After listening closely (the best I can over video), I feel like the 22 may be louder and "crisper" in the high end....but the 28 somehow sounds more realistic to me 6:28 vs 7:05 vs 7:51 (same pommel)
It's my understanding that they had to program the 28mm speaker to limit at 80% volume. They switched to the 22mm as it could handle the gain from the board better.
I’ve got two Senza on CFX with 22mm and 28mm. I can confirm that the 22mm speaker does sounds better overall (louder) especially during ignition. Whoever gets the later version of the 22mm is certainly an upgrade from S3. ✌🏻- great review as always Koopa ! 👍🏻
There both great speakers! But I personally like the 28mm speaker better because it has a high pitched ignition. I feel like the 22m speaker is best for the Dark side of the force, its lower pitched sound makes it perfect for Kylo ren and many other Dark force wielders.
You’ll want to press the aux button down and cycle through your fonts till you get to the “menu” option and then cycle through the menu and there is an option for editing blade length in there.
Hi Darth, just wanted to ask if you have ever have one of the auxiliary switches on the sabertrio sabers get stuck, just got mine and the auxiliary switch is stuck have you any idea how to fix it?
@@DarthKoopa Thanks for the video mate. Just thinking about future speaker upgrades for my Senza. One speaker has blown already. 😆 Sabertrio has offered to replace the speaker again, even when my saber is out of warranty. They are such a great company.
@@robertblay9179 I emailed sabertrio because I also was concerned about them switching over to a small speaker, and they told me rest assured the speaker quality is just as good if not better with the new 22mm speaker because the 28mm wasn't able to handle the output as well and was causing some of them to short out.. but I just recently received my rts valhken and Im quite impressed with the quality of the speaker, especially compared to my other neopixel lightsaber I own from saberforge.
Sabertrio’s old 28 is the worst 28mm speaker on the market lol (Veco one). So this comparison isn’t really fair. None 22mm speaker can sound better than a bigger 28mm speaker. Also keep in mind that CFX board is quieter than a Proffieboard, so again, not a fair comparison.
When i questioned them on their original facebook post they did admit that they understand an aftermarket 28mm will be better than any speaker they offer or have offered (KR/Smugglers) ... I would still love to hear a test of the same hilt with old and new speaker recorded using proper clean/dampened room and decent mic .... job for someone like Kyberphonic / KSith Especially would love to see frequency graph of both hilts recorded at the same distance / volume levelled etc.... Simply listening to 2 sabers recorded on a phone mic in a echoy room offers no real meaningful comparison
@@highlightshadow I wonder if it might be better to purchase from Sabertrio with a stock 28mm speaker, and then just upgrade to a better 28mm 3w after.
@@nyarlethotep They've stopped shipping 28's now havent they? They use 22mm ... so any upgrade would require modification ... i know Smugglers Outpost offer a service now to get a dark side 28 installed

I think it's about sound resonnance. The best way to hear the difference is to use the same pommel.
Why did Sabertrio not add vents at the bottom of the pommel for the sologaard pommel. The Senza pommel does sound louder than the Sologaard pommel
@@eddiehoang7066 the senza pommel is perfect. Like, wow.
In fact, it's the sabetrio saber that is installed with their new 22mm speaker!

@@eddiehoang7066 I got mine on the previous RTS 😬
@@iamskipper oh shoot I didn't know sabertrio upgraded to the 22mm speakers since the last rts. That's good to know thanks!
I haven't heard the 28mm speaker, but the 22mm speaker was a disappointment for me - at least in this price range.

Is one of these a legacy chassis (22mm speaker) and the other their power core chassis(28mm speaker)?

I have no idea how to upgrade my speaker, but cool comparison nonetheless. I’m not sure which one I like better

How do we think both 22mm and 28mm Veco would compare to a Smugglers outpost 28mm elite?
I think the SO 28mm elite would be superior

@Darthkoopa when you used the Senza pommel on the Krosgaard, did you notice a considerable sound difference compared to the krosgaard pommel?
Yes it was noticeably louder
Just for fun: after all you have experienced if you had to pick only one lightsaber, what brand model and config?
Sabertrio Krosgaard with Proffie

Not right now.

How are you recording this? What microphone are you using? How far away are the speakers? Do you know the dB recorded at one meter?
28mm all day.
Does this mean the one I ordered recently will come with the 22 speaker?
Yes it will come with the new 22mm
Definitely could hear the difference in the two speakers. I'm looking forward to owning a new Sabertrio. Appreciate the comparison.
Have you ever considered making ASMR? You have a very nice calming voice.
haha thank you, no i haven't thought of that, ive always thought my voice sounded weird

Yeah that 22 sounds better and the 28 sound like it's laid back
