- In this video I'm answering a question from one of you, my viewers! Reading from Psalm 127, I'll address whether striving is negative or positive. It depends on who or what you are striving for and whether you are relying on your own capabilities or depending on the Lord's strength. The truth, according to this Old Testament scripture, is that God gives His beloved sleep. So if you're striving while anxious, make sure you are following the call of God and don't labor in vein. I was just diagnosed with a heart condition. I've been searching on RUclips for anyone that has shared their story so I can calm down and not be so anxious about it since everywhere I read seems to point out this leads to cardiac arrest. Then I started thinking that I'll share my journey and instead of worrying and being anxious about it, I'll trust the Lord. I came across this video and it was the absolute most perfect timing.

Ive been suffering from anxiety and depression for 3 years after a huge panic attack.. There were a few months awhile back when it started to diminish only for the sensations to start up again.
The past few months have brought on some big and scary changes in my life. From heart surgery.. countless doctors appointment.. and setting boundaries with certain family members that were only (no pun intended) breaking my heart.
I’ve always relied on other to help me get out of panic attacks or help me with everyday things like going to the grocery store. I’ve limited my life so much it’s become SO small.
For awhile I’ve been working on relying on myself and God and the strength he’s givin me.
I’ve been trying to think of a word that really speaks to me in this new season of life.
For the past week I’ve been thinking about flowers and matthew 6:28-29 and how they always grow every spring.
And I think my word for the year is “grow” growing through the hard parts of anxiety and realizing how resilient God has made my mind and body. And how I want to keep growing in his love to where anxiety and worry no longer control me

I’ve also been struggling with anxiety/depression since 2016 and man when it first hit it was bad. I’d have these visions/delusions that I was jumping off a bridge or my car was going to crash in a pole, shaking constant crying. I went to a psychiatric hospital and because of that I couldn’t get into my dream college. I stopped believing in God at that point. but now I have full trust in Him. I realized that God was using my anxiety to keep me safe. He knows I would have not made it at that college and it would have DEFINITELY made my mental state worse. The college I am at now(I am graduating this May!) isn’t where I wanted to go, but I know God has me where he wants me. I have met a few Christians on campus and they have helped me grow in faith so much. One got me back on track with the Lord! All things work together for His glory. He will use what you think is bad and turn it into good. I still struggle with anxiety/depression but it is a constant battle. But take those thoughts captive. Jesus has already won the battle. Keep praying. If there is a small group at your church go! Getting involved with people at church is a blessing. You are a child of God never will he leave or forsake you❤️
I pray the lord comes through for me in a mighty way this year. And for whoever else is trusting him for great things🙏🏽 he will get us through.

Sadie, I cant thank you enough for reminding me that God is looking out for his children in every situation. During this time I have had sleepless nights, overwhelming anxiousness, and fear, but I know that the Lord does not put that on us and that it is simply a result of sin. You are such an example to me, even being someone who's the same age as me. Thank you for speaking truth and shining a light, you really are remarkable and unique.
Yesterday a lady was giving a word of encouragement and said, "If the Lord has brought you to it, he will see you through it. If the Lord has called you to act, to serve, to work on a particular thing he will equip you to do it."
This talk about being anxious and worrying hit the nail on the head in follow up to that.

I just started my first full time job on Monday and the adjustment to working full time is really taking a toll on me. I’ve been so anxious about how I’ll find time to do anything besides work and it’s making me hate the job even tho it’s still my first week! This video definitely helped because I know that only God can give me the peace I’m looking for and help me get used to this new routine, instead of me trying to find ways to get off of work early or have a bad attitude. I'm interviewing for a job right now, and I already have anxiety because I remember at my last job how tired I was. I've always been an anxious person, so I suppose that adds to the exhausted element. Good luck on your transition, I'm sure it will become more manageable over time.

I recently been having trouble just staying focused on God. I know He is where I find truth and love, but I find myself in a constant anxious cycle of not being enough. I don't want to focus on this, I want to go back to only caring about what Jesus has done and only do through Jesus, but I can't seem to get this thought of not being enough to go away. It has distracted me from hearing God's messages and being able to just be joyful even though life isn't perfect. I had felt this joy and love months ago, and now I feel this. I just want to break down these barriers and hear and see God clearly.
Can you please keep me in your prayers? Im going through a lot right now. My parents are getting divorced and my dog just got hit by a car Friday night. I love you!

And Sadie, I gotta say even tho I've heard about ur family when I saw a teaching u did on fear, I actually had no idea who u were lol but man did it help me so so much and I love how the Lord will give me so many words for myself and to share and then use other sister's or brothers in Christ to also speak to me or confirm a word he's already given to me but in a new way. But I had suffered for maybe 2-3 months frm something demonic in the spirit realm that I couldn't see that was just torture every single day and night and it was touching me all the time. I just got in Gods word and prayed and only watched sermons and nothing else and just completely focused on the Lord and a month before this happen, He had me deal with my fear so much so, that when this happen I truly wasn't afraid at least not much at all lol... I wasn't gna give it that power over me and the Lord helped me by having me deal with it b4 but I was having the hardest time with it not going away no matter what, and that sermon just beyond helped me! So just thank you so much! And for ur heart and obedience and u allowing the Lord and ur mom help u through ur own fear, so that u can help the way u have for so many more ppl who struggle. And I will say that a beautiful thing came frm all this and that is, that what I had asked for frm God was for Him to teach me in righteousness and man did He! lol I literally watched my every thought, my every word and my every action way more then I even did before and I did before but this was next level since i just wanted to be more like Christ and have this thing leave and I've grown so much closer to the Lord so it's been amazing! I hope ppl see this so they know that Jesus is the Only answer and if u take another way out for spiritual stuff, u may get a result but in the end it only brings death bc Jesus is the Only way and the only way to everlasting life and u can end up with so many more demons if u get temp results bc u open that door for more by doing so. So I stayed focused on the Lord the whole time and even when I didn't see a diff I knew He was with me and He's the only way. And I knew there had to be a reason it wasn't gone yet, and I was right and all the glory and praise is His. 😁🙌❤🕊 I'm free now!! and closer then ever to Him. The scripture about the thorn in Paul's side and having a messenger frm Satan tormenting him and there being a good reason for it, has a very deep meaning to me now. Sadie I needed this so much. I'm in the process of finishing out a really tough, strenuous college career and am about to walk into student teaching. The feelings of uncertainty of where I'll end up, passing my certification exams, getting through these last classes, and giving as much of my time as I can into subbing... all of that has caused me some sleepless nights, early mornings of just waking up out of anxiousness, and honestly just feeling burnt out. Sometimes I get way too caught up in trying to rely on my own capabilities and strength and that's why I'm feeling the way I've been feeling. SADIE!! This was PERFECT timing. I’m planning for my wedding (1 month into engagement!!) and hallelujah it’s a sweet time but I’ve been striving in my own strength and with own vision for planning for it!! Girl, I needed this. Recently I’ve entered my first serious relationship. He’s a wonderful guy who loves the Lord. We both need advice on boundaries and keeping God first.
I just saw your post. I noticed it was written a year ago and I wasn’t going to write anything down but I felt like I should. I just want to tell you that I feel happy that a young woman in 2021 is worried about setting boundaries. I think it is very important to do so by not following society’s guidelines. Don’t place yourself in situations where you will feel tempted such as: your bedroom (or his), in each other’s car at night, be careful of the movies you watch, what you text and the music you listen to. Do Bible devotions with your boyfriend and include God in every aspect of your relationship. I hope that things are working out but if they are not, you can still follow this advice on your next relationship. If you have given in to temptation, then let me tell you that God forgives you and helps you keep your promises to him. He loves you no matter what.

I needed this so badly Sadie. Especially when you mentioned losing sleep - I’ve never struggled with not being able to fall asleep/stay asleep until recently and its been miserable. I’m anxious all the time about everything. It’s like every flaw and wrong-thinking in me is coming to the surface and its been eating me up. Anxiety attacks constantly and panic attacks sometimes - it’s been rough. But I have to remind myself that these things don’t define me. That these mountains and valleys are the Lord’s battle. These things are definitely weaknesses in my life right now, but one day, I believe they will be my strengths and testimonies. So thank you for a good word Sadie 🤍

I recently left a job that was making my anxiety REALLY bad. But I was scared to leave because so many people believed in me and because my boyfriends dad was my boss. I felt like I would let so many people down (my boyfriend, his family, my family, the team). I put so much pressure on myself that I was making myself sick. I had a talk with my boyfriend and we agreed it was too much. I was up early and up late.. working hard and feeling like I wasn’t enjoying it. Like it wasn’t for me and that I had opportunities out there that may not be as rewarding money wise, but mentally. So I left and a week later something better for my mental health came around and I’m already feeling so much better. God pushed me to leave after I asked for so many signs. This helps me realize that I made the right choice for ME. Because lately I’ve been doubting myself a ton. It’s not about the money.... that’s for sure. I now have a good paying job that will get my bills paid and that I can wake up excited to go to. For my teammates that’s how they felt about the job and that’s awesome! For me, I felt lost. I finally found where I want to be. God knows I needed this.
