  • "Julia Vari shines whether performing jazz, pop or various Latin music styles, all of which she can deftly sing in eight different languages."
    George Varga, SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE
“[Julia Vari] blew one right out of the park [at Vitello’s Los Angeles]. Her performance was pure perfection. She has the voice of an angel who swings her heart out, and her poise and command of the stage is mesmerizing and captivating. I felt like I was in the presence of mastery.”
    - Debra Graff, Sleepless in Studio City, Los Angeles
"[Julia Vari] is without a doubt the most important voice of her genre [in Mexico]... you only need to hear the genuine display of her talent alongside Armando Manzanero!...Her talent is one-of-a-kind."
Mario Moreno Ivanova, son of “Cantinflas”
“[Julia Vari] has positioned herself as one of the most important Latin American jazz singers of our time.”
    - Fabian Vazquez, CIO TV News, Mexico
“Julia Vari exudes energy and talent”
    - Mexican Cultural Institute
Dynamic Latin American singer-pianist Julia Vari has dazzled audiences with her extraordinary stage presence and outstanding vocal technique at the most important festivals and theaters throughout the world, including recent performances at Mexico City’s National Auditorium, the CARIFESTA International Festival in Haiti, Harlem Jazz Club in Barcelona, National Arts Center in Ottawa, and Vitello’s E Spot in Los Angeles. Julia’s most recent albums, “Lumea: songs of the world in jazz” (sung in eight different languages), and “Adoro,” both remained six months on the “Top Five” jazz-world music charts in Latin America, competing with artists such as Diana Krall and Michael Buble, and consequently allowing this extraordinary siner-pianist-composer to share the stage and collaborate with musical icons such as Arturo Sandoval and Armando Manzanero. Julia has been called “The Diana Krall of Mexico” and will often surprise audiences with her unique piano stylings during her shows.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Julia studied piano and voice at the prestigious Eastman School of Music and is currently preparing her new album, an exciting fusion of electro, jazz, pop and flamenco, which will include a duet with the famous Cuban artist Francisco Cespedes.
Julia Vari was born with music in her blood, as her mother is a classical pianist and her father plays the guitar. Having studying voice, piano, theory and composition at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, as well as musical theater at New York University, Julia sings in eight languages and is known for her fusions of music from different countries, languages and genres into fresh and original jazz, fusion and world music arrangements.
