    New to your channel, thanks for your review. So here’s the thing I bought this at 300 at release and really didn’t use it so I sold it. Lately I have been using handhelds a lot more and now I have a thing for them and now have them all (Rog X, Steam Deck OLED LE, Legion Go) and each serves its own purpose when on the go. It was good for what it was and I was just thinking of Logitech and wanted re acquire it to have a simple cloud only device on a simple UI. No way was I spending 300 given the specs and coincidently they actually have a nice sale right now with a code that brought it down to 190 so I’m glad to have it back. While not the best out there it does serve its purpose well.

    Ive had my g-cloud for a couple of months now and still use it almost daily. I actually prefer it compared to firing up my console. The bigger screen and how well it feels in the hand makes it worth the price in my opinion. It definitely shines in the cloud gaming aspect and easily emulates up to psp with no issue at all.

    I have the perfect use case for my Logitech G-Cloud. It's my media hub away from my PC and other devices. It's docked in my living room on my big screen television. I use it to pull everything in house together in one screen. When undocked, I use public WiFi, my phone's hotspot, or just android games with touch controls remapped to physical buttons, or emulators. Love my G-Cloud. Price could be lower though.

    I just snagged one for $150 and I feel that’s more realistically what it should cost. The battery is incredible, and fit and finish as well as comfortability and feel are all great. But it’s a very weird space that it sits in, as primarily a streaming device that is just serving as a screen with a controller on it, and an underperforming emulation machine (that’s what I paid the $150 for, a comfortable, premium feeling emulator, although I would love if it had just a bit more horsepower to handle more) 12:40

    I bought the gcloud when it first released. It was $350 then. I ended up switching it for a Steamdeck and when I want a smaller device I go to a Switch Lite. Once I got the ROG Ally X the Steamdeck sits in its case, but surprisingly the Switch Lite still gets plenty of use.

      The ROG Ally X is pretty awesome, but the G Cloud is a tough sell at this price point. Even an open box one at $250 makes more sense. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm new to your channel and new to cloud gaming. Really like your calm and very realy life way you explained everything and so I added a subscription to your channel because I like your style and am hoping to see more videos like this in the future. I do have a few thoughts/questions if you are able to help me please. The use case I was thinking of was to get this for my Son who's always asking to borrow my phone (especially when I am driving) to play his Google Play store android games on my android phone. The insurance company always dings me for using apps when I drive but its usually because my Son has borrowed my phone to play his games. Do you think this would be a good purchase for my speciic needs given the above use case with my kid always wanting to borrow my phone to play his play store games? Also I was wondering if this is good for when you are hanging out at home and connected to WiFi to play games on the Steam library or connect to an XBox to play games console games (sort of like how Playstation Portal works) or do you need PC Game Pass to do that? Thank you so very much.

    • @wilsonram39
      @wilsonram39 15 дней назад

      Real specific use case but, having looked at a bunch of reviews, I'll help with an answer.
      - Good for son to use?
      On the one hand, this device would work great for regular android games. However, there are 2 caveats
      1) is it as good as others on the market?
      2) is it worth the price to performance.
      Sadly, the answer is no to both. The processor used is a snapdragon CPU from 2020, so when it comes to playing things under it's own power, it can do things alright, but likely won't be as powerful as others. Depending on the game, this may mean that even some android games don't run as well.
      To that end, you can look at what else is on the market. The G-Cloud sells somewhere from $190 to $300, with an MSRP of $350. Unless you're on the low end, it is not worth it, *particularly* if just concerned with your son playing games on something.

    Maybe I'm missing something and I'm not sure what tablets you tried with your game sir controller but android wise their WiFi is not great... unless maybe the Lenovo y700/legion tab? Even that seems to have WiFi issues and the company not caring. I think the G cloud is that expensive because it has very well optimised WiFi so cloud gaming runs very well plus the virtual button mapping felt better than on the razer kishi ultra for me.
    Still thinking if I should get the Legion Go cause it's so cheap compared to the Ally and probably enough for most games other than the very intense ones graphic wise.

    • @nophacetech
      @nophacetech  2 месяца назад

      No tablets, just my Pixel phones, and the Wi-Fi is exceptional-even playing over 5G cell service works great most of the time. The G Cloud is great too, but not better; phones are extremely dialed in, though they also cost 3-6 times as much. The Legion Go looks awesome! I haven’t used it myself, but be aware that new Legion Go models might be dropping soon, so you could be buying something right before new tech is released. I’ve been waiting to see what a Legion Go version 2 will bring, as most companies make big improvements with the second iteration. We saw this with the Steam Deck OLED - massive upgrades - and the Ally X over the original Ally. So, the Legion Go 2 could be pretty amazing.
