If Capoeira mestres across the world networked, imagine the Capoeira skill level increase! Contact group leaders across the world as you are a particularly strong shining light for Capoeira. Technique is the base of all styles and will help prevent injury. Technique is essential for safe practice and speedy progress through challenges capoeira has to offer.

@@CapoeirawithSoquete As elementary as this skill is, I still cannot do a simple Aú, despite watching a number of tutorials on it and repeated attempts. I am 61 and pretty stiff despite regular stretching, so it took me over a year simply to be able to do a rolamento. I am still working on my meio rolê (by which I mean negativa moderna followed by rolamento) and full rolê (by which I mean descida básica to the side followed by stepping the bent leg back to negativa moderna followed by rolamento). I've watched Aú tutorial videos by Rawtricks (progressing from rolamento) and by Capoeira Life Show (progressing from kickup to handstand) on how to do the Aú and have been trying to get it for well over a year. I suppose that, given how long it took me just to get rolamento, I should moderate my expectations. One of my big hurdles is that I am tall (6'3") and lack space half the year (during the colder months). If you could do a thorough tutorial on this most basic of floreios I would be really grateful, since it is such an essential starting point for so many other floreios and for me it would be a huge developmental milestone just to get it. You may have it online already since you have a lot of videos and I have not yet sorted through most of them. Thanks so much!
