If you pay attention to what he says in videos, you can see where he is vague in even non-paid videos when he wants to hide info. He isnt nearly as point blank honest as you'd think. A lot of his stuff is very, very specifically worded to manipulate his audience into not knowing/understanding/ignoring issues. Unless he absolutely hates a game, he's usually hiding shit about it.

This is what Asmongold was talking abt not too long ago. Game journalists (ik Stephen is a youtube content creator technically) doing sell out reviews in hopes of getting more early access, inside info, invites to events etc. Knowing that leaving a bad review will put them at the bottom of the invite list.
I tried this game and the game feels very nice as a battelroyale game with different weapon types to be used and learn the heavy and light attacks while the movement are impactfuld during combat player vs. player. I havent played in teams so i cant say for sure how that is but since all character or heros have their own distinct two abilities & some heroes have healing or support abilities so it may benefit team plays... again i can suggest to give it a shot... I gotta admit this game have potential on phones as well..

Really feels like he didn’t enjoy this game at all and I found all the skin praising clips extremely disingenuous. Assuming that is his footage and he isn’t playing against a lobby of bots he looks pretty good so maybe it isn’t faked.
yeah these are full bot lobbies if not MOSTLY bot lobbies (naraka mixes actual players with bots because there arent enough people to fill lobbies) his actual gameplay looks like a someone whos never played before.

I encourage anyone taking issue with sponsorships like this to leave a dislike. Please stop taking sponsorships to cover games. I have absolutely zero issue with unrelated sponsors, like a shaving brand or something. But... without money would you be covering this game? If the new content doesn't grab you enough to want to make a video on it anyway, doing it because you're being paid to makes harder to trust the views being expressed.

Even if there was a clause in the contract that he signed (I highly doubt it) stating he had to be 'honest' (whatever that means in a legal sense) it wouldn't be enforceable. Most likely he means to say he is not under any type of NDA and can say whatever he wishes about the game. He is also free not to get any more sponsorships from whatever company if they don't like what he says. This is the case with mos reviewers, especially if the game has already launched. Any reviewers that pulls their punches for cash that is found out can kiss their credibility goodbye, and that's what reviewers need most. I like Luke, but its a silly comment. A better question is, have you ever heard him talk bad about a sponsored game? He may not take sponsorships if he doesn't think the game is quality. After all, you'd have a bad reputation if you took someones money to talk about new features in their game and then bashed it. Again, Luke is one of my favorite reviewers and I think he is a man of integrity.

This game is actually quite good and very rewarding i been fw it for 2 years now cuz i really like melee combat and idk why people are so repulsed by it the menu does look mobile gamey but thats not really a problem

1. i will admit my bias here, naraka is my favorite game by far. 2. appreciate you covering the game, the skill ceiling like the skybox is steep, ive played since launch and there is always new tech or combos to learn and perfect. 3. It's weird that people will click on a video and hate on it bc its sponsored and you have a positive review, luke got bills to pay and he can also enjoy the game that he experienced. the game is by no means perfect, it has things to critique and hate on for sure, but its not necessarily something you would notice in the first few hours of playing. i will say his opponents were 99% bots quite literally, but the game does that to ease you into mechanics. its a game that will reward the practice you put into it and high level play compared to someone just dipping their toes is night and day. I would check out a highlight reel from players like: treygo, lighthypernova, c7sper, longnotes, pakku, chefofthedead, pastdue for an example of how saucy you can get with skill expression. And if you got the time to learn the game the community is happy to have you and teach you. Hope to see you in game, Luke!

TBF, I like a lot of games but I don't make a lot of videos about them because I have other stuff in my life that takes time I could have been using to make a video. The same is for creators like Luke. The algorithm of his channel might do better when he is making his usual content and videos like this one don't usually do well. Thus his job is essentially telling him to make his usual content. So it's only when he is paid extra for it (sponsorship) that he can make videos like this one since it offsets anything lost from ad sense. I'm not saying this is the reason, I'm just saying that your reasoning isn't the best even if it is possible the conclusion is correct.

Love you and I’ve been watching for years, but recently your sponsored videos really seem like I’m being lied to. Nowadays whenever you post a video that’s sponsored, there’s little to no bad things sad about the game. How are people supposed to trust your whole channel being around “honest reviews” and then you post sponsored videos just spitting lies? You’re a massive skeptic of AAA games but as soon as there’s a sponsor ALL of your integrity is flushed down the drain.
This game is dead and trash, I can't even rank properly without getting chased by Chinese players and them teaming up with other enemy players. Not only that they don't fight each other and kill any other team that's not Chinese. Aslo the ranking system is also trash, I'm in gold and I get queued up against asura rank players... They need to server lock because they're ping is so high that I can't even hit them.
I'll give the tldr to everyone, I'm a naraka coach with over 500 hours of coaching. The game's fun, definitely better with your friends and all but the consistent issue currently is the bots, if you're on the lower ranks or if you wanna queue quickly, it's mostly just bots running towards you and that's a shame.
Everytime I've played the game it feels like half the lobby is bots. I imagine their player numbers aren't the best and they use bots to fill lobbies without having outrageous queue times.
sounds like FPS lover that hates actual skill based melee game. Naraka is the only up to date good melee combat game having the same situation similar to GetAmped in the past. People hate it because they get killed every single time in the game due to being too new player unfriendly.

But i do admit that the battle royale format sucks in a way especially being unable to find any players for 5 - 10 minutes into the game. They had a 1v1 gamemode previously, and the amount of people playing has overwhelmed its battle royale gamemode and making the battle royale obselete due to lack of players, which they decided to limit to only certain time can be played. Unfortunately, it got removed because no one wants to play it anymore because you had to wait until like 8pm just to play the gamemode for 4 hours (Which is dumb).

Even if there was a clause in the contract that he signed (I highly doubt it) stating he had to be 'honest' (whatever that means in a legal sense) it wouldn't be enforceable. Most likely he means to say he is not under any type of NDA and can say whatever he wishes about the game. He is also free not to get any more sponsorships from whatever company if they don't like what he says. This is the case with mos reviewers, especially if the game has already launched. Any reviewers that pulls their punches for cash that is found out can kiss their credibility goodbye, and that's what reviewers need most. I like Luke, but its a silly comment. A better question is, have you ever heard him talk bad about a sponsored game? He may not take sponsorships if he doesn't think the game is quality. After all, you'd have a bad reputation if you took someones money to talk about new features in their game and then bashed it. Again, Luke is one of my favorite reviewers and I think he is a man of integrity.

1. i will admit my bias here, naraka is my favorite game by far. 2. appreciate you covering the game, the skill ceiling like the skybox is steep, ive played since launch and there is always new tech or combos to learn and perfect. 3. It's weird that people will click on a video and hate on it bc its sponsored and you have a positive review, luke got bills to pay and he can also enjoy the game that he experienced. the game is by no means perfect, it has things to critique and hate on for sure, but its not necessarily something you would notice in the first few hours of playing. i will say his opponents were 99% bots quite literally, but the game does that to ease you into mechanics. its a game that will reward the practice you put into it and high level play compared to someone just dipping their toes is night and day. I would check out a highlight reel from players like: treygo, lighthypernova, c7sper, longnotes, pakku, chefofthedead, pastdue for an example of how saucy you can get with skill expression. And if you got the time to learn the game the community is happy to have you and teach you. Hope to see you in game, Luke!

Love you and I’ve been watching for years, but recently your sponsored videos really seem like I’m being lied to. Nowadays whenever you post a video that’s sponsored, there’s little to no bad things sad about the game. How are people supposed to trust your whole channel being around “honest reviews” and then you post sponsored videos just spitting lies? You’re a massive skeptic of AAA games but as soon as there’s a sponsor ALL of your integrity is flushed down the drain.
This game is dead and trash, I can't even rank properly without getting chased by Chinese players and them teaming up with other enemy players. Not only that they don't fight each other and kill any other team that's not Chinese. Aslo the ranking system is also trash, I'm in gold and I get queued up against asura rank players... They need to server lock because they're ping is so high that I can't even hit them.

I'll give the tldr to everyone, I'm a naraka coach with over 500 hours of coaching. The game's fun, definitely better with your friends and all but the consistent issue currently is the bots, if you're on the lower ranks or if you wanna queue quickly, it's mostly just bots running towards you and that's a shame.

Everytime I've played the game it feels like half the lobby is bots. I imagine their player numbers aren't the best and they use bots to fill lobbies without having outrageous queue times.

sounds like FPS lover that hates actual skill based melee game. Naraka is the only up to date good melee combat game having the same situation similar to GetAmped in the past. People hate it because they get killed every single time in the game due to being too new player unfriendly.

But i do admit that the battle royale format sucks in a way especially being unable to find any players for 5 - 10 minutes into the game. They had a 1v1 gamemode previously, and the amount of people playing has overwhelmed its battle royale gamemode and making the battle royale obselete due to lack of players, which they decided to limit to only certain time can be played. Unfortunately, it got removed because no one wants to play it anymore because you had to wait until like 8pm just to play the gamemode for 4 hours (Which is dumb).
