Many things are blessed for us. Mere decades ago, Pluto was nothing but a blurry patch. Now i have a high resolution wallpaper of the breathtaking "mountain" plains of Pluto. For me Placido Domingo is the unsurpassed vocal champion of opera tenors followed by the immense Pavarotti. Bocelli is in a different category in my opinion. Beautiful of course but no comparable mastery.

Nothing you wrote can save the fact that Dimash has a strange passage between registers. Dimash when he changes from a low note to a much higher note that looks like someone else singing, this transition is not good. I've heard several people say something like "The first time I heard Dimash, I thought it was a man imitating a couple singing, like low notes for men and high notes for women. I found it strange to be honest". And that really is the impression that a lot of people have hearing Dimash singing. Besides the fact that his voice is shrill ... Pavarotti's voice is more consistent and powerful! I think it's an endless discussion ... It is no wonder that Pavarotti is considered one of the greatest singers in the history of music. Dimash is overrated. He is great? Yes. But he is not a phenomenal singer like Pavarotti. Try to watch Pavarotti's videos when he was younger. The control of his voice is monstrous. It is such a loss to the world of opera that Luciano is no more. 😭 This duet is one of my absolute favourites, as Andrea's voice really is a great contrast to Lucianos. A great performance of them both.
Brilliant performance. I understand why Pavarotti is Bocelli’s role model. Bocelli has a strong, melodic voice that is pleasant to the ear and Pavarotti has a strenuous, powerful voice that even the deaf can hear. They complemented each other beautifully.

Very interesting display of vocal powers. During that last run,Pavarotti would go high and Bocelli would go low,then they both switched it to Bocelli,high and Pavarotti Low. Both being gracious to the other.
Remember seeing bocelli when he was just discovered, and have listened to him ever since. Saw pavarotti at the coliseum near cleveland -- my dear mom had passed away, so I took my dad to see and hear him. So glad to have been there with my dad. It was wonderful. My dad passed away not too long after, and unfortunately that fantastic venue was torn down for no reason at all...

What I would say, in Bocelli’s defence, is he is relatively young here. Opera singers hit their true potential in their later years. I think he’s got more power to his voice nowadays and he looks physically more relaxed and less strained in his delivery.
You know it’s a masterpiece when even though you don’t understand a word it still gives you shivers and makes you cry because it’s so beautiful. Two of the most amazing singers of all time came together and blessed us with this.
Andrea is spectacular, but when Luciano opens his mouth something absolutely magical happens. No one has ever been so effortlessly brilliant as him. Just look at them. For Luciano singing is just as easy as breathing.

Yes Bocelli tends to lean on his "nose" especially in lower sequences, so i hear the difference in technicality even though he has beuatiful tone.
Remember seeing bocelli when he was just discovered, and have listened to him ever since. Saw pavarotti at the coliseum near cleveland -- my dear mom had passed away, so I took my dad to see and hear him. So glad to have been there with my dad. It was wonderful. My dad passed away not too long after, and unfortunately that fantastic venue was torn down for no reason at all...

What I would say, in Bocelli’s defence, is he is relatively young here. Opera singers hit their true potential in their later years. I think he’s got more power to his voice nowadays and he looks physically more relaxed and less strained in his delivery.

Andrea is spectacular, but when Luciano opens his mouth something absolutely magical happens. No one has ever been so effortlessly brilliant as him. Just look at them. For Luciano singing is just as easy as breathing.
