I love your videos giving an insight of this awful autoimmune disease and how it impacts your baby. I too have a fifteen year old who has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes five months ago. Thankfully he is doing better now. Watching your videos shows me how a small child and her parents deal with type 1. You are a superb mom who has been through a lot and I pray God give you patience, strength and preservence in this journey with your baby.
@@shadownightyoutube2422 Well she was loosing a lot of wait and eating less so they took her to the hospital bc I think she was throwing up and that when the found out she had T1D. She also posted it on her YT and Tik Tok!
No puedo imaginar cuán difícil y complicado es para Addie y su mamá tener que pasar por esta situación todos los días! Un abrazo lleno de Bendiciones para las dos! 😔😪❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🌹
This seems so so hard for both you and Addy.. you're doing SUCH an amazing job! I would've started crying with Addy if I was there... takes a really really strong mom to do this every day! Sending lots of love and prayers for you all
She can’t cry with addie. That would terrify her even more. Mom’s have to hold those feelings in until their child isn’t in front of them anymore. When I go through all my medical stuff I know it hurts my mom too but she tries not to show it in front of me or that would make it harder and scarier for me.
Awwwweee she is so precious and what an amazing mommy you are!!!!!! I feel for you having to do that nothing worse then knowing your baby has to go through that 😢
I love how you empathize with her. You totally understand how hard it is for her. Such a good mamma❤️ I love watching your videos because you are so refreshing.
Sending love and prayers to Addie to you! I hope you feel better soon, In that case if she gets older she will be the bravest kid I know. Your the best Addie! Be braver as you can!
I wish so much sweet little Addie didn’t have to go through this and I also wish you didn’t either as her mother. It takes a strong person to do this, especially when it’s hard.. sending prayers for your families healing!
2 Thoughts: 1 - insert air into the insulin vial before filling syringe, you will have less air bubbles. 2 - while activating the new pod, pinch up and press down, this will take most of the sting out of the inserting process. Great job Mom!!
she knows. she’s been doing this since her daughter was an infant. this situation was unique in the sense that Addy didn’t have the patience to withstand the process this time around, so her moms focus was on soothing her. that’s all.
Hey honey, I'm so sorry you guys have to manage this. It must be awful for you both. I really hope it gets easier as she gets older. You're a strong mama 💟
Your an amazing mum you handle that so well every single time and I think your doing the best job with what you have to do that you can and I think addie will grow up knowing her mummy did what she had to do to keep her well and never meant to hurt her 😉
Our little started wearing pods at 15 months old. She's 6 now. It does get better but she still doesn't like the clicking of the activation. Hugs to you all!
My heart broke seeing her sad and crying like that 💔 poor baby. Great job mama! You're so patient with her. You both make a great team ❤️❤️❤️ get well soon lil one.
You are a very caring, gentle, and reassuring mama. Addie is so lucky to have her help fight ths aweful Autoimmune Condition that there is no cure for. Hoping that you see better results with the Omnipod 5 now that your are looping. I loop with the Dexcom G6 and Tandem T:Slim X2 and have managed to get my A1C down from 9.2% to 5.6%. Love watching your videos. Would love to see a video on the likes and dislikes of the Omnipod 5 after a month of being on it.
Sweet baby girl, unfortunately at that age they don't know why you have to do what you do. I've been living with and autoimmune connective tissue disease which is multi organ with a whole host of body wide problems. Along with the tendons ligaments, some bone abnormalities, some blood vessel abnormalities, within all the organ systems anything above that is intertwined with tendons, blood, muscles is not right. It's called Ehlers Danlos and that's just one of the 5 chronic diagnosis.
She couldn’t wish for a better mom! You’re being very gentle and predictable and therefor safe. Eventhough you are going to cause some pain. I think it is a great idea to use a special designated place to change the pod. That way she can feel safe in the rest of the house. Very important! But the best of all, imo, is that you give her time and you don’t sneak up on her and press it abruptly! And maybe it can help her if you tell her the pain just takes 5 minutes and then it will be gone again. Of course 5 minutes doesn’t mean anything, as it might be seconds or 2 minutes. But she’ll learn 5 minutes are just a short time and after this short time she will be okay again. And you can use the same words when she falls or bumps herself. She’ll know that she will be fine. I am so sorry she and you have to go through this. Big hug for you❤
It's a pity that little girl has to go through all this just to get better every day. I get this sensational pain while watching the video. Sending sensational hugs and kisses 😘❤️
Yes and the government has a cure but aren’t sharing it. They make so much money off of diabetes that they aren’t willing to give it up. I can’t imagine how kids suffered before dexcoms, pods and insulin pens. Our government needs to prioritize getting these cures out there but they selfishly sit on them. Recently america even admitted that they have had cures for several chronic illnesses but aren’t sharing it.
Essa criança é muito linda, corta meu coração de ver ela tendo que passar por isso todos os dias, mas Graças a Deus bela tem uma mãe amorosa que cuida dela com o maior carinho
i’m 19 and had diabetes since i was 3 so ik how she feels 😂 however i found a way to hurt less or not have any pain at all what i suggest is if it hurts you should try turning the pod the other way round so the needle is aiming towards her shoulder and grab the inner part of her arm and push as much fat as possible towards the pod it should hurt less or even not have any pain at all. hope that helps 😊
Would headphones distract her? I'm sure you have thought of everything. Let her finger-paint her arms or legs? Poor baby. Give her a puppy? Or kitten. Your a good mommy.
When she’s sick that’s when she needs it the most glucose levels go up when sick and even if she’s not eating …. She needs her insulin as an RN it’s vitally important to stay on insulin her schedule ❤
Oh that was a hard sad one your such a strong mama it be so hard to do but I know u have no choice it's life or death with that and u gotta do it but oh it be so hard good job mama your amazing
I don’t know if this is a good idea - or not, or could make it worse in the long run? I don’t know….. But,you know when she’s poorly and struggling? Could you put some emla cream ( numbing lignocaine cream) on before the change, if you know where it’s going to be placed? I’m not medical - I just wondered if it could help!
Poor baby. Feeling sick is never fun and to have to do that makes it worse. Sending lots of hugs and love! You’re a rockstar kiddo!
She was crying probably because she was sick she did look depressed I hope she feels better 😊

Lol I'm 17 and diagnosed at age 3 immediately after ammonia in dka I had to have 1-3 whole bags of insulin and water
I love how Addie's Momma doesn't just do it she will wait and help her. Great job!! Feel better Addie and Momma!
How did she get diabetes

@@shadownightyoutube2422 it’s not a virus it’s where the body produces little to no insulin which causes blood sugar to be crazy
I put captions on and when she talked it caption it as musci

Every 2 to 3 days you mean. That’s how often you change the pods.
❤ poor baby! 😢🥺 stay strong little one, and mommy too !! Sending lots of hugs!! 🤗🤗

@TheWoodland12 Yes, of course I understand that point.. I was just saying it's hard for any person let alone the mother.
I love how patient and gentle you are with her ❤️
The pain is in her head and heart. Who can blame her? The back scratches are magic.
I’m sick too and want everyone to just leave me alone, poor baby!! But…this too shall pass. You are amazingly patient!
Poor baby 🥹
I hate when our little ones get sick I wish we could just take their pain away....hope All of you get better soon 🙏🧡🙏
