The interesting facts is that they all represent different nationalities: Pelageya is Russian from Siberia, the dark haired lady Elmira Kalimullina is Tatar by origin, the other blond lady is Maria Goya - she is Ukrainan and finally the male singer Anri Gogniasvili is Georgian. The song tells about a wouded cossack who is dying on the bank of river under the green willow tree. The raven the soldier is talking to, sees a good piece of meat to be eaten.

The “new wife” the Cossack talks about is death. He tells the raven to tell his wife he has died by saying he married death under the willow, married by the weapons that slew him.
This is a song of the Cossack people, who lived in a region that is now modern day Ukraine. Because of their location they were subject to frequent invasions and thus many of their songs are about war and grief.
