When you die your last sense to go is your hearing so if you get short or die with others around it's possible to hear people trying to help you. What is also cruel is grinding up trash and plastic in pig feed and selling that toxic meat to the public. Animals kill animals and eat them alive all the time. That’s not true for the stingray. For an Octopus or another fish, you can kill then first no problem, but in stingrays, killing causes a harmful enzyme to released from the skin. It’s why he had to cut it off first. In my opinion, the better solution would be not eat stingrays at all given how many other viable food options we have.
I went to Jeju Island myself and ate some of the live fishes. I might have walked past this particular place, to be honest. I do have to say they are pretty good as they had swimming ladies near the volcano base who had a bag of fishes and whatnot tied and you could eat anything fresh. I do recall the lady smacked my stuff with a hammer before slicing it. I didn't eat a stingray but I don't think I would feel comfortable eating it knowing it died like this. I like to think my food came with a humane ending instead of something I would consider painful and inhumane like this guy did.

For me, it is okay when you have or want to eat fish but fish feel pain and they don't want to die. There are ways to kill fish more painless before cutting it instead of cutting it into peaces alive. You have internet, you can inform yourself. All the information is there and it's no questions of 1st world but of caring, being informed and having some respect for all creatures.
Killing stingrays as a revenge is inhumane. As a child I also liked to watch Steve Irvine but hating stingrays because of being and acting as STINGrays would never come to my mind.
Steve Irvine loved and respected nature in his way. He knew how dangerous animals can be and hated non of them. Neither did Jesus, whom you mentioned.

That’s not true for the stingray. For an Octopus or another fish, you can kill then first no problem, but in stingrays, killing causes a harmful enzyme to released from the skin. It’s why he had to cut it off first. In my opinion, the better solution would be not eat stingrays at all given how many other viable food options we have.

I went to Jeju Island myself and ate some of the live fishes. I might have walked past this particular place, to be honest. I do have to say they are pretty good as they had swimming ladies near the volcano base who had a bag of fishes and whatnot tied and you could eat anything fresh. I do recall the lady smacked my stuff with a hammer before slicing it. I didn't eat a stingray but I don't think I would feel comfortable eating it knowing it died like this. I like to think my food came with a humane ending instead of something I would consider painful and inhumane like this guy did.

It was dead at that point, those are it’s nerves moving which is an unconscious bodily reaction, not the stingray consciously deciding to move. Many dead animals’ nerves do this.

It looks like this stingray died about 14:40 in. THAT'S when it became a food item. Until then, it was a living, feeling being that was given one of the most brutal, horrible deaths fathomable while being completely helpless. We are the most intelligent creatures on this planet, we have the miracle capability of empathy. Having these traits, we owe it to our prey to give it quick and humane death.

Not to mention, all of the parasitic animals that basically eat their prey from the inside while the host suffer. Still, this is very barbaric since there's a lot of ways to humanely kill livestock to save it from suffering too much.
Most people here don't even realize that such seafood cooking that way makes sense.
