i really love this game, there is a good monster that is very scary, have a good riding train mechanic, the story seems pretty good and npc side quests are also good, and when ryan plays it, its automatically 10x better
I love how sometimes Ryan just stumbles onto things he wasn't supposed to do yet, but sometimes he just full on misses them. Love you vids Ryan, and honestly love how this game turned out (especially after its teaser in 'No snake hotel')
There is a theory i have for Charles, (knowing he's basically a walking Death Engine) it's about what he is. I was thinking that maybe Charles was this sort of entity of something, and the name Charles actually comes from Warren's trains! If you checked the menu, you see the progress of your train but also see his company logo on the side of it. Hence where Charles got his name. i think the entity took control of one of Warrens broken or unbroken trains and used it as like a vessel or form.
Or, its an old demonic spider that lived for centuries on the island (hence the old slab with the rock pictures you see opening that chest at the scrap yard) that was found in one of the mines and used one of the trains as a shell for protection from bullets and fire
I find it funny that all the characters seem so calm, but then again, in the lore of this world monsters seem to be a normal appearance considering the guy you play as has a successful monster musium that is taken seriously.
i reckon another survival element that could be implemented would be like a coal dump that the player would need to dock at in order to refuel, plus it would add another element of "oshiz i gotta get out of my train for an extended period of time" to the game
Ryan is the first RUclipsr I’ve seen that realized that you can light the ground on fire with Bug SprayTM and still doesn’t use that knowledge to fight Charles
If I ever get Choo Choo Charles, I’m gonna upgrade my train and do all the quests, then just ride my train around the island before finishing the game. I just like the environments so much and want to just go on the train and simply exist. And maybe fights Charles along the way.
Cory has a fantastic strategy for fighting Charles. He fires the flamethrower till overheat then switches and uses the machinegun till overheat then switches back and repeats until Charles is scared and runs away. It was really effective.
