Before this episode, my husband only knew robin williams as the genie. He honest-to-God thought I was messing with him. When I described this episode and robin's role in it
The SVU episodes that are mostly on repeat on my radar are the episodes that loss me off due to the squad’s incompetence. Episodes, “contagious” “Justice denied” “Dissonant voices” “Unstable” Those episodes are exactly the reasons why I prefer to keep an open mind about everything. Unfortunately wanting to keep an open mind makes you an abuse enabler, a rapist, and a pedophile.
911 is my favorite episode. I was so happy to see that Maria grew up to become a police officer. I wasn’t expecting it, but damn am I glad they gave Maria a good future. She deserves it.
The one that got me was Pornstar's Requiem. The victim gets blamed for everything, the perps are let go despite a guilty verdict, and in the end they have to let her go because she's an adult and it's her decision to run away and get into worse conditions because she has nothing left.
My favorites in no particular order: Mean Sick Russian Love Poem Inheritance Intoxicated Serendipity Loss Identity Screwed Alternate Paternity Bully Authority Scavenger Soulless Bound Brotherhood Abomination Shaken Families
Was a tiny bit surprised to not see "Surrender Benson" on this list but honestly, I can't really proclaim that episode to be one of the "best" given how hard it is to watch. Also wish we had seen some more recent episodes. But a show this long, I'm amazed this video ever aired because how could you find just 20?
Limitations is one of my favorite episodes, it deals with the statue of limitations and also has that adrenaline rush of wanting to see if the team is able to solve the cases before time runs out.
My personal favourites are a couple listed here and a couple that aren’t. Scavenger (Doug Hutchinson is such an underrated actor!), Venom (Ludacris, as always, does an amazing job), Pure (Martin Short is freaking terrifying in this 6th season episode) and my favourite episode is the season 4 episode Dominance. It’s an unforgettable and disturbing storyline and the cast lives up to the written material in every way. Disturbing and heartbreaking all in one package, it makes for one hell of an episode of television!
The episode titled Selish stars Hillary Duff as a teen mom whose baby girl dies from Measles. But for some of the episode, we are made to think it was from abuse. The episode was contemporary and Duffs's acting is nothing like I've seen in anything else she's done.
There are some great episodes on this list, but I have to agree that 9-1-1 is the best episode. It’s really intense, well written, and well acted. I believe it’s also one of the first if not the first SVU episode I’ve ever watched. Although, I think they should’ve mentioned that seasons later, we find out that Maria became a cop after Benson saved her. I think another great episode, which I believe is the first episode of one of the seasons and is when Stabler’s daughter sees a burning body, is the one where a guy (high school or college student) that is a SA victim kills his perpetrator at the beginning, confesses to it, gets arrested, and we find out that the slimy scumbag that works for the government is another perpetrator and faces justice at the end. I don’t remember the whole episode, but I hope the student was found innocent.
None of the episodes I liked the best appeared on this list. I have three and as I have no idea of the episode names I will describe them. 1) A father has two families and the son of the secret family is dating the daughter of the official family. The girl becomes pregnant and when her father finds out they get into a fight and he loses his temper and kills her. The father is later murdered by one of his "wives". 2) The detectives learn that a young sociopath has been mistreating his sister (she calls him "The Monster") He drowns their neighbor's dog in the bath and takes a gun, holding children in a play area hostage before shooting Amara. 3) Dana, the FBI agent, is "helping" them investigate a serial killer, focusing on one particular crime which the killer denies. It turns out that Dana killed that woman because she was the one Dana's boyfriend dumped Dana for. He had made Dana have an abortion just a couple of months before announcing that his new girlfriend was pregnant and they were getting married. While I love this episode I was pretty sure it broke continuity because I thought in her first episode Dana mentions going home to her husband and children.
I watched SVU for several years (starting the 2nd or 3rd season). Haven't watched it recently because I just lost interest. But one of the episodes I remember the most was Undercover. I remember that what happened to Olivia in that episode affected her for YEARS afterwards
Unfortunately that is a rough debate especially when some of the cases on the show involve kids committing crimes. By law children aren’t allowed to diagnosed as either a sociopath or psychopath; that is dictated in the DSM also
My Number One Favorites Of All Times It's Between Of Venom Raw Zebras Authority Patiently Brotherhood Also Fat The One With Anthony Anderson He's Name Was Blaine Streetwise Game And Of Course Babes The One With Jesse McCartney Fight The One With Aren Esperanzapeta He's From The Reboot Of The Friday The 13Th Loss Manic Turmoil Wannabe Beef Signature Outsider Right Or Wrong The One Finn Have He's First Appearance With Alex Cabot Sugar Pursuit Sparkle Hell
Number 1 was the right choice. That episode had me barely breathing through the entire episode and hearing that little girl say “Olivia” when she is saved is the first moment in that entire episode that I could breathe. That episode was so intense.
Okay this must be a sign I never saw a law and order and I've been dying to start binging it at night.... And I heard about some episodes which were great now I'm really excited to finally 😊watch it
The episode titled Selish stars Hillary Duff as a teen mom whose baby girl dies from Measles. But for some of the episode, we are made to think it was from abuse. The episode was contemporary and Duffs's acting is nothing like I've seen in anything else she's done.
I don’t remember the episode name but it opened with a black guy attacking and raping a young white girl in her apartment, she files rape charges, the episode goes through the motions and the story gets spun as a white woman falsely accusing a black man of rape. I don’t remember if she got detail mixed up or if she didn’t get his identity 100% right, but in the end the guy was found not guilty. And he looked so smug about it. The girl was attacked but got branded a liar. What’s even worse if I remember right, she appeared again in a later episode and got attacked again by someone else. Poor girl couldn’t catch a break
Surprised the porn star rape wasnt one. Where she was assaulted by a frat house, thst has been featured a few times, and the guys were found guilty bur did not serve due to some weird as reason with the judge
I wouldn’t be surprised if he was. L&O often dramatizes actual cases that happened, but they change certain details in order to avoid legal issues with those impacted by the tragedies
The show also delved HEAVILY into false allegations. Three episodes listed touched on that from various angles, but there are many more that hit real close to several real cases on that ground.
Can you do top ten about playhouse disney and disney junior popular series show call jungle junction because there are almost the same characters just like my little pony friendship is magic from hub tv network next please?!?!
Been watching since the beginning, and I don’t think any episode will ever beat “Fault” for me. An episode not mentioned here that I thought was beautifully acted by Chris Meloni was “Rage.” Should’ve won the Emmy for that one.
911 is too upsetting to watch more than once, even though Mariska won a well deserved Emmy. And why the hell weren’t the William Lewis episodes on this list?!?
I love Law & Order: SVU so much. Like, we go together real bad lol. But the Identity episode was the first time my jaw literally dropped on a storyline. I actually hate to love this show because of the subject matter. But it makes you think beyond what you think you know.
Some amazing episodes but my favorite was with Robin Williams he was incredible acting as the villain truly a master at work miss him 🙏❤️ good job Msmojo 👏👏👏 really enjoyed
While I agree with several on this list, there are some episodes in seasons 13 onward that have definitely left its mark on me. "Legitimate Rape" (S14, E18), "Born Psychopath" (S14, E19, - Another Psychopath Kid), "Girl Dishonored" (S14, E20), "Pornstar's Requiem" (S16, E5), "Downloaded Child" (S15, E19).
The episode Scavenger was obviously based off of BTK's crimes. When Dennis Rader was arrested, NBC aired the episode in Wichita a second time in celebration.
So many good ones (better? ones) not on the list… immediately think of born psychopath and graduate psychopath…. Why nothing later than season 10? While I personally think the best seasons are around 8-12, there are some amazing stories after Stabler left…
How is neither of the episodes with William Lewis on this list?? Olivia still brings that up present day they were some of the best episodes of the whole series
I don’t know about having Zebras on this list. The only thing I really liked about that episode is that they got rid of Stuckey (a show like SVU doesn’t _need_ a comic relief character).

I mean the lethal injection was a bit excessive, but it always irked me how she accused Casey of getting too personal with a case and pushing for her suspension, then going after a genuine victim of abuse because she turned her into a laughing stock among ADAs.

The Robin Williams episode is my favorite! Seeing Robin being a villain gave me chills.
That’s what you call range! When Robin Williams gets you to hate him…
Before this episode, my husband only knew robin williams as the genie. He honest-to-God thought I was messing with him. When I described this episode and robin's role in it
One Hour Photo and Insomnia are great movies showcasing just how well Robin Williams played mentally unhinged.
He would've been an awesome Riddler
he was still sympathetic villain if I ever saw one
The one that always gets me is "Raw"
I remember reading about one episode that saved a girl's life from a kidnapper.
The SVU episodes that are mostly on repeat on my radar are the episodes that loss me off due to the squad’s incompetence.

SVU is about to begin its 26th season, so why are no episodes on this list after season 12?
Anything with Fin⁉️⁉️⁉️
I'm glad "911" got a spot on this list, especially since flashbacks of this episode were featured in the Season 25 episode "Probability of Doom".
It was so inspiring watching that little girl become a police officer because Olivia was the one who rescued her.
And Maria grew up and joined the NYPD
911 is my favorite episode. I was so happy to see that Maria grew up to become a police officer. I wasn’t expecting it, but damn am I glad they gave Maria a good future. She deserves it.
What’s great too is that a later episode (s25 ep 7)has Benson reunites with Maria & finds out Maria is trying to become a cop like Benson
The one that got me was Pornstar's Requiem. The victim gets blamed for everything, the perps are let go despite a guilty verdict, and in the end they have to let her go because she's an adult and it's her decision to run away and get into worse conditions because she has nothing left.
Agreed, that one did a number on me
I can’t watch it anymore because of that
One I still remember is Staebler experiencing solitary confinement in prison to gain empathy for a man who threw him off a roof!
That was an interesting episode, but that climax with Elliot in solitary was pretty haunting
@@LucyLioness100 Making friends with a cockroach for pure entertainment stuck with me.
The john Ritter one where is a shrink. just makes you sad because he didn't want the baby and broke down when Alex asked him if he heard a heart beat
John Ritter was great. May he rest in peace
Am I the only one angry that Stabler never checked up on Benson after her ordeal with William Lewis, yet expected help when Kathy died?
Elliot has never been perfect, but yeah I can agree with your feelings
The robin Williams episode was so intense that I had to rewatch twice when I first saw it !!!
He just owned that episode like the master he was. The world is a sadder place without Robin
Pixes. God if the public only knew about Nasser sooner.

The episode was contemporary and Duffs's acting is nothing like I've seen in anything else she's done.
I was surprised to see her in that one and to see her in such a dark role. Course I knew her as Lizzie McGuire growing up, but Hilary was as great
Robin Williams acting was done masterfully.🙏
Jake O'Hara got what he deserved in the episode Conscience.
Good thing too. His sl*t of a mother would've enabled his behaviour as it got worse.
Season 16's Daydream Believer. The courtroom scene. So disturbing.

And those are both the seasons 11 and 12 finales
no mention of william lewis's reign of terror? Why?
That one was terrifying
Sociopaths are made. Psychopaths are born. Though nowadays I believe the term or terms have changed

@@LucyLioness100 exactly!!! It can be speculated but not confirmed. Until 18 I believe?
Man Undercover messed me up so bad I always skip the part when she was getting assaulted
I cannot believe Robin wasn’t in the top 5 who wrote thing 😭
Nocturne episode is so hard for me to watch but it's very important episode
How do not include the episode shadow on this list?? That is one of the best episodes ever.
I always find myself channelling Olivia when she goes dominatrix on Nigel Prestwick to coerce a testimony out of him 😂
Please include newer episodes!
Wonder if MsMojo has realised that there are more episodes than ones containing Stabler - how is there no mention of the Lewis episodes for example
"Coerced" should have been on this list. Leland Orser's performance was amazing.
When i was locked in psych ward my roommate loved this show. I loved him but haven't been able to ever watch the show again.
6:10 - One Hour Photo is another dark thriller starring Williams from the time period.
Demons is truly scary episode to watch

It wasn't as captivating as the ones in the list, but still a great episode which highlights the effects of rape victim blaming.
Damaged is the episode I remember most. Ari Graynor was brutal in that one. Her final line was just wow!
Downloaded Child is one that is truly disturbing but also has some hope for the victim at the end
How is "Pure" not on here?
Authority episode, is ine I cited in several of Psychology Papers 😊
Is that Doctor from "Identity" based on John William Money? That's some messed up stuff if you look into it.

Happy monday night, Rebecca, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
The first guy even LOOKS like MJ. The second one is a true story. Almost to the letter.
911 is definitely the best and my most favorite SVU episode of all time. Highly agree with number 1.
my favorite episode is the one with Joan Cusack.
Frankly, Demons felt like the writers tried to cram too much into 41 minutes.
#19 is based loosely on a true story. So sad. One twin offed himself and the other OD'd. So sad 😓😓

I am surprised you did not have any of the episodes with William Lewis in them, he was literally the best Villain that has ever been on SVU.
*Identity* is based on a true story. If you haven't seen the documentary about the Reimer twins, it's a must see.
My dad and I love this show.I hate that the show shipped Benson and Stabler. I think they are good work partner.
Anyone else notice that there are no episodes list after Stabler leaves lol.
Might have to watch all of these
West Wing Backgrounds
I don’t know about having Zebras on this list. The only thing I really liked about that episode is that they got rid of Stuckey (a show like SVU doesn’t _need_ a comic relief character).
The banter between Munch and Finn was funny enough
