Good stuff! I agree here in the US we seem to have fallen asleep at musical wheel. Anybody got an alarm clock?

You should check out the first single of this new batch that they released about 8-9 months ago - Blood & Water. I really enjoyed it as I hadn't heard them before either.

Saw them live at Warped Tour 2015 in Toronto. They were solid live. This is definitely a softer song from them although they have some even softer songs such as "Miles Away" which released in 2012. Given your military background I think you would really enjoy the lyrics of this song.

    Very texas

This is the more Radio friendly side of MMF. They have stuff that’s much heavier and upbeat and just all over the place. Not super experimental but so solid.
Challenger is their best metalcore album in my opinion. However this newest one I’ve been loving every song on.

I had a friend drag me to one of their concerts back in like 2014..I enjoyed it, but it really never stuck. Now that I'm revisting this band, it sounds nowhere near what I remembered. This is has morphed into some kind of teenager emo-core😱

Teenage emo core? Wtf? Maybe you don't appreciate southern groove metal like he is legend or Norma Jean or maybe soulful lyrics don't appeal to you and anything besides growling 1000 percent of the time is emo to you and that's fine but to compare this to teenage emo core is borderline ignorant... When I hear emo core I think my chemical romance, afi or motionless in white
... So I wanna know what drugs you're on.

I KNEW you had some kind of a Christian music background. I felt it.
Need To Breathe is amazing. Memphis May Fire is amazing. Killswitch Engage is amazing. Vocal and musical chops as seen in Lorna Shore are amazing.
Everyone is gifted in their own way. Sometimes they don't realize where it comes from, but WE know.
I also love your musical knowledge, especially on the vocal stuff. From country to hard rock and heavy metal.
Much love to you from Ontario, Canada!

How about need to breathe sounds like mmf stripped down (since they were around first). Fixed it for you.

If you want to do a dynamic more experimental American metal core band I would suggest august burns red. They're all over the place and they've been nominated twice for grammy awards. I'm telling you they're bonkers and in terms of the genre as a whole they're in my top three. I would suggest starting with invisible enemy, Paramount and bones. These guys keep it real.
Also mmf has been around for a while. If you want to hear them at there absolute heaviest I suggest Challenger. That album is absolutely disgusting as far as heavy goes.

If you want harder music from MMF, I'd listen to any song on their album "The Hollow". I recommend The Sinner
