Tom Cawley - Piano & Octatrack - Lines

Here's a live improvisation using just an Electron Octatrack with the piano.
I programmed the Octatrack to try to make something interactive - it samples my piano and treats it in different ways, with several Flex machines all reading the same sample. Pitch shifting, time stretching, filtering, sequencing, etc.
The piece goes from pretty simple and plaintive to very rhythmic, depending on how I engage the machines. I find it amazing how much dynamic depth you can get out of a sampler.
