Yeah I can tell you have not scene the capeoria fights the real ones vs the mms fighters who got knocked out. Never under estimate any one each martial arts has its purpose. You can find the same foot work in Silat and some of the same kicks in karate, taekwondo, and even kung fu. The real fights they hit with their hands as well.
@teddybears54 capoeiristas know how to sprawl...double leg...slam...and lots of other uncomfortable, painful things that will make you wish you never pissed a capoeirista off enough to show you malicia.
Já vi capoeiristas brigando, eles socam e dão pontapés tortos. Ai penso pra que treinar uma arte marcial se na hora que necessita da técnica ela some e aparece o "brigador de rua pé de chinelo."
Despite having practiced capoeira, and very fond of this technique. I have to say that unfortunately is not an efficient technique in a real fight. Have I practiced the techniques with other jiu-jitsu and Tae kwon do. It is seen as the method of teaching capoeira is no objectivity, is like choreographed fight film. Undoubtedly scams have great power, they are fast and powerful, but the method is trained as just turning the roost without a potent weapon accuracy.
A lot of techniques are universal through various styles maybe not how they are executed. Only experience and training can make you a better fighter not beautifully executed moves. If dancing is the primary focus in capoeira training then yes it’s going to be inefficient.
That's where you're wrong. They are just training in this case. But, capoeira, if used in a real fight, will not knock you out, will kill you. That's the difference about the others martial arts to this one. Most of them are just for attack or defense, the movements themselves are both for attack and defense. If you don't think that way, just search for real "fights" of capoeira, search for "RODA DE CAPOEIRA DE RUA".
Vídeo aulas extremamente necessárias para nosso desenvolvimento.
Parabéns Mestre Paulão

Has the element of surprise, specially if you have not practiced it. Everyone has the right to their opinion.

Alessandro Nunes i believe that it is not the art it depends on the fighter. Capoeira is an art that as
