Alan is Robert Alda's son. Robert was an actor, raised in New York by a family named Brunetti. When Robert became well known in Hollywood, he never contacted his foster family, as though they never existed. Robert's foster mom spoke broken English and made pizza from scratch, not with store-bought dough. I knew the Brunetti family well, but never met Robert. My mom watched Mash because she loved Hawkeye. Alan made it to the top. Cheers, Alan Alda. I hope they find a cure real soon.

I have lived with Dystonia for 10 years since I was 25 years old, after I had my third child. Some days I would give anything to just have mild symptoms and to take a mild pill.

Doctors told my dad he wasn't fit for duty after he was injured while in the merchant marines. He went back to work, and he outlived that doctor. My mother, father, husband, and brother all smoked and all got cancer. I quit smoking twenty years ago and I can't believe some people still smoke, including one of my four daughters, who won't admit she has respiratory issues. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. I can't get her to quit, just like she can't get me to stop eating my favorite foods. I hope you will live as long as you choose. I hope you will make the right choices.
