There is something about the 90 - 94 Pavarotti where his voice was at its most beautiful. The high C was not there anymore and his voice had darkened but he compensated as his voice aged from the ringing tone of his youth to a more rounder smoother sound. Beautiful legato. There will never be a tenor like him again.
