Like I've said on twitter before, there's a reason I make satire theories and don't really focus on making genuine theories (reserving the serious and the satire theories for a discord channel where we all just throw our evidence in the ring). Here's one of these theories: There's a glitch where if you turn voice volume to 0, all dialogue cutscenes with nothing super visual just automatically skip. What other instance in this franchise do we see a difference when voice volume is gone? The Chica's Magic Rainbow minigame from FNaF World. I personally think Chica's Magic Rainbow is the one who infected Mapbot in a way that makes Chica constantly teleport behind you if you don't look at her (yet another bug that hasn't been fixed, and that rainbow is specifically Chica's). Mapbot is the only one who can teleport on his own accord, meaning he is responsible for the animatronics teleporting to where they should be when Gregory is caught by a staff bot. (Mostly just ripped from AstralSpiff's satire theory, but my own spin put on it with the Rainbow)
This is what I've thought ever since we saw the Mimic liked putting on costumes. I figured that it eventually would "put on" Afton's corpse since it wants to be Afton. I also figured that Afton's agony, and perhaps remnant, then infected the Mimic, however, I think the Mimic let's him do it to literally become the resurrected Afton. I never thought of Nexie's implications. Great theory.
I feel like the stories aren't there to explain how Burntrap was made, but to show that in this universe, it is POSSIBLE for that to happen, for someone to do it, which gives a bit more background to William still being alive (which just by seeing Burntrap, at least for me, it wasn't clear whether William was still there or not)
Actually, it's made very clear that William is still alive with the voice lines of Springtrap in FNAF AR game. I mean, he's repeating the lines of the other animatronics that were in UCN and if he were to not be alive or still be in UCN, I believe that it would be impossible to do.

Honestly security breach was so confusing and not what I expected that i just started writing my own rewritten au head-canon version to make a more understandable and better story and just to satisfy myself, it gives Gregory, Vanessa and Freddy a much bigger and more significant roles as well as others, it has my own original ideas and characters,by the way it’s not a comic or anything i just writing it for fun.
that other story you mentioned, to me, sounds more similar to an ennard situation with wearing mike, than to burntrap which is like, a few bits of a decomposed corpse. but i have not read the books and its still interesting to bring up, suprisingly also havent heard about that story yet either which seems a little odd that it's brought up only at the next books release
This theory is great, if true it would fix my issue with Mimic (He doesn't fit in FNAF) I always liked the agony angle especially since all the agony build-up in the books seemingly went nowhere, and it allows Afton to be dead while simultaneously remaining the overarching antagonist.
bro THANKYOU for being the only content creator that surrounds the lore of such a game or theories and speaks up to the amount of people that have done this sort of thing. i have personally been attacked on so many comments and subjects even when its not to do with the fnaf lore just because i have the same thought process as you in which u cant say it is full proof until it has been outright confirmed. the amount of people in comment sections who have hounded me, stated im wrong with pure ignorance, getting hostile, calling me slurs tryna say im the problem for having an opinion and tryna either make a debate about it or say that i dont believe it to be the case is insane. the amount of toxic people there are not just in this community but in many others who got out their way to outright bully and harrass people is actually quite shocking on how many people there are that do this. theres been theories and comments and debates ive commented within the videos of including matpats theories on how i personally believe hes started to stray off the beaten path and got lost in his own theorising over the years that ive had people outright slander me for no reason, send me hostile messages and all sorts just because they are the type of fans that actually believe their content creator that they re a fan of cant be wrong or purely because anything else anyone else says is outright just wrong and only that specific theory or timeline is correct. i cant stress enough how painfully annoying as well as how obsurd the levels people stoop down to for such small thing that in reality, serves no meaning and purpose to anything. its like im unable to speak my mind, people have been avidly going out their way to play the victim card when i defend myself will also target me, will gang up in the messages and do numerous of other things just for voicing a different perspective of opinion. its actually sad and embarrassing people go to these petty lengths to cause harm to others in some way because people cant accept that they or the people they fan girl over so heavily, can be wrong. im happy uve shed light onto this because ive had over 10 to 20 messages on youtube notifications in the past week alone for voicing a different opinion, 80% of them being hostile and negative.

Personally I think its important to understand that because of how patchwork the fnaf lore is, the larger the theory, the more holes there will be. Accept it, think about those holes, but don't let it be your focus.
Make theories! Go wild, deep dive into those books and games connect dots no one else has thought of, and tell the world! It’s your theory, people will love it, open their eyes, or hate it. But guess what the fun part is, it’s your opinion. And no one else’s
I'd personally suggest you hear it's basics from someone firstly. The videos are the sources where you can add up to the main story parts but the videos telling about FNAF lore are ALWAYS lacking something crucial. It's not done correctly, no matter how much work someone puts into telling about it (For example, MatPat's / Game Theory's FNAF videos). I could potentially tell you about it all if you want. I've been following FNAF since it's release and I do not forget about the connections between past theories, like so many theorists nowadays tend to do.
Make notes. Write down bullet points of the basic facts that we know. When you play one of the games or read the books, make a note of anything that sticks out, then see if you can see where it might fit and try to make connections. For example, in the novels, Charlie makes these bits that communicate with each other, and when she wears an earpiece, the bots can 'see' her. They end up figuring out that if they reverse something in the earpiece, the wearer is invisible to afton's animatronics. A while ago, I thought that maybe vanny was using something similar to be invisible to the animatronics, rather than using the illusion disks. Whatever you come up with doesn't have to be big.
y'know it's actually kinda crazy, this video put into perspective actually how little of the majorly theorized lore is actually confirmed in the games and is just mainly speculation

I feel like astrids story in nexie really closely reflects how circus baby tricked michael into the scooping room to use his body but instead of putting the endo in the skin suit her body was fitted to the endo. If anything i think it further supports the theory that this was the method used for burntrap, who knows how often they've used this method

Most of the evidence for these theories seems more like damage control than actual parallels to what they had intended for the games. I feel like this is a strong theory, but who would be in control of burn trap? William or the mimic? Either way, the mimic wouldn’t be able to recreate Aftons behavior, since the mimic never met him and learned his behaviors. It's likely that Vanny took one of the other mimics created by Mr. Renner then used most of the remnant from her victims and that's how she created Burntrap/Afton.
I think the mimic may play a role in rebuilding and reviving afton but I’m not convinced mimic is the villain. I personally think it’s still afton. Good video on the topic, can’t wait to see the mimic in the movie.

While I do disagree with the idea that Henry made the Mimic (I personally think the Tales books are canon to the games), I’m still not sold on Kelly being the corpse in Burntrap. I have an idea of what they’re gonna do. In Ruin, they’ll kill Gregory, destroy the pizzaplex and then say “oh we wanted to explore some of these unsolved mysteries but we didn’t have the time for them in the games so we explored them in the books” and that’s why the books will be canon. If they actually wanted to use these characters again I doubt they would do these massive reveals like Gregory being P46 or Kelly being Burntrap in the books, they would surely save them for the games.

Mimic actually came out of nowhere because in FNAF AR, thanks to Springtrap's voice lines, it's very clear that it's the same William who got stuck in UCN.
For me I’m the opposite. I was relieved when the mimic thing came out because Afton coming back AGAIN felt cheap, and at that point he was no longer mysterious or frightening as a villain. His character arc coming to an end in UCN, in a personal hell, felt very fitting and satisfying as an end to his story, and to me it would be a bad move to undermine that just to bring him back because they have no better ideas for a villain. The mimic is at least more creative, even if I do think it is a retcon because people were so sick of Afton coming back since (as I think) it’s a disservice to the resolution the story reached in condemning him to the UCN hell. Everyone is totally entitled to feel their own way about it, but I am for sure on team “Afton Stays Dead”. He got what he deserved, now leave the demon to his demons.
I have a theory about ruin. Remember when we use the elevator to get down to the fnaf 6 pizzeria the elevator says it can only be used once because of its disrepair. So my theory is that Gregory is still in the Pizza plex because he couldn't get out using the elevator and that's why we see him asking for help from Cassi. what are your guys thoughts.

I mean in the past we had to decod stuff, serch colours, serach Scott copyright issue when it comes to sister location. I'm less and less convinced that the mimic even exists in the game timeline, i get trying to pull William off the field but the mimic doesn't feel like a clean solution anymore. I think it just might be a completely divergent story.
As someone who is trying to become a theorist in the community I definitely agree that all of the talks about the books being "confirmed" are more harmful than good. Even talking about the books potentially not being canon or being canon can start an argument. It creates this animosity because let's face it, neither side wants to be wrong about the books. Those who read the books want their time to be rewarded so they want the books to be considered confirmed canon, but those of us who haven't read the books or just fell off them would rather be able to ignore them and mainly focus on the evidence presented in the games. But if the books are ever confirmed now they have to read books they don't like to have the lore told to them instead of figuring it out themselves. It's a no-win situation so I'm glad that one of the most reliable theorists out there is taking the more neutral stance of "they may be canon, may not be" and examining the evidence from both viewpoints

(my dude litteraly has been crushed alive by a springlock furry costume, fusing stuck with it in the process) Imo, someone fanatical enough to follow Glitchtrap instructions remade the springlock incident with a victim in a kind of weird ritual intended to bring it back through a new vessel filled with remnant/agony (wich is required for an inanimated object to host a spirit in universe) using a victim as a catalyst. (notice the springlock endoskeleton parts scattered on the suit (notably in the chestpiece) Also afton corpse is def out of game, bodies technically not tough enough to survive fire.

I feel like astrids story in nexie really closely reflects how circus baby tricked michael into the scooping room to use his body but instead of putting the endo in the skin suit her body was fitted to the endo. If anything i think it further supports the theory that this was the method used for burntrap, who knows how often they've used this method

Honestly man, all this Mimic stuff is cool but I gotta say it's all so exhausting. Most of the evidence for these theories seems more like damage control than actual parallels to what they had intended for the games. Not like you can do much about it so I don't blame you for making the videos of course, you've gotta work with what you've got but I feel like the FNAF Theory community has been put in the same spot as DBZ Power Scalers: Trying to make sense out of absolute nonsense because that's all there is to go on.
I thought we already knew that is William body over top of an endoskeleton and that vanny did it to make him alive again.

Nice theory, i still wanna think mimic/burntrap/glitchtrap is still Afton but let’s see where the books takes us. Also I think that the characters of the books, are meant to be anonymous in the games and do not give too much detail to the overarching story
Have you seen Fuhnaffs most recent theory on how burn trap was made 3 weeks ago? I know both of your guys’s theories don’t align with one another I do think that what Fuhnaff said about baby is really important. Maybe you can look into it and explain how you think that piece of info aligns with your timeline?

Burntrap's eyes are black because he is partly possessed just like animatronics of FNAF1 that normally have white eyes but sometimes their eyes are black with white iris

I feel like this is a strong theory, but who would be in control of burn trap? William or the mimic? Either way, the mimic wouldn’t be able to recreate Aftons behavior, since the mimic never met him and learned his behaviors. Basically, I’m asking if you know a way that the mimic would know aftons behavioral properties.

It's likely that Vanny took one of the other mimics created by Mr. Renner then used most of the remnant from her victims and that's how she created Burntrap/Afton.

I think the mimic may play a role in rebuilding and reviving afton but I’m not convinced mimic is the villain. I personally think it’s still afton. Good video on the topic, can’t wait to see the mimic in the movie.

While I do disagree with the idea that Henry made the Mimic (I personally think the Tales books are canon to the games), I’m still not sold on Kelly being the corpse in Burntrap. This theory perfectly explains my reasoning, and also perfectly explains how the hell a corpse could even BE on Burntrap. Great work as always, Rye!
I have an idea of what they’re gonna do. In Ruin, they’ll kill Gregory, destroy the pizzaplex and then say “oh we wanted to explore some of these unsolved mysteries but we didn’t have the time for them in the games so we explored them in the books” and that’s why the books will be canon. If they actually wanted to use these characters again I doubt they would do these massive reveals like Gregory being P46 or Kelly being Burntrap in the books, they would surely save them for the games.
Random point but I just saw a video abt little secrets in fnaf sb and one of them is that the endos use the same animations as Roxy and Chica... Could it be bc theyre the new mimics or just a coincidence?

Mimic actually came out of nowhere because in FNAF AR, thanks to Springtrap's voice lines, it's very clear that it's the same William who got stuck in UCN.
For me I’m the opposite. I was relieved when the mimic thing came out because Afton coming back AGAIN felt cheap, and at that point he was no longer mysterious or frightening as a villain. His character arc coming to an end in UCN, in a personal hell, felt very fitting and satisfying as an end to his story, and to me it would be a bad move to undermine that just to bring him back because they have no better ideas for a villain. The mimic is at least more creative, even if I do think it is a retcon because people were so sick of Afton coming back since (as I think) it’s a disservice to the resolution the story reached in condemning him to the UCN hell. Everyone is totally entitled to feel their own way about it, but I am for sure on team “Afton Stays Dead”. He got what he deserved, now leave the demon to his demons.
I have a theory about ruin. Remember when we use the elevator to get down to the fnaf 6 pizzeria the elevator says it can only be used once because of its disrepair. So my theory is that Gregory is still in the Pizza plex because he couldn't get out using the elevator and that's why we see him asking for help from Cassi.

theory: what if burntrap's corpse wasn't afton's? it doesn't look anything like the last 2 afton corpses so maybe it was a failed attempt of glitchtrap mind control or it's like henry's or michael's?

I 1000000% agree with you also i want to add that it do not seem Scott style to give us clear answeres on BIG lore explication in a book series insted of the accual game. I mean in the past we had to decod stuff, serch colours, serach Scott copyright issue when it comes to sister location. Scott force us to think and to come out with theories for a fun time but him saying 'burntrap is a random girl and mimic program' it do not feel right to me or right with the last yers of Fnaf analazing in general.

the PSA is well warranted, the amount of times certain theorists slander other creators for not sharing their exact views, and just are generally rude, it’s bad both for everyone’s mental, but also so bad for theories :(
there are lots of links between the books and games but it’s not 1:1 in every way YET, just lots of overlap

I'm less and less convinced that the mimic even exists in the game timeline, i get trying to pull William off the field but the mimic doesn't feel like a clean solution anymore. I think it just might be a completely divergent story.

As someone who is trying to become a theorist in the community I definitely agree that all of the talks about the books being "confirmed" are more harmful than good. Even talking about the books potentially not being canon or being canon can start an argument. It creates this animosity because let's face it, neither side wants to be wrong about the books. Those who read the books want their time to be rewarded so they want the books to be considered confirmed canon, but those of us who haven't read the books or just fell off them would rather be able to ignore them and mainly focus on the evidence presented in the games. But if the books are ever confirmed now they have to read books they don't like to have the lore told to them instead of figuring it out themselves. It's a no-win situation so I'm glad that one of the most reliable theorists out there is taking the more neutral stance of "they may be canon, may not be" and examining the evidence from both viewpoints

As I expected - great theory, I love the ideas, it makes sense. lso about Burntrap's eyes, I don't think it's so literal, it's metaphorical darkness, all ideas the same, but those eyes are just missing the white casing around them, btw, there is actually casing for those on the model yet it's 1 pure white and 1 dark, no iris.

isn't it kinda the point that burntrap/springtrap/whatevertrap is like... A fusion between a human and an animatronic ? (my dude litteraly has been crushed alive by a springlock furry costume, fusing stuck with it in the process)
Imo, someone fanatical enough to follow Glitchtrap instructions remade the springlock incident with a victim in a kind of weird ritual intended to bring it back through a new vessel filled with remnant/agony (wich is required for an inanimated object to host a spirit in universe) using a victim as a catalyst. (notice the springlock endoskeleton parts scattered on the suit (notably in the chestpiece)
Also afton corpse is def out of game, bodies technically not tough enough to survive fire.
