I got an Injen Tuned Cold Air Intake for my 2015 Sonic and the nice thing about it, opposed to K&N is that there is no oiling to mess up the MAF Sensor, you just vacuum the filter! It comes pre Tuned for your power plant.
That extra boost I got from it comes in handy on the highway trying to speed up to merge lanes.
Time to go turbo now 🤣👍

Is it normal to get a shaking engine and codes such as p0299-engine underboost, p1101-intake air flow system error, and p0101-MAF sensor performance issue that won't clear? Waiting on a tune but would that fix these?

Usually they do increase hp. It varies for every car but it's never much . Probably like 2hp lol

Not really ....it makes a great sound though I did testing on the track with the k and N I went slower ....the tune makes all the difference on any changes you do to your car . Cat back systems are the same .. although I am not knocking his video it looks good but it's Dyno proven they do not make more HP without tuning your car to it .

Lol ....well this ones on a turbo so when you let off the gas you hear the swoosh sound like what they call a blowoff valve, you hear it cuz Sonic's have a recirculation back into the stock air box remove stock air box you will hear the swoosh sound ....

I just installed my cai, I'm still getting the same code for a faulty air intake, could it be maybe I haven't fastened something tight enough or could it be a faulty sensor?

I'm actually about to make my 2014 a tuner. I've considered it for a while and with how light it is I might just throw a turbo on mine. But I would consider tuning the car after the cold air intake is put on.

Yes
Technically, from a legal perspective, I believe you are allowed to modify a car, and as long as the modification did not directly caused the problem on your vehicle, the warranty is still intact. However, I wouldn't want to give the dealership any possible reason to not honor the warranty, so I would avoid modifying a car until the warranty is up. It depends on the dealer, I'm sure some are more lenient about it than others. Intakes usually are not a huge deal, but it's a risk you take.

1.8 I believe. It doesn't have a turbo
