I hope there is long interview with Bruce to follow! Again, many thanks Hannibal, these are gems of wresting information and stories for all fans to enjoy!
Tom Billington, dynamite kid was one the greatest wrestlers EVER. His work in Japan is legendary, the guy actually invented moves used by others for years. Apparently not a nice guy, but The Dynamite Kid was a legit tough guy, and one of the best ever.
He penned an autobiography a couple of decades ago. If you haven't seen it, it's an interesting read. In particular, there's a fascinating aside about a nine year old kid knocking on his motel door in Calgary one night telling Dynamite that he was his idol and that he wanted to be a wrestler just like him. Unfortunately, in addition to all the other moves that he patterned after Dynamite, that Benoit kid also incorporated the headbutt dive off the top rope that ultimately led to CTE and tragedy.
Wow. Just got the book. Great read. Sad state hes in now. Seemed to be not a real nice guy, HOWEVER, many wrestlers have said he was theee best ever in the ring. His japan stuff is far ahead of his time.
Had him and his brother Keith both as substitute teachers back in the day, stroll in and put his boots up on the teachers desk...also had Brett come to check my smoke alarm as a firefighter before hisWWF run...good times
I remember the event In Yellowknife in June 1989. Really enjoyed that. Davey Boy and Dynamite Kid fought in the main event. I miss the old Stampede Wrestling.
I think I heard way more about Kerry Brown, and “making a long story short” than I heard about Dynamite. Seriously Hannibal, thanks to you and the other promotions that are trying to make the Canadian scene stand out! I’m hoping our country can have the exact same revolution that’s going on in the UK. We all want WRESTLING.
I was flagging on a road crew for the Alberta Department of Highways in the 80's and Kerry and Bulldog came through driving this old brown 4 door boat littered with junk food wrappers lol ...he was an asshole even then hahaha
Only one of the Hart brothers I met was Keith, and he was a very nice guy. I've read Bruce's book and Bret's book, hard to tell which one is more truthful. But in video interviews, Bret is always ready with an answer and Bruce in this one seems to have to think about it first. That said, I grew up watching Stampede Wrestling and I'm grateful to all the Harts for entertaining us an hour every Saturday afternoon!
Yes! A LOT OF FUN! "That's it, another edition of Stampede Wrestling. Bye now!" Does anyone know which one of the Hart brothers had his university Teaching Degree? From the University of Calgary I think? Thank You!🇨🇦🍺🇨🇦🍺🇨🇦
I grew up watching their dad Stu wrestle but dang how many kids did the man have and with his schedule how did he have the time and energy to create them. I remember Smith, Brett, Owen but not Bruce lol.
I think there are 12 in all. Another brother Dean, who died. Keith, Wayne, Diana, who was married to Davey Boy, Ellie, who was married to Neidhart, and that's all I can remember off hand
Was my grade 7 science teacher in Calgary in 1995 great guy I was a bully in school and took me aside and said I didn't need to be that kind of kid. Great guy. I went to Ian bazagette. Miss him as a teacher changed my life was huge I was starstruck having him. Also met the British bulldog at the Calgary stampede complete with Fanny pack and 89 parachute pants. Rode some rides with son and another kid. Helped me skip the lines 😂. Best memories as a kid
I think Bruce was a little rugged with hbk- and his knights- when he got his big Match in New York- & one of those knights was none other than the Hammer!
@@gearywalker9789 Smith was actually the oldest of Stu and Helen Hart's offspring, but he is now deceased. So, technically, you're right. Bruce is the oldest surviving of the Harts.
Was so satisfying hearing how Rougeau gave him a taste of his medicine, dirtiest punch ever.. Sucker punch with a roll of quarters clenched in his fist, waiting until just finished dynamite kid finished a big lunch.
AS in, got on the juice. Because there aren't any guys who were big other than maybe nash and andre. Everyone else with any size was on the gear. Half of them are dead now because they used their newfound strength and speed to break their bodies over time and get hooked on pain killers. Guys like Bruno, Stan Hansen, etc, all of those guys who didn't look like a lean 275, either still alive or lived a long life.
Dynamite was such a good worker, an innovator and it's cliche to say, but it applies here Dynamite was way ahead of his time. Dynamite seems to be in much better head space these days. I think he's paid a heavy price for the things he's done. I can't sit here and act like I know his past on first hand accounts, because I do not, so I will not motherfuck him so to speak, I only heard things, but I tend to judge people on how they treat me and interact with me. If guys like Bret, HBK, and in particularly Benoit who essentially was a carbon copy of Dynamite, If they all got the big belt, I'm certain Dynamite would have had it too, Vince was in love with the Bulldogs, especially Dynamite in the earlier years.... but Davey was more easier to deal with, Dyno never kissed Vince's ass, so actually I don't know if he would have ever got the big belt lol because you pretty much have to be cordial with Vince to get the belt. That's right! it's not about who's the most skillfull or "he deserves it" "clap clap"... It's all about who Vince is googly eyed for in most cases, I think the only champion who wasn't "buddies" with the boss was RVD, so, maybe if Tom's attitude was different then?, anyhow, Davey was very good in his younger years, but as he got older his body was breaking down on him and his well documented drug issues was a big issue. Vince initially was going to mega push Davey but he got the thumbs down. Dynamite Kid was an amazing talent and even though he's highly respected and some say the best in-ring performer in his day... I think he could have done so much more, and probably end up a coach in his later years, he was wigan trained wrestler from what i recall so the same house as Billy Robinson, Karl Gotch etc.
Still confuses me how a shorter/smaller British guy was going around bullying all these bigger American country boys/ex-college athletes in the locker room..
I had to laugh at Hannibal asking "for the true version"....as Hart "remembers" it?? Many of these stories get more Colorful as the years go by and the stories change a bit'
Amazing how the Hart kids all start to sound like Stu when they get older
Ant Dale bro..... that's great 100% they all sound more like pops as time goes on lol
I sounded like me dad on the phone when I was 14 to this day people think I'm him on the phone
mrnaughtycat me too
i don't ehhh, don't ehh, know what you're... talking about...

"Hey uh" is the most phrase of the entire Hart Family. God Bless Stu Hart.
This man was a substitute teacher in my class and school once after he retired wrestling I have his autograph what a legend
What class did he sub?
@@Cuse315-h3h elementary so all of them
Ya same here I got a pic with him
same, lol my class was asking him for mj's phone number
He was a sub in my school today I also have his autograph, this guy is insane

excuse you... TWO TIME SLAMMY AWARD WINNER Owen Hart

For a supposed tough guy he seems to always attack people from behind. His real issue was anger management.
Great wrestler.... Piece of shit human being!

The other guys in that locker room should have all put the boots to dynamite as soon has he threw that sucker punch. Smh.
Bruce with that image looks like an ageing Mario Brother.

great interview with Frank Costanza
LMAO !!!
Christopher Yetman more like boring fucking shit I almost fell asleep.
Who
He just died yesterday. Jerry Stiller. Ben Stiller’s father.
I love Bruce’s voice. Classic accent. I think Bruce and Owen were the only two Hart brother who were blonde. A young Bruce looked a lot like Owen.

if you look away it sounds a lot like bret
all the Hart men sound the same and they all take an hour to get out a sentence.

Interview Dynamite Kid.
They never do that they don't have the balls they love to slander him but not to his face
Dynamite is in no condition to be interviewed. Steroids and his stiff style have taken their toll on his body.
