll zu sehen wie viele Leute diesen Mittelmotor-Roadster dennoch die Liebe zur Restaurierung geschworen haben. Die sieht man ja doch noch auf jedem gut sortiertem Oldtimertreffen, wenngleich hauptsächlich die später gebauten Modelle mit dem Bertone-Badge. In meiner Kindheit kann ich mich auch erinnern, dass ich die da im Ort mehrmals gesehen habe.

The funny thing is that later I've even seen a 4 door saloon of this generation of the Ford Torino - also never seen before. I was always thinking they were only coupes. But it seems like I've been this wrong! Ford produced also a pickup called Ranchero with this front that I've seen once before. But the convertible and the sedan were really something new to me. Totally loving the style of them ... an old subscriber of my old vlogging channel BattlefieldDoktor that I started in 2006 also owns a green Torino coupe from this time. Amazing green beast. He owns it for decades and on facebook I read that he just got it finally fixed after a few years so in this year he finally can bring it again on the road after 2-3 years of a break. These Torinos sound really amazing!
