Desafirtunadamente el jurado elimino a Miss Costa Rica Maribel Fernandez del grupo de las 12 semifinalistas y solo le otorgaron el premio de miss Fotigenica, pero en el miss Mundo en noviembre de ese año fue justo al clasificarla en las 15 semifinalistas y despues en las 7 finalistas. Maribel Fernandez incursiono en el Cine y Television y resulto una actriz muy famosa.

I am talking about everything in general and how she performed it. Not other details outside of the competition...which makes my statement valid. I didn't know these details. Miss Colombia wasn't that great because what determines your make or break moment is the final question and her answer wasn't great. SA's deserved the credibility and her answer made her win. If she didn't win, she didn't win get over it.

Yo creo que miss España y miss Colombia se hubieran lucido mejor hablando en español y de corregir al interprete en caso este no lo hiciera bien. En cambio miss Suecia necesitaba un interprete en sueco, pero no pienso que habia un interprete en esta lengua nordica. I suspected that two judges who did not want her to win at all gave her zeros that pulled down her total average scores in the gown and swimsuit competitions. However, in the final selection, majority voted for her by printing her name. Miss Colombia was beautiful but she gave an anemic answer that was so boring. Someone could feel that she is trying hard to make a wisdomful answer but to no avail.
