I 100% love your gratitude towards your parents. But sometimes even with the best intention we may end up hurting people. Unless they are both old and disabled you doing everything for them actually hurts them, disempowers them and robs them the joy of accomplishing things for themselves. Just like your parents didn't do your homework when you were a kid or let you not do anything around the house. You can show love without being a martyr.
"I've been training martial arts for 21 years of my life and to have lost everything in my ability to walk..man, there was 3 people that helped me: my family, close friends and your videos man" (starts at 1:17:43 ) Had to pause and cry hard for 10 minutes. You're the man Gary!!

Awesome talk Gary you really inspired me with your sentence slow and steady wins because I have always been impatient about achieving my goals therefore never could be consisten and steady in things I wanted to build my life around ( fitness and training ) . Because of injuries I always needed to take time off so I get really dissappointed and sad when I am not able to work as hard and as smart as I can from now one I will be steady and patient because I see that precision beats power and timing beats speed .. Thank you for good advice from my young adults heart :)

Holy shit.. That was a good one.. I was listening to this while working on graphics, editing etc, and had to keep stop doing my work to rewind and REALLY listen again haha.
I like that the interviewer stays QUIET and does not give his own stories or ideas to act as if he is on the same level as Gary.... as so many do. Interviewers do not need to say 'uh huh' or 'sure' or 'of course' or 'I got that'....
He seems to be a little overwhelmed by Gary, but handled it well

I my opinion it is a star platform but still has more potential. I am not expert, but to me it seems like it is reaching a stagnation or saturation point. There is a lot of content and great communities, and somehow I think Google can improve the user experience. That's what I think at least, how about you?
Michael.Mak, I don't have an opinion on it because I'm just starting out, but... it sounds like FACEBOOK and Instagram is the way to go...

Okay, I'm going to give you my opinion now lol. Don't ignore Instagram. I had a bunch of people follow me just because I made constructive or positive comments on their content. I don't even have content posted yet. I asked them to unfollow me because based on their Instagram posts, my sense of humor that I will be using in my posts wouldn't be a good fit for them, ... but I do see how a person could quickly pick up a following by showing some love to others who are interested in whatever subject/product you are creating. Good luck with your business.

The amount of incredible wisdom in this guy, like fuck man, I am speechless, I need to write a full rant about this some day, my brain is fucking melting from all the awesomeness. Fuck!
Laura, if you see this: as an immigrant of a single parent and a fan-turned-hater-turned-fan of Gary (my problem, not Gary's), here's my take on your question:
1) It's hard to grow up seeing the struggles our parents went through for for us to eat a warm meal, to dress well enough to fit in at school, and spend all their money buying steaks for dinner 3 times a week so you can grow as big as the American kids and not get picked on (thanks mom). And it feels selfish and it hurts to even think to put ourselves before them once we're capable of that choice. The first thing you need to do is talk to your mom about how you feel and your aspirations. Don't make the mistake of assuming how she feels or what she would say--that's an imaginary discussion you're having with yourself. If after that conversation you still feel like you need to support your mom, who are notoriously skilled at guilt-tripping, then do what you need to do to sleep at night.
2) You're confusing the question of whether to support your mom financially and the question of whether you have enough to start your thing. If you're supporting your mom then just think of it as another bill or responsibility. Plan accordingly. And iIf you're a fan of Gary's then you must've heard him talk about not being fancy--do what you need to do using the power of the slap of glass, metal, and plastic that is your smartphone in your palm, and exhaust every resource you can first while waiting for the opportunity to build cash. I feel like if cash is the only thing stopping you then there are other flaws in your plan.
Anyway, I'm not financially successful, nor am I experienced enough to think myself wise, but I have achieved the immigrant's American dream: become educated, have a career, and own a home. These are just the ideas I've thoughts to go by, and it's been liberating since I've decided to just accept things as what they are and only change what's within my power and desire. Everything else is noise, and I'd prefer to not let noise affect my dreams. So fuck noise.

51:00 I appreciate Gary's being respectful of what people do with their own bodies, but I am in complete alignment with the direction that Medicine happens to be going in at this particular juncture. Many influencers are hesitant to even speak out it so I respect Gary for stating the obvious. I concur, I'm not putting any of the questionable "medicines" with a dozens of side effects in my body (and I need to stop buying questions food being sold now a days as well!!) Good points Gary!!!

ElefitTV ---What you mean? if you're really honest about giving good advice to people then do that and stop thinking about your following. it will grow if your advice is really good. but even if it doesn't, if you're able to change ten, three or two people's lives it will be worth it. Remember you are not entitled to ANY following.
On the other hand, if you want to grow a business out of that, follow Gary's advice in his books, go all in with Facebook ads and Instagram influencers, work hard, be patient, and stop pondering. Do.

oh believe me, laptops aren't going away for a while, there are still a lot of uses that only a laptop fuck even deskptop like high powered gaming, many apps, convenice in online systems, online multi-tasking and browsing, etc. phones have come a long way but laptops still serve a shit ton obviously. maybe they'll work syngertically, maybe, over sometimes phones will take over. maybe whatever replaces both will take over like VR but it's still in use because it serves a purpose well and that'll remain the purpose
Jj Corbin -- Nothing ever dies. Books aren't dead, TV isn't dead, Radio isn't dead, laptops won't die either... I think he means they'd be replaced as the #1 medium to connect to the internet an do work. But I fully agree with you. They're not going anywhere anytime soon.
