Listen to contemporary Christian ONLY for 30 days. Life changing. Trust me. And MercyMe? Saw them live last spring. Amazing!!!!!
Our Christian radio station plays nothing but Christmas songs between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the starting on January 1, they used to challenge new listeners to give Christian music 30 days to change their lives, unfortunately they stopped doing the challenge a couple of years ago. I wish they’d bring it back as I believe this world needs it.
Ugh I couldn't. That music makes me depressed and angry.
@@IDONTLIKEMONDAYS-w2h the old style church music did me too. When I started back going to church in the mid 2000’s, I went to a new (huge church) and they had a band that played loud praise music (i mean, that wasn’t the way church was supposed to sound lol). It irritated me so I’d come later than most when most (not all) of the singing was over. It was like being in a loud concert. It wasn’t long and I found I loved the praise music. It really started lifting me up. Have you ever listened to Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Michael W Smith, Phil Wickham, Matt Redman, and Hillsong? Those were what I got introduced to and now I “button push” (showing my age) between country and praise stations whenever I’m in the car.
I tried that 12 years ago and it's been life changing. I surround myself with positive messages all day long.
@knoxscott65able I don't want to drag certain things into the conversation but I can't avoid negativity considering what the us has in store for it. I'm very afraid. Will this help me not be afraid?

This song is about a friend of the band who was paralyzed in an accident and every time someone would tell him he couldn't do something, he'd say "Say I Won't" and he would feel inspired to prove he could. MerceyMe has a a LOT of really inspiring songs.

I've seen them live twice, their awesome and never disappoint. Bart is a first rate songwriter, and the band is so together. They have countless great songs over a 24 year span. Keep going down the rabbit hole, you won't be disappointed, and it will be good for your soul! 😃
Jay, you should start a segment called "Worship Wednesday" (like female friday), where you react to Christian music on Wednesdays.
The reason I suggest this is because there's a serious lack of reactions to Christian music on RUclips, so you would be filling a very under-served niche.

Saw them live and they covered REM’s Everybody Hurts. Blew me away. They have quite an extensive catalog.

But remember, there are others out there waiting to give you a Song of Hope,, a word of encouragement. One group you reacted to a while back was Skillet! I'm a child of the 70s and was a teen in the 80s, so I love, love, love your channel and have been fan since the early days, but I can SEE this one hit different! 20 years ago, MercyMe was my gateway into Christian music and it really changed my life. Don't be afraid to go down the Christian Contemporary music rabbit hole!
I can only imagine and word of God speak are my two favorites by this band. I’ve always wanted to see them my daughter and my nieces have but my wife and I have seen third day, David, Crowder, Casting crowns, Nichole Nordeman and Aaron Shust.

But I have to now some great listen’s are… Casting Crowns- “praise you in this storm “ and really uplifting and upbeat “ Nobody” /Jeremy Camp- “I still believe “ and “Walk by faith “ and Mercy Me- “ Best news ever” and The Hurt & the Healer” but any song from any of these is amazing and there are SO many CC Artists and songs Oh and you have to do Lauren Daigle “ Look up child “ and “ You say” .

Mercy Me is awesome! I have most all of their albums from over the years. They have alot of uplifting music 25yrs or so & some catchy songs with real life relatable lyrics❤ moving, healing, uplifting, that will encourage the stand and inspire the journey.

RIP Eva Cassidy. She would have been 62 years old today, February 2nd. What a loss. She died way too soon at age 37. Her music lives on. Millions of her fans love her. Too bad we haven't had a reaction to her music in almost 3 years. More people need to hear her.

I love MercyMe! I've been listening to them ever since I Can Only Imagine came out in 2001. You can't go wrong with any of their songs.
