I recently got my spm result this year and I am really disappointed in what I got. Believe it or not, I usually get either 10 A's or 9 A's in every examination for form 4 and form 5. I'm not bragging because it's not what I want to highlight here. For the actual spm, I only got 6 A's, which is kind of a bummer as I was really expecting to get straight A's. Believe it or not, I decided to recheck my subjects that I got B's on and currently waiting for the new results. It came to my realization that in several years from now, nobody will give a shit about your spm result, except if you got like 21 A+ or something. But still, at this point of time, spm feels like a big chunk of my life. I talked to my friends and teachers about it, but all they said is that I already didthe best. Now, I don't really care of what I will get on my rechecked result. Spm does not determine your intelligent, because it is lack in what we call as the real life situation. You could get straight A's, but can you actually apply those knowledge that get irl? Besides, I think the most important thing would be my memories that I made with my friends in high school. My dreams will not fade away just because I don't have a lot of A's as I want it to be. Keep working hard! Whoever read this, I know I may be quite young to give motivations, but the pain taught me to be humble, and keep on striving for my future.
Yep, it doesn't take a genius to understand that SPM results won't affect your whole lifetime but, I experienced first hand in what you're saying. I'm already in my fourth sem at degree and sometimes the pang of not having straight A's for SPM can hit (especially when you want to apply for scholarships for degree YET they still look into your SPM results!) It sucks, but it gets better. And good for you for rechecking your results! Do whatever you need to keep you happy and live life with no regrets. And keep holding your head high and enjoy the process x
My current place in life also feels like an end similarly to that of my SPM results. It's okay to deem a part of our lives as the end; but stories can have multiple endings x
Low key trying to tell the government to stop experimenting on children education. Sure you can use this as reference to create better education system but hell, they make my best effort look as if it is not enough.
