Hi, Appreciate the feedback. I know it is a well talked about subject on the owner's club and I cannot explain how much of a difference the arm rest makes! Stay tuned and I will get an arm rest video filmed as soon as possible. Thank you, - Drew
Bought a facelift leather steering wheel from the breakers yard. Perfect condition. As I'm staff. Cost £6 airbag is the same. Win win. Rev counter next.
😮 that's a bargain! I thought the airbags were different? I was shopping around on ebay and the steering wheels are pennies for the facelift and the 108, but the airbags are around £100! - Drew
Looks great considering! I'd be shit at stitching, think my city car (108 allure) is already leather if i remember rightly (cba to go outside and look) but defo worth it.
😂 your 108 more than likely is leather already. I hated the plastic feel of my 107 so for the very little money it cost, this is one of my favourite mods to do to these citybugs. Thank you for watching! - Drew
Pretty impressive and seems a very cool guy - thanks for the vid … but the honest bit - 3rd party mods are nearly always naff and minging in my experience. Much better to just accept the naked factory car as is
Thank you for the kind words! 🙏 Don't get me wrong, it was a £9.xx part, so it's never going to feel OEM. But I really hated the very plastic feeling steering wheel, and I personally thought this was a nice upgrade without changing the steering wheel etc. - Drew
Citreon c1 and hills / junctions help needed! I stalled really badly knocking my confidence a bit and I panicked as I couldn’t get it going .. I had the revs set quite high and slowly releasing the clutch but stalled again 🥲😩🙈 feel so embarrassed (do have P plates on) I’m fine generally driving it , just coming to a complete stop / and hills I’m not used to setting such high revs and high clutch bite compared to what I learned in
The C1/107/Aygos naturally have a higher clutch biting point than a lot of cars, so it can take a while to get used to if you hve learned to drive in a different car. I am part of a few owners clubs and they all say the same, you are not the only one who struggles, believe me! All I will say is that it is all down to practice. Everybody stalls, just stay calm, handbrake on, and start again. Once you get used to the itches on them, they are fantastic little cars! - Drew
Hi, I believe they are the perfect little city cars. I know of a few people that have owned them and say reliability has been great. My 107 has been in my family for around 10 years and apart from wear and tear items it hss been faultless. As lkng as they have been looked after (serviced regularly) they are great. The main issue they seem to suffer is water leaks ibto the interior. But these are hard to detect when buyij and don't cost a great to resolve anyway. Thank you for watching. - Drew
Thank you! I really dislike the plastic steering wheel and couldn't believe how much it ruined the driving experience. A simple mod such as this one can change the entire drive! Thank you for watching! - Drew
Any chance if you know if the newer models' (mk2) steering wheels would actually fit straight into a mk1 55 plate c1? I just want steering wheel controls for the new stereo i've put in. Or if you know any steering wheel control mods that are easy to do?
Hi, I believe they are a direct swap (fitment wise) but they do require a secific wiring harness to allow the buttons on the steering wheel to work. They are not just plug and play wiring wise. Thanks. - Drew
@@sollywelch You guys have inspired us to do more with the 107. The City Bug community is possibly the best I have come into contact with! Keep it up guys! Thanks again for watching/supporting. - Drew
I was wondering if anyone would notice! Ummm it's actually a bicycle seat cushion cut up to fit the door card 😂 Literally went through my shed to see what I could make work. - Drew

Unfortunately yes. My door seal appears to be leaking slightly and there is a slight leak in the boot. Have you got any leaks? Thank you for watching. - Drew
@@accelerateyoutube Appreciate the reply! love the mod vids for the citybugs, but I'm currently looking for one to buy as my first car and have noticed that almost all owners experience leaks as the main concern
@@swagg049 - Yes, it is almost a certainty that leakages will occur sooner or later. The bean counter design, says so. Although the good news is that ALL the potential leakage points and there are many. Are incredibly easy/fast and cheap to correct. As an example, rear brake light took about 5 minutes and a small blister of silicone. Which served for many other points (antenna aerial, screws on rear door glasses, gas spring on rear hatch) and I still have some left over. Rear doors and respective glasses and the rear hatch they all took the same D shape self sticking rubber profile. That I got quite cheap from Ebay, for reference item no. 264465450425. Still have plenty left over... BTW might be worth mention not all of these points were already leaking in my car. But you know the saying "an ounce of prevention..." So before they do leak, I took care of them . ;-)

What did you do for the door handle trim and other trims, with turning them black

Just a lot of spare time 😂
