When I saw all the lifer posts after I left, I knew I made the right decision. And I've found a new genuine community through YT channels like this. Thank you.

I'd bet there are some behind-the-scenes Venmo transactions going on as well... similar to rank buying. "Hey hun, come with and I'll cover half the cost of your starter pack."
If they can start somewhere else less saturated, with less of an upline, they probably know they'll all be making more money immediately while knowing it will be easier to recruit so more opportunity for a new downline to the lower levels, can't be hard to sell that move tbh

It always saddens me when I see such beautiful, talented, and intelligent young women being sucked into and victimised by this company. The fact that they have to 'swear allegiance' to their company is both sad and terrifying to me. It definitely goes from being a regular MLM and crosses over into dangerous cult territory. I really do hope that these women find an out and break free of Monat. They definitely deserve better and are worth so much more than this. Shame on these uplines for further victimising their downlines.
It amazes me how much pride these people put into their loyalty, and I say that as someone for whom loyalty matters a lot. Honey, if you're loyal to something that's mistreating you, it's not the flex you think it is - in fact, it's very unhealthy for you. It's not good to publicly announce that you're essentially agreeing to this company doing whatever they want to you, and you'll tolerate it to keep that badge of loyalty. These companies aren't obligated to treat you fairly or decently - they don't even pay you a livable wage. There's nothing that guarantees their loyalty to you. Why must YOU be the one to pledge your life away?
It's interesting to see these people defending their decision to leave saying things like, "friendships shouldn't be conditional" and "do what's best for you and your family", "It's okay to go somewhere else if your not making ends meet"....etc... when it pertained to them. I wonder how many people in their time at monat shamed others for leaving throughout their career in Monat. What happened to the "u just have to work harder", "If it's not working, U need to hussle more!"? So did they not "work hard enough" then? It's funny how the narrative changes when it's convenient for them....

Monat and mlms in general are so scary. I’m someone who gets really attached to people that I think are friends and I hate disappointing people or ending relationships, so if I wasn’t educated through this stuff I might have gotten sucked in

A year ago or so, I listened to a really well-done podcast series on MLMs. They interviewed people positive about them as well as people with bad experiences. The episode on the US government’s attempts to outlaw them and the lawsuits and tricky tactics (like pro-MLM laws with names like ‘Protect Consumers from Predatory Sales Practices’ or ‘Stop all Pyramid Schemes’) MLMs are connected and have political power. :-(
I follow a girl on Instagram who is in Monat, it’s like watching a train wreck.. she works THREE jobs on top on monat… I can’t help but to think it’s to support her “business” because she doesn’t want her “image” to faultier
This also reminds me of when I was in elementary school (80’s) and girl groups would start ‘clubs’and it was just a popularity/bullying kinda thing but back then it seemed like a big deal to an 8 yr old. Lol.

I was honestly so shocked when I saw Monat posted that 😬😅. They need better people running their social media bc that was truly so immature and unprofessional. All companies understand that people will come and go and don’t seem to care bc you know what? Those companies are not pyramid schemes!!! Only pyramid schemes care when people leave bc it’s their only way to survive. Even Walmart who has a super high turn over rate doesn’t care bc they have something that will keep bringing people in: a guaranteed paycheck. When they change from one MLM to a newer one to be higher in the chain, that's how you know they are are not victims. They know exactly how the busnises work. So I don't feel sorry for them when they eventually fail. They are scammers and they know it.
To add: it's also very telling that quite a few of the people who take these pledges of loyalty publicly are in need of validation and praise. I go to therapy because I have this same issue - my own self-validation is low, so I depend a lot on others for it. It is NOT a good trait, and anyone who encourages your cultivation of it is not your friend. It's a severe vulnerability, and you need therapy to examine why wish to be seen as good and loyal by random people.
They definitely take advantage of people in vulnerable positions, and that’s not right. The problem is, it’s not illegal to love bomb someone, tell them you have the solution to their financial woes, tell them they can work around their family commitments, and then abuse and shame them for not working hard enough, and also blame them when they fail.. How many of these reps even think to read the fine print when they sign up? They being deceived to by their up line.They see the designer clothes and purses, and the cars, and the trips, and don’t realize how the up line is also being duped into selling the lavish lifestyle-“Fake till you make it!”, while also purchasing the majority of the product, a product they could buy for $4.99 called Sauve. I’m glad the laws are changing, and they will need to disclose the income disclosures. I’m glad there are people like Hannah exposing how MLMs actually operate, and the harm they are doing. I’m sure she’s an amazing teacher, but if she’d make an amazing lawyer as well. Her break downs are flawless. It’s hard to argue with the facts when they’re laid out so clearly.
I just looked up how many market partners Monat claimed they had (450,000 with 1.5 million VIP customers globally according to Monat Australia) so 1/9 of their “employees” just quit. I know if that happened in my office, the upper echelon would be removed immediately by the BoD. And I’m guessing that 1/9 was mostly Americans. Also, can you imagine that suddenly 1/9 of the people of Earth just disappeared what would happen? It would be chaos.

I remember the manager of the store I used to work in saying he aimed for people to have the ability to leave, but the desire to stay. This was before social media really took off (a few of us were on Myspace but that was it) but I honestly can't imagine any of the management encouraging us to post on our socials about being in the company. I think it depends on your team. My team never pushed me to sell when I didn’t want to. It was a very positive experience 🤷🏻♀️ but I know that’s not the case for everyone! Hannah this is random but I have to tell you this funny story! So I’ve been binging your videos anti mlm for a few weeks now and my boyfriend hears them in the background all the time so I tell him all about it. I even had him watch LuLaRich with me lol. So the other night it was my turn to pick a movie, so I picked Edward Scissorhands, right? Well my boyfriend didn’t recognize the beginning of it so he was like “more MLM stuff?!?!” LOL (not sure if you’ve seen it but one of the main characters is an Avon rep, although that’s not really important to the movie) 😂😂 I had to share!
Imagine if my last supervisor vague posted about me online because I decided to leave lol so unprofessional. I have so many friends from my previous jobs who were happy for me and supportive of my career change. But then again, none of my coworkers had paychecks dependent on me staying there. So it is 100% all smoke and mirrors and manipulation to try to get people to stay in an opportunity that clearly isn't beneficial to them.
You know that part in the Titanic movie where the band kept playing even though they were going down that's what it seems like we are looking at like they're trying to make the most of the sinking ship and have succumb to the idea that they are going to sink. Meanwhile in this situation there are lifeboats they don't have to be stuck but it's going to take a bit of deconstruction to make them see.
So this is the “sisterhood” “the loving and supportive community” they go on and on about?? Even in in the MLM community if you leave and join another company these girls will block and attack you. This “lifer” thing is just laughable when dealing with MLMs. When it’s been proven that they do not care.
With the economy as it is, will it have an effect on mlms? People are struggling with the rise in prices & having to make choices as to how they spend their monies. Most mlm products are expensive and are not a need, maybe this could be the end mlms, one can only hope. Love your channel, keep up the good work.

I think all of this is very interesting because I work for an actual company that does value loyalty. We have plenty of associates who have been with the company for over 35 years. That being said, it is not culty if you choose to leave for a better opportunity. I'm proud that I've been able to remain in a position that is mutually favorable for me and my employer, but if that changes, thankfully I'm not in a cult.
These shampoo people are... intense. So much so, that I'm starting to side-eye all brands of shampoo haha. The "shampoople" have given me a shampoo complex now!

I just looked up how many market partners Monat claimed they had (450,000 with 1.5 million VIP customers globally according to Monat Australia) so 1/9 of their “employees” just quit. I know if that happened in my office, the upper echelon would be removed immediately by the BoD. And I’m guessing that 1/9 was mostly Americans.
Also, can you imagine that suddenly 1/9 of the people of Earth just disappeared what would happen? It would be chaos.

Lol, I remember commenting on Savannah's video about Monat "lifers" and said that the very thing that came to my mind was indentured servitude or Scientology's billion year contracts.
I remember the manager of the store I used to work in saying he aimed for people to have the ability to leave, but the desire to stay. This was before social media really took off (a few of us were on Myspace but that was it) but I honestly can't imagine any of the management encouraging us to post on our socials about being in the company. Culty stuff!

I think it depends on your team. My team never pushed me to sell when I didn’t want to. It was a very positive experience 🤷🏻♀️ but I know that’s not the case for everyone! Hannah this is random but I have to tell you this funny story! So I’ve been binging your videos anti mlm for a few weeks now and my boyfriend hears them in the background all the time so I tell him all about it. I even had him watch LuLaRich with me lol. So the other night it was my turn to pick a movie, so I picked Edward Scissorhands, right? Well my boyfriend didn’t recognize the beginning of it so he was like “more MLM stuff?!?!” LOL (not sure if you’ve seen it but one of the main characters is an Avon rep, although that’s not really important to the movie) 😂😂 I had to share!
Imagine if my last supervisor vague posted about me online because I decided to leave lol so unprofessional. I have so many friends from my previous jobs who were happy for me and supportive of my career change. But then again, none of my coworkers had paychecks dependent on me staying there. So it is 100% all smoke and mirrors and manipulation to try to get people to stay in an opportunity that clearly isn't beneficial to them.
I can't wate to see what happens to all these "lifers" when the company goes down.

You know that part in the Titanic movie where the band kept playing even though they were going down that's what it seems like we are looking at like they're trying to make the most of the sinking ship and have succumb to the idea that they are going to sink.
Meanwhile in this situation there are lifeboats they don't have to be stuck but it's going to take a bit of deconstruction to make them see.
So this is the “sisterhood” “the loving and supportive community” they go on and on about?? Even in in the MLM community if you leave and join another company these girls will block and attack you. This “lifer” thing is just laughable when dealing with MLMs. When it’s been proven that they do not care.
With the economy as it is, will it have an effect on mlms? People are struggling with the rise in prices & having to make choices as to how they spend their monies. Most mlm products are expensive and are not a need, maybe this could be the end mlms, one can only hope. Love your channel, keep up the good work.

I’m so proud of you and your channel. Not that my opinion matters but I’m giving it anyway. You are a beautiful intelligent woman who is easy spoken and have a nice calm voice to listen to. Thank you for keeping us up to date. I really hope Monat reps don’t go under but I would like to see the company go under, hope that makes sense.
I think all of this is very interesting because I work for an actual company that does value loyalty. We have plenty of associates who have been with the company for over 35 years. That being said, it is not culty if you choose to leave for a better opportunity. I'm proud that I've been able to remain in a position that is mutually favorable for me and my employer, but if that changes, thankfully I'm not in a cult.
These shampoo people are... intense. So much so, that I'm starting to side-eye all brands of shampoo haha. The "shampoople" have given me a shampoo complex now!
I don't get why every MLM person has to join several mlm companies. If it doesn't work, clearly there's something thats not working. Why can't they learn to quit and move on? Unless they're happy being scam artists and jumping from business to business.
