The original DS intro is absolutely unbeatable - both of them (music and video). I recently took my PS3 out of the closet and I'm playing DS again like in the old days :-) The original DS is a f****** Masterpiece. I'm not saying the remake is bad, but it's definitely different. Wow, that detail on Astrea's dress as a source of the plague bablies. Always noticed the bloody patch on her and felt there was some miscarriage suggestion to add to her despair but her producing all these is so dark. Could be a side effect of harbouring a demons soul and taking on the ailments of the area. Great stuff.

BluePoint completely missed the point of the original design choices.

I got a big Led Zepplin complation album the xmas i got this game, and must say, Achilles Last Stand is the perfect music to listen to as you play this level. A fast wind fueled tune, perfectly complimenting atmosphere and gameplay as you besiege this ancient castle. Even the lyrics are about paganism being left behind in the modern world. It's just so... fitting.

The only reason why the choir sounds more upfront in the original mono mix is because everything is in just 1 channel. Give me the stereo mixes anytime! But including the choir of course. Otherwise its an insult to the great late Basil Poledouris.

This game is legit my favorite Super Nintendo game. I cant believe I forgot how good it was. The 3rd atage is my absolute favorite with all the clinging to poles and climbing walls. I would love to see a boss like the one in that stage. It was SO cool.

I have 5 versions of DeS ps3 version. I've made at least twenty walkthrough. I've the ps5 remake version too. I started it and I play it to the first boss. Than I quit. I finished with this shit. Garbage!

There's unique corpses for the defiled ones, but there are also regular human figures use, which obviously portrays a battle (With the humans being the losing side). And the regular corpses being the ones dropping the faith related materials, so maybe these corpses are either the party that accompanied Astraea into the valley, or a rescue party set alongside Selen.

you missed one of e-hondas tags, in armored core 4 on operation decent or operation ascend, theres a trucks out side the glassed area by buildings that say "e-honda" and "i want much money"

Is that steam version the same as the console version? would you happen to know? I think the main benefit of this master collection is that I can now play it on a modern system. Yes, that doesn't excuse sloppy work but a slightly sharper texture won't fool me into thinking this isn't a 20yo game.

Boletaria transformed into Disneys castle. Too much personalized, it lost it's soul. Having finished both, the atmosphere isn't the same. I prefere the original one. For me the new version doesn't respect FS and tried to stand out. Problem is they just spit on FS by trying to take possession of a masterpiece. Ffs

as someone who religiously was a fan of sh1-4 in 00s, my opinion about sh2remake is same as about demons souls remake... and recent reveal of bluray disc design just proved again to me that Bloober do not understand source material and can not do "subtle". Sigh.

This is a wonderful analysis. I'd been wondering, from someone who deeply cares, what is it about the remake that fails to resonate. Given I'd never played the original myself this has been hugely informative and really helps me to appreciate that original vision and in a lot of ways feel vicariously disappointed. I'll definitely seek out the original some time for sure.

omg, elden ring has chromatic abberation along the sides of the FOV as well and i hate it, in 4k it's super noticable and distracting and its hard to find anyone else online talking about it

Hey there, a small question: Did you use the 20th anniversary boxset of AC soundtracks as a frame of reference? Because i'm sad to tell you that it is one of the worst mixing jobs around the industry. They quantized all the tracks from their original versions (For both games and individual OST releases) so that's why you might see the soundtrack heavily compressed and laud af. Also, you should learn to play a bit better before throwing around such heavy statements as "clunky" or "slow" to describe 5th gen of AC. Just a friendly advice.

This is hands down the best video about DMC1 that i've ever seen, and i'm not here trying to putting down other content creator who make video about DMC1, but this is just truly the purest love for this specific game at it's finest, cuz the thing that separates this video to any other DMC1 videos out there for me is the usage of the ost from the game for the entirety of this video, and i never seen such a high appreciation for the ost of DMC1 before from any other channel, not to mention the highly detailed trivia about the making of the game ost's it self and the resident evil influences such as that umbrella logo thing (this is literally the first i know about that fact)... too bad RUclips is always buried any stuff or videos that i always highly have an interest on and rather showing me the same videos that i've already seen over and over again, it's really sucks, but i really hope you get more subscribers man, cuz this video is really have a high quality
