I stumbled on this in my recommended by random but GWAR are a metal band that are pioneers of this type of thing and basically started the idea of masked bands, and never really get the credit they deserve. they’re space barbarians who “kill” people on stage and are very ridiculous and often gross, they started in the 80s and are still around today. they’re not for everyone lol but i think their interview with joan rivers is well worth watching. there’s also a great documentary about them called This Is Gwar
i think i’ve seen a few clips of them online before and thought they were really cool, so i’m definitely gonna check out that documentary and their discog! thank you!
i know this said a lot but if you like concept albums you should listen to my Chemical Romance, like they are some of the most well-thought-out stories made for an album i have ever heard. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge has one of the most straightforward yet imaginative and well-thought-out concept albums i have ever heard, and it's a follow on from their first album (kinda it's werid) bullets.
@@yourfrienddanni dude when i say its as goofy... its literally just the singer went on an @cid trip in the desert and hallucinated a cobra telling him to teach the emo kids how to dance (im mashing up the actual lore with some other quotes rn LOL)
i know the song “i want my sh*t” by icp explores their lore a lot and it’s one of my favs, never heard of del the funkee homosapien tho! i will definitely check them out, thank you!
