Those big GM starters are notorious for 'heat soak'. i put mini starters on all my cars and truck. no starting issues since.
Great video! We appreciate your business.
Wow! Well thank you for supporting everyone like me and our shared passion for making things go fast!
nice car
PowerMaster starters are awesome. I installed one on my SBC and thing fires up like a champ!
They sure are I had it bad with headers and I got that same starter 2 years ago and zero I love it
i was going to do this but IMO the sound of the old starter is better, the price is like $30 on rock auto for a reman BOSCH, but it takes a jack to install one... a heat shield helps BIG TIME with headers. Thanks for the video
I've been running lt1 starters on my small blocks, don't have to dodge the headers and affordable.
Thanks for sharing this. Well done.
Cool. Getting hi torque starter soon cold start new starter you have manual or electric choke.
I've never had starting problems with cold or hot in my 82 gmc k2500 lol
That's an awesome truck I'd love to have one someday. And it sounds like you've got a good starter then 👍
If your GM has a ignition wire (purple) to the coil. Where would you wire that too? I can’t find any info on this.
Where does the wire come from? My impala has a purple wire from the chassis but it runs to the starter on the positive side I think.
dam that small nose starter crank that engine like no tork on it . and the heavy starter verry turn it over . im down with the raceing one .
will o have to switch out my flex plate? 97c1500 350 vortec. idk why but i have a big starter and not the smaller one like my 98 has
Hey guy I am thinking about this but not sure. 1) What is weight difference? 2)Is the electrical draw less or more with the new starter?
Less draw and a quarter of the weight.
Wassup with the double post
I wanted to make a shorter video for anyone who was just looking for a comparison video. Where as my other one was more of a "vlog" i guess
