Those male lions are truly enormous. Wow! And the manes; dark and so thick. What a sighting. Thanks to you all at Tintswalo, it's much appreciated that I can spend some time w some African lions from 13k KM away. 🦁❤
I'm so grateful for these amazing Virtual Safaris, especially this one with the legendary Mbiri males with their natal pride, which is very interesting as it raises the question about who is the actual father of the cub. All the potential fathers are closely related, Mandevu/Ncila, the Orpen young male and the Mbiri males are all born in the Mbiri pride after all. Anyways, there are some good Virtual Safaris out there, but Tintswalo's easily the best one.
Oooo ZigZag and Shaka, long time havnt see This 2,glad that they look good and healty. This duo is hard like a Stone, i think they are the most long standing duos out there and they are still strong. Really good to see them💪💪
11 years old and Scar Mbirhi still looks as impressive a specimen as any prime male in the Greater Kruger parks. Amazing. The Matimba line has incredible longevity. A true testament to the Matimba name.
Look like Shaka has a droopy lip too nowadays: simply put Shaka is the one with smaller lighter mane, smaller overall by mass (but possibly even taller than his brother, who walks with his head down a lot).
@RuiPFerreira by far dominant since 2017 that’s 8 years reign. Especially them being a very ambitious males always getting in a fight . They’re not supposed to be around for These Long!

@@zone_Magazine_reporter They are nomadic. These 2 brothers have went from pride to pride from location to location for years since like 5-6 years they have few different cubs etc in different prides that they held or fought for that they where a part of for low amount of time but always travelling as 2 nomads no matter where they end up. Then they inflitrated the mbiri pride only like 18months-2 years ago and have settled since that but still travel off and around they dont stay with pride much. from a July 2022 post The dark maned Mbiri male lion might look the worse for wear but he’s doing fine. What was first looking like a broken jaw was actually some kind of abscess that caused his underlip to completely drop from his jaw. Today he’s still one of the most impressive male lions of the Kruger National Park and one of only few lions that has his mane completely wrapped around his elbows.
So here is the interesting thing, we can see that theres no agression from both males towards the cub and neither are the females stressed with the presence of them, so now I got some questions... do they think they are the fathers of the cub? Yes otherwise there would be no more cub. Could they really be? I mean from the lionesses behavior they dont seem to mind their presence with the little one there, they mated with Mbiris thats for sure and they could really be the fathers, the females dont react nervous around Mandevu either so the same argument goes to him, but Mandevu never really left the pride for more than a few months and might still see the cub as part of the pride that he is in and not dominant over even tho he himself mated with the females so in his view cubs showing up out of nowhere is just something that it happends and they are as part of the pride as him, one might say that Mandevu is the dominant male of the Mbiris but besides patrolling territory he doesnt act that much as a territorial male when the Mbiris are around, and Mbiris just act like they are dominant of this pride whenever they want, Mandevu did defend the pride against Red Road and the Nharus but thats about it and with the help of Orpen. I cant really tell who might be the father of this cub, good thing the 3 males have very unique faces and as the cub grows older we might see who fathered it by his face luckly
