I'll never understand why you all think it's awkward to have toilets in lego buildings. When I was young, I would be very disappointed if some house set didn't have toilet or kitchen because how can minifigs live without it? When I made MOCs, a toilet was a must in every building...
don’t know why people think toilet humor isn’t for kids make poop jokes in adult company and people will call you immature, make poop jokes in child company and you’ll be the funniest person alive
I watched someone review different Barbie dreamhouses, and they brought up a really good point that I think applies here. Originally, Barbie dreamhouses didn't include bathrooms or kitchens - they included the more fanciful aspects of life instead of what was mundane. But they soon realized that as they were making toys for children, children actually really valued those spaces, because at that point in their life, that's what they were learning about. After that, most dreamhouses included a bathroom, because it helped children play with and learn about the part of life. Lots of adults really like Lego, and these are funny easter eggs / potty humor to them, but at the end of the day, they are literal toys for children who are still new to the whole life thing.
My favourite Barbie toy was a wall bathroom set that allowed me to fill a basin with water and actually flush the toilet, use the shower and run water in the sink.

What's wrong with toilets? Are they some adult stuff, kids aren't supposed to know about? As a kid I was more upset that the lego sets never included toilets or bathrooms than the other way around.

When you started talking about the ice cream after giving the legit reasons why there would be poop involved in other sets and how it’s the same block I cracked up. I don’t even think it’s awkward. Everything poops, and poop is something your gonna have to deal with, especially if you do plumbing work or farming… I think it would be worse off if they didn’t have bathrooms. I could see an inquisitive child thinking “but where’s the bathroom?” It’s not an obsession with toilets, or even necessarily humor unless you make it humor. Nobody says “every house and restaurant has a bathroom, its like architects are just obsessed with poop humor and have to put toilets in every building”
3:11 Surprised you didn't mention the frog on top of that pile of poop. Funny that you immediately went to another set with a brown frog. This would be a great excuse to bring back the old brown and yellow colors, in the new formula of course, to help separate these from chocolate. On the topic of LEGO obsessions, I was scrolling through the LEGO website and noticed that the Ideas Natural History Museum uses bananas as ribs on the giant brontosaurus skeleton. You are what you eat I guess.
I think its very clear that the castle set used the frog piece to represent a realistic looking poop, rather then it being a frog. I find it odd that the video creator does not realize this.
@@Wandrative the instructions (LEGO Icons instructions often include trivial blurbs throughout) suggest that the "frog" is infact a frog but may not have always been brown. So basically it just got dumped on. If it was meant to _be_ poop they probably would've said "or is it a frog?" or something.
You seem to have forgotten that children actively like poop humor - to the point that there's been a poop themed craze for the last few years with every toy imaginable having some kind of poop play feature. Go to go flamingo, ugly putty, flush n' frenzy, doggy doo, poopsie surprise and a whole sea of poop themed slime, just to name a few.

Since TLG has freely admitted its minifigs poop, I do with they'd include bathrooms as standard with every modular building. Admittedly, they are starting to do that, but I had to customise a bathroom to the Birch Books/Blue House modular, and my Garage/Vets still doesn't have a WC to accommodate the staff/customers, unless the occupant of the upstairs apartment is happy to have complete strangers pop by to do their business.
I'm sry but who is actually complaining about bathroom humor in kids toys? Like if you're an adoult making poop jokes, I would call you immature, why? BECAUSE BATHROOM HUMOR IS WHAT KIDS DO!
