    Hi, I have owned one of these in the UK for several years. My 'dream' car really though I could afford many other 'dream' vehicles. It's fantastic in many ways. A head turner often and conversation piece for sure. Ahead of its time and when admirers discover its attributes they are more impressed. Mine's unashamedly pampered!

    This is actually my second favorite car after air-cooled Porsche 911. For old 911s, you don't need the complexity to make a SuperCar; and for Beat you don't need the size to make a fun car.

  • @MrGymm56
    @MrGymm56 7 лет назад +18

    I own a Beat in the UK. It is my toy I guess. Your remarks about its figures need to be considered against its weight really. Yes, only 656 cc but I go with 'it's not what you do, it's the way that you do it......' Sprinting's clearly not a win but drive it round a corner and it's on rails. I own some desirable cars but here's my test. If I put the ignition keys on their bonnets (hoods) for drivers to take for testing then the Beat easily wins. Friends return it reluctantly with a huge grin on their faces. Some one asked me at a filling station, 'Is it a car?' Oh yes......

    I figure if you have a short commute and a more practical vehicle as a backup, this would be a perfectly fine daily driver. As far as planning goes, you'd have to do some, but it wouldn't be much more inconvenient than car pooling.
