the part that surprised me the most about ac6 was just that it was good at launch. i didn't experience any bugs at launch, the game ran beautifully, the story's amazing and the voice actors are all really good. in an era of "launch it broken, fix it later" games, ac6 being polished on release is just such a breath of fresh air
Another best thing about it is the fact that all customization options are just there waiting for you to use them, and not locked behind a paywall
Except for Launch Balteus.

@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 im proud of killing him at launch but yea, it was cancer. i think current balteus could be a bit harder but idk, that might be cuz i replayed balteus mission a lot to rly get the hang of it and cuz i enjoyed the fight

I might have to buy this. Sekiro was a life changing experience for me. The blending of fantasy with real world setting, human setting with inhuman scale... Sekiro tells a story you feel is true, even when you know it's not. I STILL feel enchanted by it, still feel like it's a true story.

9:34 The heals aren't an accessability detail; they're a way to make longer, harder levels, same as resupply checkpoints. The devs can chain a lot more together in a level if they know you'll have the resources to pull it off without undue excessive effort.
They could have given us more repair checkpoints.
I tend to think of the repairs as "redundency systems" but nano-machine packs are equally as viable in this setting.
Not gonna lie, I freaking loved that garage theme. It absolutely took me back in time to Silent Hill 2 and it was pure bliss. Going into AC6 there wasn't a single part of me that thought I'd come out the other end feeling genuinely affected by its story, atmosphere and characters. Absolutely one of the most pleasant surprises of the year and a game that will stick with me in a way I did not expect.

Ofc, I always wish for upbeat memorable melodies in a game, but the ost seems great nevertheless.

I keep hearing people say repair kits made the game easier. And i just have to say I disagree. Your AC has a smaller "immediate" health pool. In previous gens the difference is you would have that health pool with the 3 repair kits health already combined. Repair kits allow for players to get comboed out. And this was the case with attacks like Balteus flamethrower, Sea Spider spinning attack, etc. Whereas if you had all that health at once it would do a lot of damage, sure. But it was usually just a battle of attrition
Yeah if anything it made things slightly harder in my opinion because you have to consciously press a button to use the Repair Kit when you need it and they don't start off that great without OS Tuning. Even then just because you have instant Estus does not mean you can't get murdered before you pop it. Since unlike Estus in Dark Souls which slows you down but still allows you to move, Repair Kits do briefly stop you for the smallest period and you have way less of them than you'd have Estus Charges. Sometimes it becomes less about when to use them and more about forgetting about having them at times because in peak From Software fashion it is super easy to get so caught up in the adrenaline rush that you either forget that you have them or burn them way too quickly.
Funnily enough with the Repair Kits in mind the Health Totals are actually pretty close to ACFA for Medium Builds and up but because you don't get it all at once you don't realize it.
You forgot to mention that Walter's English VA also voiced multiple pilots in For Answer, including Roy Salaand and Patch The Good Luck!
I love the more solemn and bleak soundtracks. I don't want to feel upbeat and energetic in my damn garage. This world is depressing, so the energetic themes are preserved for hopeful and adrenaline-rushing moments like when you meet Ayre or when Rusty fights for Rubicon.
And I love Michigan voice acting. It's not bad for him to sound like a Saturday cartoon because his personality also somewhat similar to that. He's a genuinely good person underneath that drill sergeant stereotype. On the other hand, I've seen some people disliking Carla because she's too generic (according to them) or Ayre because she's too disembodied. I think the only generally bad voice acting are the RLF female soldiers.
A question to old raven coming from a newcomer, is 9ball seraph as notoriously unfair as they say?
To put it lightly, people who think Malenia is bullshit have never fought Nine Ball and then went into next Room to see two of them, barely scraped by with the skin of your teeth and then see Nine Ball Seraph there who can and will probably two shot you if you aren't careful and know what you're doing.
@@Zeromaru42I think Iguazu's final boss is the Nineball of this game, both thematically and practically with his 1st phase being accompanied by 4 LCs, 2nd phase with 2 Sea Spiders, and 3rd phase being a discount Ibis all without healing you
@@cptncutleg Yeah pretty much, at least there you're not fighting with the camera though. I also think that ALLMIND is a little more fair than Nine-Ball because you get somewhat more help overall with Ayre being there even if it does come down to a ridiculously hard 1v1 either way. Now that I think about it ALLMIND's fight is kind of Nine-Ball combined with some essence of Malenia or Maria and thrown into the blender with Zinaida from Last Raven. Starts fighting suspiciously like Nine Ball Seraph in the Final Phase as well with the Mobility and the main difference being that unlike Nine-Ball ALLMIND is very in tune with the Malenia or Maria fast paced flow of the fight. Especially in the last third of the fight where Iguazu starts throwing out wide and sweeping attacks that make it so you're dodging and counter attacking near constantly.
My ONLY problem with AC6 is thr boss dynamic, like the stagger thing. And how busted they can be
For the english voice acting its what I expect from mecha games. So I usually switch to japanese voice language
yeah armored core and Lies of p has the only games that put hope on my expectations from games on future this games is not a marketing baint or a critics bland "10/10" games hope for more in the future.

I adore this game
the only dislike i have with ACVI is the lack of weapon overlap or adjustability. The zimmermans were solid for short range, but were slow to reload. As far as i know the bubble blower is the only "shoulder autocannon" so mid-range kinetic is gone. I hope something similar comes soon to the game.
I would love to see them reintroduce some of the older style of parts or mechanics if they have DLC coming. I'd like to see the scale that the new gen of employees will reach on stolen wings. This is a power fantasy that the whole family can enjoy, as long as you can use a controller.
