Tbh i dont see a huge difference between S3 and LGT. The only thing i fear from LGT is realiability. But if i look at them, i cant tell you wich one is from S3 or LGT. Both look good to me.
Seeing and handling them in person, you can tell the quality is much higher on the S3. Sound quality is a bit better as well. But the modded LGT flat rips for less than half the price.
Great video! I just received my first proffie+neopixel lightsaber last week and am planning to swap out its 28mm generic speaker to a S.O Elite 28mm. I was also thinking of upgrading the chassis to a fully removable one in the near future.
Saber Trio machining makes the sound resonance really awesome. That said i'm SUPER curious to see if/how much better a 28mm SO Darkside swap on the s3 stock speaker would sound. Thank you for taking the time to do this my friend!
I think it would flat out rock, and I will try my best to do that when this 22 no longer makes me happy. The LGTs are loud and clear, but the S3 has an edge in richness of sound. If that makes sense. Just more depth and layers. But a bit less bass, too. I can’t complain. Since I’ve gotten mine this way and finally have an S3, I barely have a reason to make vids. Lol

That’s actually just how the “Shoto” hum sounds on the stock LGT speaker. It’s a very buzzy hum. Free font, too, if you want.
