The iPhone Xr’a camera looks more realistic and true to life tho. The 14 pro max looks exposed like a preset or filter got added on top the video. The Xr and Xs still slaps hard especially if you know how to edit videos and know about color grading😮💨 couple short tutorial videos and you good.

I have the 14pro max and even I have to say I think the XR is still an awesome phone . I upgraded from a 6s Plus that I had for a long time back in 2017 , never had the 7 or 8 so that jump from the 6 to the XR was something special 🥰🥰 I remember all the crazy hate it got but once I got my hands on one (the awesome black one) I tried it out and fell in love with it. Wish I had it as a second phone ngl lol but nah fr to anyone that might read this if your upgrading from an older iPhone and want a good budget phone you will not be disappointed with the Xr .
I really liked the design of the XR. It did take decent photos. But it was a terrible phone. Mine was replaced 5 times in a year. It would always lose service and overheat. The overheat issue was so bad during the pandemic. The iphone XR would not shut off when overheating. I even sent it in with the silicone case stuck to it. I gave up after the 5th replacement and switched to a 12. But the 12 took worse photos, which I thought was odd.

XR/XS even against the 12 is a lot worse. 14 Pro Max camera (cinema mode) tries to resamble a Full Frame camera HDR (they're doing it since 13), and it helps a lot when editing professionally for stores and low cost video production for marketing agencies. This video is not accurate.
I’m about to buy a MacBook Air 15 inch for about $1,200. I want the pro but for an up to date one it’s out of my price range. Apple needs to make a baseline MacBook Pro that gives us the tools we need for higher demanding task while keeping it a good cost.
I have the XR it’s a big upgrade from the iPhone SE and has iOS 17 instead of 15 (edit) I forgot to mention the XR wins that battle because it shows more details than the 14.

To be honest with you because I’m a pc modder 😅 and you can also now put my menus on cell phones to make your graphics. Look like GTA five in GTA six graphics on your PC which means I have 10k resolution on my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The XR honestly looks better IMO, the 14 Pro Max brighter video over expose highlights and lift the shadows so much, it's unnatural.
