Kinda funny story but I started playing the game after watching your videos and I had no luck with ultra rares until the middle of my first Jurassos season, and my first ultra rare was an albino desmatosuchus. Since then I've gotten a lot of ultra rares, including 5 melanistics (a gallimimus, psittacosaurus, archaeopteryx, microraptor, and a velociraptor), and an albino protoceratops. Honestly the melanistics are so exciting to spot. Also, it's only a rare but I did get one of the green T-rex variants. Their name is The Melon Lord, Lord of the Melons. :)
Ahh that's so cool! and really interesting, it does kind of feel like after a while the game just throws them at you. I suppose it's nice actually, that it waits before doing so! It'd be so demoralizing to spot these epic rares without the right poppins unlocked Melon Lord is such a brilliant name :D
Hmm, Owynn calling the Parasaurolophus a "paleontological discovery" implies that dinosaurs were prehistoric at one point. More evidence for the idea that this game is set in the future?
I saw TWO Pearl Dilos, missed one, got the other; named him Spooker, then another Dilo; this time Pumpkin Spice. With my Archaeopteryx are Squeaker, Sunfeather, Firestorm and Tigrex. Microraptor is Vanilla Pod. Velociraptors are Lilac and Cocoa Puff lol 😂 too cute all of them
if you save the game the night before the picnic you can make a pile of any flavor. There is no need to feed extra just enough to make a large pile I think it is something like 260 food or something like that also use your no-stars food stars don't increase rarety anyway play the next 3 days no saving the game, no need to take care of your dinos or ranch go directly to the pile look at the dinos take a pic or write it down DO NOT SAVE more to 2nd day same go check go back move to the 3rd day check then reload game to the last save THE NIGHT BEFORE THE PICNIC do it all over again but with different flavor and Prince and repeat with all the flavors if you like that way you see all the picnic offers and you can pick and choose the (day flavor dino) you want beware you might see multiples ultra-rare and you can only choose one so it is hard sometimes

It seems like melanistic is more likely to appear then albino. I've encountered two melanistic styracos and no albinos to date
I am on year 2 and I have found 13 ultra rares, I thought everyone was exaggerating about ultra rares 😂
