not the same at all, but that train part reminded me... there is a road near here, that has the standard "railroad crossing" signs which is usually all they put on smaller roads... but then they added under the "railroad crossing" signs a "yield" sign for each direction, which tells me, that people in the area must have thought the train would stop for them and let them go first, so the city decided they needed to clarify who has to yield. which is both funny, and a bit scary that needed to be explained.
The city should have just let nature take it course.
They would have Darwin-award'ed themselves, and made your area a bit better/safer.

Yep. In Montreal, where I live, we get days in winter where entire neighborhoods get covered in sheets of ice. EVRYTHING; streets; sidewalks; trees; cars; stairs; railings. Forget about going out until the City OR the property owner puts the street salt down.

Yeah; I can attest to that, about the Sea Gulls. When I was in High School there was a KFC just up the street and kids would go for lunch every day. But the sea gulls would eat for free. As soon as you put your box of food down they'd swarm it. And sometimes they'd swoop in even when it was still in your hand.
