- Tani Adewumi has been a rising chess talent, a talented prodigy. When he was 8 years old he challenged professional chess player and streamer Hikaru. The result was shocking.

No shame in losing, especially against Hikaru. Dude is an actual behemoth in Chess.
Behemoth? That's one of the weirdest compliments I've ever heard lmfao
@@averagelizard2489 Because you're goofy.
@@Concise_Parakeet Ok behemoth xDD
Hikaru would have wringed that kid's neck if he lost the game 😂

Have time for Christ?
Ephesians 6:10-18 says,
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.

He is playing respectfully! It's best to enjoy the additional time. Not resigning is also one of the ways to gain great experience. Shame on you.
He defeated Hikaru twice?? As a twelve-year-old?? Legendary!!!
You are right. It is a phenomenal accomplishment, considering Hikaru's Universe-class skill and that he has over 20 years more experience than Tani. Imagine Tani 20 years from now...

I actually have a book about Tani. He is really good at chess for his age.
If anyone wants to know what the book is called, it's "My Name Is Tani, And I Believe In Miracles". His story is really captivating and inspirational.
As a very casual chess player i gotta say the narration was really good and really helpfull, great work!

I'd start bawling the second I saw Hikaru across the board from me
The song at 1:25 is called Antidote X by Van Sandano.
Cool😮
Tani just immediately went down after he blundered that rook on c1 then the bishop took it with material lost, safe to say though this is an interesting match with Tani going against Hikaru.
He's 8 for crying out loud. How many things did you "blunder" at 18 with the good fortune no one cared you existed?

if tani moved his bishop after hikaru moved his queen pawn it would be checkmate.
Tani's going to be a beast by the time he turns 16.
Actually the commentator understates it Tani is actually up a full PIECE and completely winning at 02:35 if he had played g3. Since Qxh6 nf6+! Kh8 QXQ BXQ Nxd7 the knight is not trapped white's up a piece. And if instead g3, Bxh6 Qxd6! White will in a piece in this line too...Qd8 Qxd7 and nf6+ winning the piece.
