I like to aim for the right foot so it initially looks like an easy forehand shot. Sometimes they’ll wind up early and they end up way off balance. This also makes a great mid line serve depending on your paddle hand.
I think you don’t see the pros doing this because the person that they’re playing against is also a pro, and they know how to counteract us more easily.
I think it’s more effective to do the same chip return but keep the ball low. I’ve had great success with that vs 4.0+ players
I do a side spin return it comes off a little more flat, but definitely throws people off when returning and I get a pop up often 🙌🏼
