    I got my math wrong because I forgot to multiply by 100! (It’s been a long day, please forgive me) The correct percentages are:
    1.23% of people in the company are qualified for/on the Vegas trip
    0.03% of people in the company are in the MDC
    Sorry sorry! 🙏🏼

    • @AChickandaDuck
      @AChickandaDuck 2 года назад +26

      1.23% is still pretty abysmal!

    • @owngrownco
      @owngrownco 2 года назад +20

      Either way.. when she said "everyone in this room could be here" I did some quick math of my own.
      4000 attendees is about 51 times 76 (the number of MDEs). So since money goes up through the pyramid and requires more market partners to put more people at the top, it would stand to reason the number of market partners should grow about 51 times in order for all 4000 people to hit the MDE soo that would require around 16 million market partners..
      Obviously there are other factors but just had to illustrate how ridiculous that claim is.

    Even when my terrible call center 9 to 5 that paid me only 11.50 an hour as a trainer (I ranked the same as a supervisor) sent us on a trip that had travel time, air fare, hotel, car rental, and all meals completely paid for. The time I spent doing work activities like conferences was considered on the clock and was paid for. This "free trip" is definitely not the flex they think it is.

    Just to add an example from the dreaded 9-5 world, my sister was a sales manager for a hotel chain and surpassed her sales quota by a lot one year. Like by 200% or something crazy. So every year the hotel chain rewarded the group of top salesmen in the company with a reward trip to a 5 star hotel in Cabo, all expenses paid with a guest. And this was not a work trip, it was strictly a reward for their hard work. The only thing I paid for was to park my car at the airport (and I was the plus one!)
    The huns try to make it seem like the corporate world could never provide the rewards and lifestyle that their mlm does, but its just not true.

    • @caissafrass6631
      @caissafrass6631 2 года назад +19

      Yeah, my company does something similar. The top few salespeople from each region every get to go on an all expenses paid trip as a reward, with a plus one. It’s a really fun trip, we did one hotel Miami this year and it was basically, well, what monat claims it’s trips are. Except real - and we didn’t have to work during it

      💯 my mom was a HOUSEKEEPER at a 5 star hotel in San Francisco. As part of the company’s year end party (before the pandemic), they gave away gifts via raffles and rewarded their top employees. My mom was a top notch worker and was gifted an all-expense paid trip for 2 to Hawaii:, flights, hotel, food, transportation- all included.
      An MLM could never 🤣

      Yes, this is super common in actual sales jobs! My husband (who also works from home and sets his own schedule), and his team, exceeded their sales goals and got an all expenses paid trip to a 5 star resort for them and one other person. It wasn’t even a work trip. We just got to go for 5 days and have a vacation for free. Not to mention his company sales kick offs are always in super fun locations, all expenses paid and they get to keep their airline and hotel points. And they do that twice a year. If you need “time freedom” and want to be a salesperson, then just get a real sales job. It is super easy to find remote sales work, and you get a base salary on top of your commission.

    At 30:16 I have to give a correction. The Establishment Clause of the Constitution applies only to State actors. It wouldn't matter whether Monat reps were actual employees of the company or not, they're a private business and can engage in religious expression. However, they cannot discriminate against reps who choose not to engage in religious services sponsored by the company. There's a lot more nuance involved, but generally speaking 1A protections and Congressional restrictions are limited to State actors.

    When you touched on faith manipulation, I remember when my aunt invited us to a Tupperware conference back when I was a kid.
    They hired Gary V (not Gary Vee, I promise), a famous local singer. The thing with Gary is that he is a pop star turned Christian singer. So when the fun party songs stopped, the whole concert suddenly turned into a Sunday worship service. As a kid, I didn't think much about it. But now I realized how a LOT of MLMs use religion as a way to make people stay. And it's especially effective for Christian-dominated countries

    2. Sooooooo you really don’t get that much free time to enjoy your “free” trip.
    3. Didn’t they announce the new flavors at the Director summit? Why is everyone so excited?
    4. Does it ever occur to them that if Monat can afford to have these weekly flash sales with such insanely low prices, that maaaaaaybe they’re getting ripped off?
    5. Didn’t Angelique have like nine Rejuvenique oils on her shelf? That’s your high sales numbers right there. How many bottles does each rep have in their home?
    6. Is she wearing lingerie. Why is she wearing lingerie.
    7. “Team dinner”. Do they have to pay for those? I remember at Mary Kay seminar we had multiple dinner events we had to pay for. And less free time.

    I love how fast you got this video up 🤝🙃 also I can say that unfortunately I was a monat market partner at one point 🥴 and they purposely tell you in trainings to pick a high up director in the company and copy everything they do (on their stories, posts, lives, etc) to replicate their success. Because “you never want to take advice from someone who doesn’t have the level of success you want”. That’s probably why multiple girls were copying that one director’s stories. Honestly embarrassing, and so glad I never listened to this advice. My 500 instagram followers would have been so confused 😂

      Yes, I was going to do that. The first amendment just states that Congress can’t make a law establishing a state religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. It says nothing about businesses combining faith with economic practices, in the same way as the first amendment doesn’t prohibit private businesses from limiting speech on their platforms.
      At the same time, it’s still extremely sketchy, and in my opinion, sacreligious, to use church services as a tactic to sell your product.

A career as a master manipulator...not a boss babe...not a small business owner...a puppet used as a manipulator using God and faith because u can't use logic and facts. It gives actual faith based companies and organizations a bad name. These people that know the truth and know their own struggle with the company and keep that a secret and said God led them to this company should be completely ashamed of themselves. I wonder what people think when then join the company through a friend who used God to reel them in. How do u stay friends with that person after they lied and manipulated u to throw ur money and time away. Sorry for the rant. It's just infuriating all the way around.

    One perspective about the all-inclusive trip thing. I think they often target a lot of women generally passed over for traditional white collar jobs that would provide these all-inclusive trips. A contract 9-5 job or a retail or a part-time job may not provide these trips. So Monat would be trying to give the MPs a level of corporate validation with these events. Love the great explanation as usual!

  • @JennyNichole07
    @JennyNichole07 2 года назад +3

    Just a quick thing from an attorney - the First Amendment "separation of church and state" doesn't apply to non-state actions. Private businesses, private individuals, etc. are free to conduct religious services if they choose to do so. The restriction on the establishment of religion applies ONLY to the government. Monat isn't a state/government actor, so they aren't bound by the First Amendment in that way. A lot of people misconstrue the First Amendment and how it is applied, including what constitutes "free speech." The only entity bound by the restrictions of the First Amendment is the government. So, the government can't host religious services for one faith to the exclusion of all other, but Monat, or any other corporation for that matter, can. It probably isn't common because most professional corporations don't engage in the kind of faith manipulation that MLMs do, but its rarity isn't because the First Amendment prohibits it.

  • @JulieAndersonvideos

    Monat gives out information to MPs knowing damn well its going to be misrepresented. They cover themselves by having a compliance training video that MPs need to watch now (or watch when you renew your MP status.) It's the ultimate in gaslighting. When I was with Monat, Stuart, Monat's scientific advisory board, various leaders would ALL make false claims that would be repeated by MPs desperately posting to social media. And when MPs behaviour is called out, Monat doesn't have their backs. Blames the MPs for making false claims when it all originated with the cultish tactics of Monat itself.
    For example, the origin of the narrative that your hair is detoxing, hair fall is natural when starting with Monat, is on an official pdf I and other MPs were given when I joined in 2017. I still have it. It's called "What to Expect Your First 90 Days" and breaks down month by month how your hair will transform. It's categorized by Month 1, Month 2, Month 3. And says your hair will be detoxing. It's says all the shit you hear MPs still talk about. When I signed up MPs or VIPs I forwarded this info to them, made live videos about it reading directly from it.
    We were also given training videos about how Monat will grow your hair and regrow it.
    Then, once Monat got in trouble for doing that, they gaslit us all. Saying we don't actually grow hair we get your scalp healthy to create an optimum environment...or some bullshit like that. Denied that they'd ever said these things, they danced around the topics with the usual word salad. And this behaviour was emulated by leaders all the way down through the ranks.
    I'd bet money that the social media posts where MPs are talking about Monat winning awards on the slide with the media mentions are 100% from the strategic way the info was presented at Monations. They know exactly how they words will be interpreted, how the MPs will erroneously post on social media, and at the same time cover their asses.
    The confusion is immense and people can't think clearly or see they're making false claims, because they're in a cult. It's a mess. Thank you for your content, antimlm creators are helping me heal.

    My dreaded 9 to 5 has multiple trips throughout the year. During February, we all had to go to Las Vegas for training. As long as you're within the min requirement sales goals for the first quarter, they paid for everything. Since I'm in Arizona, my agency chose to fly simultaneously via Southwest. Every two years we go to a different hotel. This was our first-year post-pandemic, and we stayed at the Paris hotel. My entire cost was $45 to add my husband to our trip because one of the main speakers during dinner was Terry Bradshaw. That was the discounted cost of the dinner (we're talking an over $125 dinner per attendee). We go from Thursday to Sunday. We have conferences and training throughout the day until 6 pm, and then our agency manager would pay for dinner for agents and spouses at some of the best restaurants the first night. The second-night dinner is paid for by our regional manager. The last night, we each go to our area of focus for dinner, and the director for that area pays. My husband was included in every dinner at no cost to me. Our second trip in July or August varies every year. It s relaxing within the USA for you and a guest (spouse or friend) for the top 25% of earners within the company. I've been invited for every one of my 23 yrs with the company. We're going to Yellow Stone this year, and I cannot wait. Our November or December trip is for the top 100 agents per state. I've been to this one 15 times out of my 23 years. Again everything is paid for, and it is a pleasure trip. We have done cruises to Ireland, Italy, France, etc. This year it is New Zealand, and I will work by touch off to make it. I have only paid for my husband's flight for my lobbying trips to Washington DC as it is one of my focus points within the job. They will pay for any upgrade needed to our room so he is comfortable. Some of the other spouses have started to join and while we work our spouses go on whatever pleasure activities they want to do.
