Admittedly, I haven't watched a ton of Suns basketball. I watched the third quarter yesterday. My goodness...the Suns are awful. Like absolutely awful. They literally just play iso ball while every else just stands around and then play virtually no defense. There was one possession where Booker just held the ball without dribbling for about 20 seconds and all the other Suns literally stood at the perimeter and watched him. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
They don't have a point guard! This was known before the season started. Plus, the coaching is bogus.

Suns are 0 and 14 when down 0-2 in a playoff series. It might be over. They've been held under 100 points both games, Grayson will probably be out Friday. The coaching is bad, the Suns are truly outmatched. Wolves best players had less than 20 and the wolves still won. Suns will probably win on Friday because of all the emotions and everything that crowd will bring during that game, but I honestly see the wolves winning game 4 and ending it game 5 in MN.

It’s less that they are down 0-2 and more about how they’ve performed up to this point… they have shown very little resistance and absolutely zero heart… the series is definitely not over… but they don’t look like they want to win… and if Allen can’t play, it’s going to be that much tougher to defend their home court.

Been preaching about the Twolves since ant went off in game 2 vs the nuggets last year. That second round match up between those two teams, barring injury, is for this years title.

Grayson Allen has played like 3 quarters this series and he looked in major pain with that ankle. You can’t put the blame on him and attribute it to his lack of shot attempts

Without a PG to conduct the team and having 3 guys who all NEED to have the ball, you need a reliable outlet or setup guy… Allen has been that guy all year. And a team that already has no bench having to replace a starter makes that impossibly thin bench even more feeble.

I always go back to, when people talked about gobert being gameplanned off the court in the playoffs. But yet, no one speaks on the playoff gameplan that this defense has the capability to do. Interesting to see how suns respond in game 2. But outside of the 0-3 to phx in the reg season, this wolves team has been ridiculously consistent on defensive effort. Naw, McDaniels, and Ant are a three headed monster where 2 out of 3 are always on the court shutting down everything and anything on the wings. This is a historic defense in my eyes, I havent seen this much effort and chaos consistently in a team for a very long time.
The physicality of Rudy, and mentality of Ant is going to travel with the wolves.
Don’t forget, the wolves haven’t even played their best ball especially on offense. Naz & Kat haven’t even got rolling yet 😭

The difference is team cohesion. Timberwolves have played together for most of the season with their core. Suns have played together in parts of the season with their core: with guys in and out of the lineup more frequently.

Phoenix’s style might work against other teams but not the Timberwolves. The Wolves have an identity and execute it very well. Phoenix don’t really have an identity and that’s the fault of their coaching.
Agreed! Bad coaching. No point guard. No backup center. Weak bench. All of these factors matter. It's a miracle that the Suns won the 6th seed, given Booker & Beal missed a combined 40 games or so.

Minnesota right now are making great adjustments... Rudy isn't as flat footed the way he used to be defensively... Minnesota's depth is showing great intensity, Naz Reid, Nickell Alexander-Walker, Monte Morris... Jaden McDaniels dropped 25 points, the scary part bout this game was that KAT and Ant didn't play that well, they were okay at best and McDaniels stepped up... Rudy stepped up... Conley stepped up.. the depth that everyone questioned about Phoenix at the beginning of the year was ultimately going to be a factor for Phoenix's rise/downfall..
Now I am not naive... I've seen Minnesota fail and lose due to their inconsistencies and blow a series they should've won, like Russo said, (and as a fan of this team, Saint Paul represent) We need to see them do it on the road which is possible due to the fact that they are tied with the best road record in the West (Alongside the Clippers) 26-15... if they can steal one from Phoenix at home, then I have full confidence to say that Minnesota will win this series... because as I learned, nothing is more dangerous in these playoffs than a team that can win on the road.
And let's not forget about the maturity of Ant. He wasn't getting shots to fall but he was making good decisions with the basketball. He wasn't forcing shots or constantly turning the ball over. He led the team in assists and the team (and us in the crowd) were feeding off the energy he was bringing.
Imagine when we get to see the Naz Reid explosion incoming. It has to be inevitable. right? Any given night with these players. Man its insane, and the defense is just relentless in its pursuit. I dont think i have ever seen a team truly, with 3 legitimate all nba defense quality on the wings, being able to play on the court together. And then Rudy as the anchor, and Kat and Naz improving on that end, mainly due to effort and team cohesion and identity. I feel like a proud parent, when at the beginning of the season, very early on, i was like, this defense is gonna be a problem in May.

Ant doesn’t scare any lethal shooter/scorer defensively, he scares them offensively despite being a two way player. And I think Ant is the best shooting guard in the NBA and a top 5 overall guard with Curry, Luka, Dame and Shai in no order.

Frank Vogel is a terrible coach period. Why isn't Bol starting instead of Grayson Allen? If they're going to play big, the Suns have the personnel to counter that. Also if Devin Booker can't figure it out we do have Isiah Thomas. Thad Young, Bol, and Isiah Thomas could definitely help if the coach would play them. And if Ant and McDaniels are going off, we have Okogie and Little who are great defensive players. Vogel is just plain bad at making adjustments and won't utilize all the talent on this team...smh
