I used to slide the grilles together since the bars mesh, but never thought to make a door out of it since it’s slightly offset. Now you’ve got me wanting to experiment with them some more, that’s really clever.
A while ago some online friends and I started competing to see who could build the smallest Lego tank, which started with a droid torso, some technic 1x3 half beams for tracks, and a lever for the gun. Someone then used 1x2 Technic half beams and a t bar piece with a clip on it for the gun, and another person used the roller skate piece as the track with a clip on top. Wondering how I could possibly build a smaller Lego tank than the 1x1+gun length tank(I don’t remember what piece they used for the gun), I dug deep in my weirdest Lego pieces and got clever. I used a single Technic chain link piece as the body and tracks of the tank since the ends are rounded and look tracky enough. For the gun, I took one of the little antenna pieces that goes on a Star Wars clone trooper helmet and wedged the angled pointy end between the two bars of the chain link, forming a smaller gun barrel than any Lego clip piece could. I took a picture of it next to a recreation of the previous smallest tank to prove mine was smaller, and nobody built a smaller one than mine so I guess I won. Sadly I lost my tiny tank afterwards, it was too smol for this world :,(
6:57 "not every brick bending design breaks the rules" yeah.... that may not put stress on the parts per se, but since the parts aren't joined in the intended way for the pieces themselves, especially since we're told not to connect the parts all the way, which further defeats the purpose of proper building techniques, it probably still falls under the realm of "illegal"
I miss the Technic figures. I have owned and found exactly ONE in all of my life. It was included in a Technic motorcycle I got when I was 7. I wish I still had it.
I have one Technic figure I inherited from my dad, but as a kid I removed the head too much and the torso cracked so the head barely stays attached let alone upright. I tried solving the problem by wrapping clear tape around the torso, which sorta works and now I’m just really gentle with it. I love posing it because it’s so flexible and has many joints, I wish Lego would make them again, especially as we never got a female Technic figure, which may be why they died out in the first place😢
My brother and I had a couple of those, and I loved them tons. I would've still had them to this day if our mother didn't give all my toys away to charity without telling me anything. Ah well.
I would actually rather have the official Lego tiger than that MOC, because for me, those MOCs're so over-detailed that they just look like a mess. There is a point at which there's too much detailing, and those animals've definitely passed it. Also, those aren't feathers on that wolf, they're vulture wings from Season 3 of Legends of Chima.
They are not feathers; they are wings….. Ummm yeah sure, whats flying animals wings made from… that bird has no feathers.. just wings said no zoological study ever
That temple made me think that Lego sets based on The Witness would be super cool. You have beautiful nature, plus lasers, plus castles. And the glass factory would be great for color transparent pieces. And it pairs with the puzzles themselves, since most of the mazes are based on right-angle grids. And then the extra challenge would be still making hidden environmental puzzles that you can only see when you turn the set a particular way.
I do wish lego would revamp the entire clip system. I have an entire box full of battle droid arms with broken hands and both verticle and horizontal clips that have broken simpily because I used it more than a couple of times or in some cases turned whatever it was holding to much.
ah, damn, that brick separator technique is looks like something I should have figured out on my own years ago, but now seeing it being done for the first time is just genius!

3:30 put the iron man mech set unupgraded minifigure’s helmet on black panther mech set’s head. You can’t remove the ears of black panther though. It will work=)
Wow! I was surprised to see a work from BigStannis (5:00) here. Actually he is a my close friend and I was watxhing some parts pf creative process. I'll tell him that he mamages to get here, lol!
So whoever making this RUclips video highlight it white comment this tell you about how I took apart my kind like me and then I got my Minecraft black and took one of the wiggles my Steve and put like helmet on green pants just play on it and it turned out cool
The FIRST thing I saw when you showed the set of the dude holding the book was the battle droid fingers. That was clever! I was expecting them to be Bionicle Onua claws, or something, but after a sort of double take I realized it was decapitated droids. 😄
Wait... We're not supposed to tear minifigures apart and rearrange them into Frankenstein combinations?
I mean.. The brick guy said-
Too bad I made a really neat dark Jedi using parts from Hunter from bad batch, Darth Vader, some older cyborgs head and a double evil Rey lightsaber.
I used to use those 1x2 tile grille as rails for sliding doors, the top sides of the grilles fit perfectly into each other with a slight offset.

They might still fall under the "illegal" category, but police won't come to your house and arrest you

The Rivendell set actually recommends you use that brick separator slide technique in the instructions.
All hail the brick separator
That modified up-scaled figure should be named grug
Name it Lary 👍
They also used the green lanterns lantern on the top of the temple. Very cools
I figured taking the individual legs off the hip piece was illegal but I would have thought that taking the hands out was okay.
Name the cursed Lego man skinwalker
Tim
Finally you included Brick Bending in an IQ video

The old clips are way easier to break the newer ones won’t break as easily so you don’t have to worry about the strain as much with the newer clips
Yea

4:39 - With just a few simple modifications, you could totally make this into Franky from "One Piece".

The Lego Chad Change the background it to a grey hue and to the camera moments on its body on any angle and This would be good
Mate created the buff soldier TF2 in lego
"Clips are notoriously brittle pieces," he says, showing a picture of brown pieces, the most notoriously brittle pieces
love it 👌👌👌👌
The temple, if it doesn't have any illegal building techniques, needs to be an actual Lego set
Hiding the super expensive Boba Fett in that build as foliage is just the biggest LEGO nerd flex. Is that actually THE Boba Fett?
Hi I love your work
the big cursed minifigure should be called "dog"
I recently got run over by a car and ended up with a broken leg. This class really takes the edge off. Thank you. And your voice is very calming.

hat cursed big minifig should be called "Dayle the Dunce Fig."
you need to get some new gifs lol
i remember some of the old sets where you had to put the minifigure arms on yourself, i always hated doing that because i used to have pudgy fingers
Clips being fragile? Nah. Droid arms were the bane of my childhood. I had a whole airliner I never touched due to those droid arms in the door

I actually managed to forget that Lego made the “Fab five” set, but you just had to remind me.

The green piece where the water comes out of on the Zen Temple set is a Green lantern lantern
Brickbending is the PAYDAY gang of Lego

the macaroni pieces could be great for any stretchy characters like reed Richards

that wolf is sooooooo cool!!!!!
removing the hands stresses the arms? Like I get the legs and arms, but the hands used to just slip right out when I last played with them.
