The confrontation between Ginray and Overlord was the most exciting and interesting part of Masterforce. It was great to see that at the end of the journey, Giga and Ginray became comrades. A really incredible story of fight two brave people.

After his spaceship was destroyed by Zarak, Chromedome took leadership of the Autobots and Maximus was reanimated when Ginrai transformed for the first time in Super Convoy against King Poseidon and the Grand ship was built. It's by no means meant to be smaller than the original Fortress ship. Sizes in Masterforce shift continuosly for no reason. In one shot God Ginrai is almost the same size as Lightfoot and in the next he is a mountain with the Godmasters barely reaching HIS TOE. The brothers stuff and body for Convoy in episode 43 were retconned because no one could understand anything of the stupid new plot that they made to ruin the show.

I don't remember seeing him using the shoulder cannons when he is Super Ginrai that then become leg cannons when he becomes God Ginrai.
