- Anne Heche is on life support after suffering a brain injury in a fiery crash a week ago, and isn't expected to survive.The actor, who is in a coma and in critical condition, is being kept on life support for possible organ donation, according to her family. Carter Evans reports.

It's doubtful that her organs would be able to be used to help someone because of the damage that happens to your organs from drug use. My heart breaks for her family and friends & I am praying for them. I loved her movies and she always seemed so sweet in interviews. I am wondering if she just no longer could battle with her drug use and we never know what else was going on in her life, and if this may have been intentional, it's just so sad. She will be missed. Bless her heart.

I was thinking the same thing about her being an organ donor. They could use her skin possibly. Maybe the eyes. But her organs are probably shot with her pharmaceuticals and street drug usage.
Drug use aside, she was essentially smoked to death, I doubt anything will be viable.
@@gailbarejka77 I don't believe that would be possible either because of the lack of oxygen in her bloodstream, that caused the brain anoxia and the heart muscle needs oxygen and if not it causes infarction / heart attack and is therefore damaged beyond repair as well. So so sad.

We will never know what went through her mind before the crash. Why was she driving so fast in a residential area? She is a year younger than me. I'm so sorry this all happened, but why did it happen? That's the question with no answer.

Happened because she’s had a long history of mental illness and was likely under the influence of medications and illicit substances as well as possibly alcohol. So far tests came back positive for cocaine and fentanyl but the fentanyl could’ve been administered by the hospital. Even if she had no drugs in her system she likely was having a psychotic episode of mania and paranoia and lost touch with reality. People in that state can completely be unaware of what they’re doing and feel as if they’re in a dream. Some normal prescription drugs can cUse such things in some people especially people at risk for psychosis or schizophrenia, any latent issues can be triggered when they use a cocktail of illegal and prescription substances.
She could have had a medical emergency, and lost the ability to control the car.

Many motor reflexes occur when parts of the brain stop functioning.. like if you shoot someone in the head in the right spot they are dead but upon hitting the ground they start thrashing or convulsing like spasms....

In her podcast she was trying to help people, and I’m sure she and her cohost did just that. So unfortunate how many people succumb to drug addiction still, knowing the risks.
Because some people aren’t born healthy and need drugs to fix themselves. Not everyone that does drugs are weak people. Not everyone acts reckless they self medicate responsibility.

Am I supposed to be hurt, sad or even shed a tear over someone who consciously decided to ingest a drug into her body and get behind the wheel of a vehicle? I suppose drinking and driving is ok also? Who comforts the victims of these people? I don’t care if she was a celebrity or not if she didn’t place any value on her life when she ingested the drugs than why should the public place any value on what the outcome will be on her life?
Drug addiction is a disease just as alcoholism is a disease. It's a terribly sad thing to see anyone fight addiction regardless of what type it is. She is after all a human being.

It’s called compassion and it’s neither a zero sum game or a black and white matter. You can have compassion and understanding for both her and her victims. Anne’s actions are harmful, but there’s a greater context leading up to it. None of us live our lives in a vacuum.

My condolences to the family and I thank God nobody else was hurt or killed. Let this be a lesson of getting behind a wheele while impaired. I was hoping it was not from a bad decision but it was so sad people make hasty decisions were they can take lives. R.I.P. Anne even though you made a bad decision I hurt for your life and your family. I hope your family feels some healing in knowing your death will save other with organ donations. To all out there that like to have a good time on the week end please use designated driver, uber, lyft, call your parents. Just please don't drive. We have a contract with our children we wrote when they were 16. If they were ever in a situation that they were with someone drinking or if they drank call us to get them and it would never be discussed nor does it expire. So even though they are in their 40s they can still call us. We are blessed none of our children have ever drove even after one glass of wine. We have always spoken about the dangers.

Not gonna happen. She was found to have cocaine (and possibly fentanyl) in her system. She destroyed someone's home. The woman who lived there was lucky to escape with just minor injuries. It was fortunate that there were no cyclists or others on that street she tore down at break neck speed. Anne was on a mission of destruction and has apparently succeeded. I'm sorry for her family, but not gonna be a bleeding heart and say I am sorry for her. She did it to herself. She had every opportunity during her life to get help and get clean. Ms Heche wanted to go it "not" alone, as she tried to take a few innocents with her on her suicidal ride. She is exactly where she wants to be, dead and not feeling a thing. The same way she didn't feel a thing for any Mar Vista resident last Friday when she drove down a residential street at record speeds without a care for anyone or anything in her path. It's one thing to take yourself out but to take others with you is unconscionable and are hardly the actions of a person who thinks beyond themselves, are they?
She has drugs in her system, even if she would've survived, she would've been charged with DWI and go to prison.
I am sorry for her family all a very tragic ordeal. 😥

Did she have schizophrenia. I think I did read somewhere that someone was speculating this. And because of her father's history of being diagnosed with schizophrenia.
