My man literally transformed a ROCK and a feather into indicative MICE for his analysis which let me be honest was extremely detailed and straight to tbe point. This content is literally a goldmine
My conclusion: less weight is always better, unless it comes at the cost of more relevant aspects (like buttons or shape) similar to high refresh rate screens: more hz is better, but spending $1000 on a 540hz screen is pointless, if it means you won't be able to afford a decent GPU
Weight, shape and grip - these 3 are interconnected when using a mouse at peak efficiency. I do agree that there are diminishing returns as the weight goes down with respect to shape and grip style. I started multiplayer FPS with G502 - OG Razer Viper - Superlight - Razer Viper 2 - Pulsar Xlite V2 mini - Beast X mini - HTX mini. My grip style over 10 years changed from palm to finger tip and then finally I settled on claw grip . I also use the Struth gaming Claw mates and I feel they are a game changer when using these small lightweight mice as they provide the stability and the agility to a mouse. I feel with claw grip there is good stability with great agility at around 30-40 grams and if you wanna go lower in weight then fingertip grip is the best. But I feel claw grip with clawmates has really boosted my aim, I have increased my DPI to 1600 and I track my progress on on Aiming.pro and I am ranked Godlike 1 in tracking games.
yeah unless you're used to heaver mice because then you probably already know how to cancel out the inertia and on lighter mice it may take some time to get used to it
love the explanation, I just realize and learn about fluidity that mention in the video. This really open my perspective about aiming so much! I didn't realize fluidity also affecting the my aim corresponding to the weight of my mouse and also the inertia. I forgot about the inertia!😅 I am now understand more about how weight of the mouse and tension management do related to one another! I been wrong about that LOL. Thank you so much for answering my question! I really like the video!
I have to point out something important Stability is by all means unrelated to weight but volume and area surfaces for the hand and wrist resting point, be it flat out, tilted, gilded onto the mouse or using the pea bone as a rest all effects stabillity, its just a corelation that we dont have materials light and strong enough for our hands that can have a large area to spread out and be light weight aswell, maintaining stabillity if one were able to make a mouse with fortified Aerogel then probs we get there
Yea I used to be a deagler and awper so flicking was my thing, being on heavy mice messed up many shots for me and also put a lot of stress on my wrist and neck. (Cause of tension)
@@ItsMeChillTyme i am playing with an old wrist injury, limited mobility and im prone to tendonitis. i used to have major issues and pain after long gaming sessions (apex with ~60-70g mice). now with sub 30g mouse and low friction pad i have almost no issues anymore, since it allows me to play with less tension at the same or even higher speeds and precision.
@@ItsMeChillTyme btw have you had a look into voltaic aim theory/technique? theres different ways to stop a flick - you can tense up OR RELEASE tension to come to a dead stop. latter one being much more healthy - and maybe overall more precise? future will tell - gaming is a young sport :)
good video - my conclusion is different tho: lighter mice are actually better, yes. i am playing a 26g gwolves husky fingertip mouse - and in the beginning i hated the shape and got actually painful cramps in my hand playing it. i spent a lot of time getting used to it tho, changing my grip, and now i would never use anything else than a fingertip mouse. point is: certain shapes feeling more comfortable than others has to do a lot with habits and what were used to, but we can change that. cant change basic physics tho and a higher mass will make you less accurate in dynamic situations.
I believe it's an placebo effect as long as the mouse isn't straight up damn heavy, currently using the first wireless mouse i've owned and also the heaviest mouse i've ever owned (74g) and my FPS performance is no different. Or could be a fact if your bicep is as thin as your wrist lol.
nice vid, ty for including me ^^

Very well structured video as always keep it up! Love to see you collaborating/taking opinions from my favourite top aimers aswell

Wow i didn't know that having a lighter mouse would affect my gameplay this much!

i think so? i tried testing a v3 pro but i was constantly grabbing my ulx cheetah again cause it just feels so.. off

came from g502 long ago to an hsk pro 4k now for over a year. Light is the wave, heavy = slow, gotta go fast
same bro. you know it!

How the hell you only have 1k subs man. You just gained one more. Remember me when ur at 500k subs😂
is the cure to male loneliness a lighter mouse?
No, the answer is to become a single father.
it might not be the cure, but it’s one less thing weighing you down
Heavy mice can be really good for games like titanfall which are very smooth.
love cats, love computer mouses, great video!
yes

If I buy a lighter mouse, will I go radiant in fortnite?
one can dream...
